That first spot, I hit the same fish in that same spot on 7/19. Incoming tide and there was a bit of an eddy in that channel from the corner of that island. I caught fish on four consecutive casts on a shallow crank. I probably got 7 out of there but most were dinks.
I caught my first kayak fish the other day on a frog, super new to it. One hand on the rudder control, both legs paddling the mirage drive, one hand on the rod, chin on the butt of the rod for leverage. I don’t know how you guys do it.

Thats like the weather here in middle tn. One day it said 90 and 10mph winds and itll be 98 and 0mph and the next day we had a tournament and got hit by a freak thunderstorm with 50mph gusts in it with no storms in the forecast. Just the way it goes i guess.
can we get a vid where you call out the weight on the hookset, and you weigh each to see how close you get? would be fun to see how accurate you are with small ones vs big ones.
Awesome day on the delta!!! The weather app on the iPhone is way off for the delta. I use the “Willy weather app” they run off the stats at the local airport pretty accurate with the tidal information, pressure, and weather.
Nice video. It's interesting how your fishing style differs. My choice for the delta would be two flipping rods, two worm rods, and a topwater rod. No spinning.
For sure, Todd. Yep, I usually have some of the big rods on me just haven't been able to get that bite going (well at least for this video). Next few delta outings are much different!

I wish the fish where I live were that active and hitting topwater lures, I went out for 7 hours today without getting a bite. Water temp was 90 degrees at 9 am. The bass seem to just shut down in the heat of summer.

So Delta colors for poppers would shad or bluegill. For softbaits, watermelon and or black and blue. What are your thoughts? Any success with crankbaits and what time of day?
depends on where in the detla. This part of it was gin clear so poppers in shad/white/ghost are great and green pumpkin/natural colors for plastics. I usually only throw cranks in prespawn and fall and along rock banks when the grass hasn't grown yet
They're actually not waterproof but very breathable and I was off the water pretty early on this day. I've got some lightweight SPF running pants that are good for those 100+ days

Right on man! Yes! I think the boat is perfect for folks 5'5'' up to 6'5''. You're not losing much if any at all stability (versus the titan 12) and the storage is just about the same. I actually think the 10.5 is a bit more efficient with storage since everything is within reach and the back of both boats offers plenty (actually too much) room for creates, gear, etc. I've had many people over 6 foot say that the 10.5 was a much better feel than the 12 and the lesser weight/cumbersomeness was a bonus with the 10.5

I like launching there, usually pretty quiet and not much traffic. You can pay launch online too if your fishing early and didn’t bring cash.

Solid day! As for wind forecasts at the delta I've had a lot more luck with Dark Sky vs any other app. If you haven't tried it yet, give it a shot!
