He has a great voice and I love the sound, but the message of the song is pretty obvious.

As an Australian, this song desn't just resonate with American's, this hits home here in Australia. Whilst its not to the same extent that America is, Australia is also in a similar situation that Americans are in right now and this song just hits so hard. I’m a trucker that lives in his truck. I’m on the job 70 hrs a week. I get 34 hrs off a week to recoup and do what I need to do. I haven’t had a vacation in years. My pay is about half of what it was 2 years ago. Everything is higher except wages. This guy hits home with this song.

A month ago he was struggling with alcohol and depression when he fell to his knees and prayed to God. After he wrote this song. A local radio station came out to his land and recorded this. An overnight sensation.
Today he played at a farmers market and there was standing room only. Everyone was singing along. He said last month he played to 20 people lol. He's so surprised.
He's got other songs but this is the only one professionally recorded. Others are recorded on his iPhone. They're still good and full of the same soul as this one.

Even if it wasn't enough to cover bills and my Budget showed -$500 or had a food line of $50 for a family of five, it still helped manage the unmanageable. When you are negative it really gives a concrete goal of what you need to "go find" during the month to make it.

The whole show was love America and truth. Of course, he saved this song for last. The audience was singing along with him. I auto play this song all the time. @MrLBoyd I accidentally found this young man four years ago. He is a singer, and had a TH-cam channel with very few followers, he recorded himself, just singing on an iPhone, and some of his songs were absolutely heartbreaking.
He was just singing out to the universe, his soul. Then came along RadioWV they have a channel that goes throughout the Appalachian mountain areas of West Virginia into the hollers to listen and record unique Appalachian voices.
Their channel highlights, all different types of musicians of this specific genre. They found Oliver singing at some little get together for the community and asked to record him on his property live, and that they would provide the microphone and do the recording.
He took them up on it. They put it up on their channel and everything‘s been history for the last nine days!

Up until a few days ago this guy was recording his songs on an iPhone and posting them on TH-cam. RadioWV heard his stuff and wanted to give him a shot at a bigger audience by filming a song for him and putting it on their channel. This is the song that he decided to put out there and it just went viral. This guy is just a farmer in Virginia wanting to use the same music that helped him overcome some of his own demons to inspire others. Nobody could orchestrate how this all happens, you have to think it's divine

Heard he just turned down an $8M contract. If you get a label, you get controlled. Also, for someone recovering from substance abuse it’s better to take it slow and not put yourself in a position away from your support structure. He’s being wise. Keep praying for wisdom for him.
