Reporter: "Yes, how many folk singers are are there who are llike you, trampling in the grapes of meaningful songs" (something like that). Dylan:....i think it's about one hundred and forty eight. I saw him in concert on september 3, 1965, at the . hollywood bowl. it was the second concert of that tour, the first was forest hills, famous for the people there who booed the changes in the music. august 28 i think. a week later i saw him, it was the same line up, Al Kooper, Levon Helm, Harvey Brooks, Robbie Robertson. during that week separating those shows, highway 61 revisited was released. nobody at those concerts had heard ballad of a thin man before. or desolation row which was in the acoustic set. those shows were the first concerts he ever did with a full electric set. nobody booed him at hollywood bowl, new dylan songs !! incredible mind blowing songs. most people at forest hills felt that way too, i've heard a recording of it before. the booing got a lot of attention. recordings of both those concerts show how the audience didn't cheer when the music intros of those new songs started, confusing. why aren't they cheering at the beginning of desolation row? that's when i realized when listening to the concert video on you tube, it was because nobody had ever heard those songs before. they didn't already know what they were hearing from the intro. and people were dead quiet, straining to hear the new dylan lyrics, except at the funny lines like one hand tied to the tight rope walker, the other is in his pants. laughter. then silent again. i didn't know any of this stuff about that concert or when highway 61 album was released, etc. it was only thanks to the internet decades later that i found out that history which is so interesting to me. in those days nobody knew when albums were going to be released, there wasn't any medium that put out that information, or any market for it. not for high school kids anyway. that was a great year. the next year was blonde on blonde, that was really some experience. i didn't see dylan in concert again until february 14, 1974 at the LA forum, the last concert of the last tour of dylan and the band.
Bob ‘s persona is such that he is honest to himself and if others feel awkward about what he says or does that’s their problem. Yeah his crazy like a genius of songwriting/singing , music and a savant . It’s too bad there weren’t more honest and less phoney people like Dylan 👌👍🏼❤️❤️
I have a relative who owned a top notch hair salon. They used to cut hair for a lot of rock stars that came through town. When Dylan was booked with a couple of members of the band he was touring with, his management gave instructions to the staff at the salon that they weren't to look at him..... Straaaange! But funny..

Dylan did get his wish of being on a sitcom he appeared on dharma and greg in 1999. Idk what came first the appearance on the sitcom, the movie or the story. I really do hope more funny stories of Dylan come out I know he's a private person but he's incredibly fascinating. You hear the story of Dylan while on tour wandering around city ghettos looking for famous musicians childhood homes he apparently got pulled over and questioned by the police of course bob was wearing cowboy boots a hoodie his usual incognito attire. The guy from HBO didn't know a THING about Bob Dylan. I'd turn my back too. Everyone knows he didn;t play at Woodstock..but he lived a mile away. He played Woodstock II. if you are goin to show your Woodstock tickets you should at least know who was there.
All the HBO exec said was look I still have two original tickets etc etc to Woodstock. At no time did I hear it relayed that he thought Dylan played it. It just fodder for the humorous story . Hicole 🤦🏻♂️ !!!

song4night, yeah he does, but it's endearing, owns a boxing gym, great story, so funny, the guy telling the story clearly adores Dylan, since he's on the Bob Dylan train, still it's like talking about the things that irritate you from your friends. Whoever this guy is, he's a great storyteller. I want a HOT beverage, something HOT! The magic box. I always loved Dylan's fashion sense, it's always surprising, and he's not afraid to wear makeup or costumes even off stage. I have to say though, he has had some strange outfits...hey Bob what were you thinking when you put this ensemble together? Still, it makes for a compelling sight while performing. He's very much aware that while performing he has to re-invent his image. Whether it be open chested black leather or big polka dot shirts, or striped tuxedo pants, cowboy hats, putting whiteface on (Tangled Up in Blue) and scores of other unusual and interesting clothing.
