It's all up to preference. But usually balis are more expensive because of how expensive they are to make. Balis like an alpha beast are made of titanium, have a high quality blade, and have durable hardware. Squidtrainers also have durable hardware, but also there is less hardware, and it's made of aluminum which is much much cheaper.

I went from the barebones trainer to the AB. I had the opposite reaction. The beast felt light compared to the BB. I prefer the AB but I still enjoy flipping the heavier BB..
that makes sense, considering the barebones is a hefty weighted knife in general. any knife that you flip that’s lighter than the one you just flip will feel like that for a bit.
Keep in mind depending on the alpha beast they can be more than triple the price of the squidtrainer, so I feel that some of your comments on the squid trainer are understatements

You can’t really compare some thing that’s made by a company that has cut corners to make things affordable and compare it to a company that charges you $400 for a premium well-made and well thought out Designed knife although I do like your video and you did make a good argument about the two so nice job about that
it depends on what you can afford. if you can afford the alpha beast ($360 new) then i would say wait for a drop or look at the secondary market. if you’re looking for a more budget friendly trainer get the squidtrainer v3.5 ($150-$190 new). the alpha beast is obviously better but brs has some qc issues so i’d be wary. it’s really up to preference.

Most people don't check there so a few can slip by, that's how I got my Squidtrainer V3.5! (And if you see this in your notifications, they have a couple right now on their website!)

I tried getting one for my birthday but instead they saw a 16 dollar trainer and called it a scam, my trainer broke after a week
