    I thought my machine was done after figuring out the first few steps on my own but was still getting no coffee. I found and followed your video and it's running great now. Truly appreciate the video.

      Translation: My coffee maker is the same as yours, a single gaggia, a cockroach got inside and made a liquid inside the plate on top of the processor, the memory rotted, it stopped turning on, I have an identical plate, the same as another different coffee maker, but on mine it doesn't turn on, a different panel, there's a way to reprogram it. This memory works in the only gaggia
      Response: Well laughing hard about "...a cockroach got inside and made a liquid..." My guess there's some difference in the programming with other manufacturer's board.
      Resposta: Bem, rindo muito sobre "...uma barata entrou e fez um líquido..." Meu palpite é que há alguma diferença na programação com a placa de outro fabricante.

    Looking at several of your similar machines with the same grinder, noticed the calibration is different. Why? This video shows the white line in the grooves of the adjusting gear whilst other videos of yours show it before the adjusting gear 🤔🤔

    Hello there! On Saeco Syntia, could you confirm me if the knob that adjusts the grinding coffee should be in the middle position once the upper plate is in its mark? Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for these great videos. I've used this video once before and completely sorted out the issue issue. However this time I have reached a problem - I'm following the video at around 6.33 mins in and cannot remove the top burr despite pushing down the adjustment knob and trying to turn - it seems really stuck! Have you got any further tips to remove it? Thank you very much :)

    Hey guys, the grinder of my Gaggia Unica is doing a weird noise, like losing strenght. Its not even grinding the grains right.
    Any tips?

      Have you done the clean and calibrate procedure in the video?

      I just did some part of the job and it seems that it worked for now. Just took off the top and lateral screws, took off the gaggia top cover, and cleaned up the coffee dust and beans with a vacuum cleaner. The coffee dust repository was totally full. Took off all the beans of grinder's top cover too.
      The first test was successful, the coffee was delicious as I cannot remember.
      I think I don't need to go furher in unmounting the grinder, what do you think guys? I'll try to do some coffees tomorrow morning.
      By the way, 3 of 4 top screws are the allen type, and the bigger one is damaged, I think if I put that screw again in its hole and I'll never could take off it back. Its better if I can replace that screw by a new one.

      Glad to hear you got it working again. Grinding very fine with dark roasted or oily beans can in some cases clog the coffee delivery chute.

    Hi guys! I have a serious problem with my gaggia unica. When pressing the coffee button, it starts grinding for one second, then stops, and all the top red lights start to blink. Tried to clean the grinder but did not work. Any suggestions?

    Hello guys, my Gaggia Unica coffee is coming out too weak (the grains repository isn't full of coffee dust this time), so I tried to regulate the grinder through the easiest way possible, using the Gaggia Unica key that comes with the machine. I fit the key in (it has two symbols "+ thicker" and "- thinner" in the key top) but when I tried to turn it to any side, its kind of stuck. The manual says the grinder has to be grindering coffee grains while I turn the key, but it did not worked as well (I did not pushed too hard to do any damage). I think I have no option but unmounting the grinder as you did in the video, but if you can give me some tips I appreciate.
    Thanks!

      Hi AB, You can adjust to a more coarse grind without the grinder running. But be very careful about adjusting finer if the grinder is not running! Always some coffee chunks left in the grinder. Trying to adjust finer with those chunks there can cause things to break. If things are just stuck then a cleaning as shown in the video should help.

    • @gbortolas
      @gbortolas 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the video helped a lot. I unmounted an cleaned the grinder, and find out the only way to calibrate the grinder is through that disc with teeth that fits on the grinder. The mecanism to regulate the grinder through the gaggia key is really stuck. But altough the machine is working now, unfortunately I have mounted something in the wrong way, the screws are too tigh. I'll try to unmount and mount again today.

      Thanks for the update and good luck with your fix. Also curious, how long have you had the Unica? Any idea of its age or number of coffees it's made?

    • @gbortolas
      @gbortolas 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the good luck guys, I'll need it! lol. I bought it 1 year ago from my sister, and she had it for 2 years with her husband. Doing a basic calculation, I think it made 3000 coffees, more or less. Now its the first time someone ever cleaned the grinder. And thanks to you I think I'll never have to spend money doing basic maintenance on the machine. Here in Brasil everything is too much expensive, mainly maintenance in appliances.

      Thank you for the reply! So making about 1,000 on demand coffees a year - that's awesome and probably way more cost effective and convenient than going to a cafe.
