    I wish Jack Wolf would come out with a budget friendly (sub $100) series. Call it the "Jack diddly" or something. Maybe no tube and cloth and all the other extras. Just cut down on cost a bit? I think it would open the brand up to the wider market.

    Got to handle some of these at Blade. Turned out freaking sick! The fuller flick is perfect and even the front flip. I 100% trust JWK but honestly I was still surprised they were able to get it so perfect on their first locking folder. ✌️🔪

  • @mcsquirgle

    I was never a fan of the prices on the slip joint javk wolf knives, and I am even less a fan of the new locking versions at the price. Why should I buy one of these when Enrique Pena does mostly the same thing for less money?

    • @BenBelkin
      @BenBelkin ปีที่แล้ว +6

      All I offer is another choice in the market. There are key differences in my versions which some people might find attractive. I have a different flipper tab, I have fat carbon on all models and anodized parts, my version is bigger, my version can be flicked open or thumb rolled, I have a darker blast on my Ti, and my version comes with a pocket clip delete insert. I also have creative and interesting packaging. If these features are found to be advantageous I hope people will give my knives a try. If not, I can certainly understand why they would prefer the Pena. Thank you for reading.

    $350, nah

  • @TheTarman
    @TheTarman ปีที่แล้ว +5

    $350 isn’t a very competitive price in terms of the objective materials or even quality, which is kind of sad to see, since I’ve been wanting them to do a locking version of one of their very-aesthetically-pleasing clip points for a long time. The fact it’s being put together overseas only makes the price more silly. This is one where I can’t promise myself I’ll never take the dive to buy it, but I know that if I do, I’ll hate myself for it for a good while as my wallet cries out in agony

    • @ligaar0849
      @ligaar0849 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Seriously. Where can they justify that number? Lol

    • @BenBelkin
      @BenBelkin ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Hello there, I am Ben the guy in the video. Thank you for your feedback. Please understand that the price of this knife is driven by 3 major factors: The price to manufacture, the price to distribute and the fact I cannot work for free. These knives are not cheap to manufacture despite being made in China. The fit and finish is excellent, the materials are not cheap and there is skilled hand labor involved. I also have to make a profit margin in order to run my business. I work on this business 7 days a week and it is my full time occupation. I make a reasonable margin that frankly, if it were any less, would not be worth the amount of time I put into it. I actually make less dollars than the dealers do on these. Thank you for reading.

    Why buy a severely overpriced Jack Wolf slip joint knife for between $200 - $400 (on average) when you can buy a well made & much more practical Swiss Army knife for $30 - $50 and have enough money left over to take the family on holiday? Vanity, vanity, all is vanity, so go ahead Suckers, feed your vanity & spend your cash on a Jack Wolf knife and whilst its languishing in cupboard like a safe queen, its your workhorse Victorinox Huntsman that will sit in your pocket & cut open your packages from Amazon.

      @@BenBelkin I don't make any money out of commenting, don't get any freebies, have no shares in any Swiss Army knife stockist. My comments are not negative, I point out the obvious that your knives are very expensive irrespective of whether they are well made or not and above all else they do not represent fair value in a product. Its time that we customers are respected by folks that make or promote sales on line of knives like yours & not be treated as suckers to be milked dry of our cash. I am a capitalist and understand that you wish to earn as much money as possible but please don't think that we are all going to worship the ground you stand on just because you make fancy shmancy knives.
