I think that the sun coming up allowed the fish to get a better lock on the black frog. Early in the morning, they didn't have a good silhouette to aim for, likely seeing the yellow stripes in the legs better than the body itself. I fish with exclusively black frogs, and notice that my hookup ratio ALWAYS gets better the higher the sun is.

I had pretty bad scoliosis and had to have 2 Harrington rods attached to my spine to straighten it out when I was 16. Used to have horrible back pain. That roller looks great.
Amen to that Greg. My back is a wreck from Truck Driving. I can’t bend anymore without it clunking and popping. Discs are so deteriorated that I have lost 1 1/2” in hight. Standing to fish out of my tracker boat hurts in no time. Sit or stand.

Thy a white frog when its cloudy and a black when its sunny. The colors show us the best in those conditions could have been why you caught so many on the white plopped and missed them on the black frog. Great vid!

I have been Limited to the things I can do this last year I had a Back Fusion and wish I had not had it done but from years of Abuse it caught up to Me, things we do when we are young and the kind of work I did all My life. Now to find a Back friendly YAK :)

Trim the skirts on the frog in about half. That may increase your hookup rate. I notice dinks will just hit the skirts sometimes. It may help out. Great video man! Thanks

That black frog is the best frog on the market. Its smaller an u can cast long. Ive caught so many bass on that lure.

I like to follow up misses on the frog with a senko and it usually gets em
When you get a big blow up on top water take a quick pause, then tighten up your slack. After that give it a good hook set. This Might help out a little. Definitely helps me cuz I know I can get excited seeing a blow up. Sometimes I rush into the hook set causing me to miss the bite.
I do the same, much better than a hook set on slack line

With the frog cut your trailer legs in half and you’ll get a lot more hook ups they miss it because they go more for the legs and they make them a bit to long… I haven’t missed a fish since I did that.

Greg, I fish in the Sacramento and American river a lot and would really like to know the locations you put your boat in at in your videos. I ask this because I see a lot of Delta Fishing, but the Delta is just so big and there are many locations to put in at. I love watching your videos, keep up the great work and awesome content.
Awesome video Greg. Have you ever tried the Zman pop frogz? They kill down here in Florida. Texas rigged on a 3/0-4/0 EWG hook and alot of those missed strikes become catches. Thanks again!!
