Hi , awesome video thank you for sharing. A question if you don't mind, Do you guys use lowest allowed tyre pressure to get maximum grip ? (avoiding tyre damage ofcourse).
The target is to reach a specified "hot" tire pressure i.e. at working temperature. If you're too low the tire structure won't be right (and it will be slow) and if you're too high the same. Even being 0.05bar off makes a difference and its a moving target for all teams during race weekends.
@@bmardini thank you very much for answer, i thought setting lowest allowable tyre pressure would be fastest, as f1 teams go low as possible even tho it cost tyre damage sometimes.
hi! first off i'd like to say thanks for uploading these and being active on here to answer our questions. i am a sound developer for a popular sim. i'd like to know, irl, the engine sound that you hear, is it similar to the recording in the video above or is it more bassy like in this video i've found? th-cam.com/video/UIIjCom8H88/w-d-xo.html. or is it somewhere between the two?
Never. And in the real thing it is a different sound in each gear so its really music to me. When racing goes electric that's when I'll hang up my helmet for good
@@bmardini god I hope I’m able to hear that sound with my own ears some day. If you’re ever in Austin and doing some laps at COTA, let me know ;) Hopefully racing never goes fully electric. I love electric cars, but sound is such a big part of racing, I don’t think it’ll ever completely go away. I think Jay Leno put it really well. Electric cars will be our daily drivers, but gas cars will be what we take out on the weekends for some fun. Hopefully he’s right. Anyways, stay safe out on the track and keep the videos coming!
Love these videos. What do you think of the changes they made to Zandvoort? I have only ever driven the old version in sims, and I don't have a game which has the updated one.
I've never driven the old version. I really enjoyed zandvoort, I have to say one of my favorite circuits. Turn 3 and the last corner have a lot of banking which makes for a really fast entry and exit, and a very strange feeling in the car, but amazing. F1 qualifying will be unreal

Does that gearbox whine ever get tiring? I could listen to it all day long

Rfactor 2 has a new version of zandvoort but i dont know if it is laser scanned as it is a free track. The RF 2 also has a Porsche cup
