The thing about being a Keyblade Master is that after the Foretellers, MoM and Luxu disappeared the title lost a lot of meaning. With maybe the exception of Luxu's student line there is really no way that the title meant the same thing as it did in the age of fairytales. Ephemer (as far as we know) had no way of becoming a Master the way that MoM taught the Foretellers to be Masters. Luxu outright says that the Union Leaders were not masters in one of his reports in KH3. The Lost of the the seven Keyblade Masters really lead to a huge lost of knowledge which can only really be restored now that they are back. Some of that Knowledge includes what it actually means to be a Keyblade Master.
Ephemer I believe was named a Keyblade Master because of a political need for a leader. Not because he was on the same level as the foretellers, something that I don't think any character except maybe Luxu's student line has done, and even they I think likely never truly got to that level. Ever since Ephemer the title of Master I think has been completely political.
They are not choosing people that have mastered something to do with the keyblade, they are choosing the next leaders, teachers, and war commanders and giving them the title of Master so that other wielders will listen to them.
Eraqus wanted both Terra and Aqua to be teachers, to go out and find more students because their culture was dying for lack of people to be wielders. In other words for a political reason. He failed Terra because his struggle with darkness was against Eraqus' own political agenda.
Yen Sid needed another Master because they were about to go into a War/battle and he needed a commander to help keep these new wielders in check. He hoped that by giving them the title that he would be able to enforce enough responsibility onto the boys that they would listen to the chain of command rather then go off on their own. Go off on their own was in fact something Sora and Riku where doing all the time before DDD. It was completely political and had very little to do with them actually being "masters".
Luxu often laughs or jokes about the present day Masters and I honestly think that he has a huge reason to. Our present day masters are missing something and although we don't know what that something is, it's going to be very important.
Honestly I think all the present day masters, Mickey, Aqua, and Riku are more likely to lose there titles then any of the characters are to gain it. And those that do become true Masters are likely going to become so because the Foretellers do something now that they are back. Most likely they are going to take on at least one student and train that person into becoming a Master. Likely more then one person. Someone who can replace any of their masks/roles when things happen in the next saga to cause the foretellers to turn on each other, or die, or any number of things.
So when guessing who is going to become a Master next what you actually have to ask yourself is who will the foretellers like enough that they are willing to teach them the true secrets of what makes a Master a Master.
Kairi being a wielder who is a pure Light, who has to our knowledge never seen Luxu/Xigbar, and has the same color scheme as Ava is the most likely to become a student of the foretellers in my opinion. However that would take her character in a way that a lot of her fans would be a bit upset about. As it might lead her on a villain siding arc.

Damn you always make great points and write so well! You should consider doing videos yourself, everything you said was brilliant. The idea of the 3 current masters losing their titles never dawned on me as a possibility but I can 100% see that happen to someone. I would love to eventually see a 'what if' the ancient masters plus MOM fought the newer masters (Yen Sid, Odin, Eriques, Xehanort, Riku, Mickey, Aqua). I love Riku but I feel like he's so out classed in this line up 😆 The anicent masters seeing Kairi as a potential Master in their eyes and choising to train her would be so dope I think!

@@UnlikeMike0 Thanks for liking what I had to say.
I didn't quite get your line about Riku. Do you mean that he wasn't quite ready to be a master when you compare him with the other present day masters? Or did you mean he seems to be stronger then most of the other present day masters. Because honestly both are possible with what you said and both are kind of true. However I still think that naming Riku a Master was really more to have a stronger chain of command then because Riku was in any way ready to be one. Also when talking strength of ability Terra, Sora, and Roxas show more then Mickey, Yen Sid(most of the time) and Aqua(at least beginning of BBS Aqua I swear she is made of glass and doesn't become a cannon until the end game).
Also yes I am thinking about starting to make my own videos. However because of personal problems I need a few more months before I can actually start. I'm thinking at least six more months if nothing else comes up.
Also the ancient Masters really liking Kairi and wanting to train her, and Kairi going super anti Darkness because of it, has been a personal hope of mine. Maybe even to the point that she an antagonist to Sora and Riku when they get back. Simply because she believes in what the foretellers are saying in Light is Good, while Riku is a true Balance character and all of Sora's themes and symbolism is about being the connection, the between, or the Balance(even if Sora isn't mentally there yet).
However I can honestly see Kairi going in so many ways right now that even though this is my personal favorite I can't say it is any more likely then about three other ways she could end up.

I wasn’t sure if Ephemer was a keyblade master but now maybe that makes sense because Brain gave Ephemer his keyblade as a symbol of their friendship

Guys, Roxas doesn't even care about keyblade stuff or light vs darkness. He fights for his own reasons. He isn't Keyblade Master material.
