Well done. I just bought one of these as my first GoPro, mostly to be used on a tripod to film soccer games. The wide view allows me to fit more field into the frame, plus the durability will be great when there's a lot of sand / rain / dirt...ect out at our games. I feel like I'm fully informed on it now.

What I mainly wanted a GoPro for was to capture in car footage for my channel of my summer car I only take out the garage in good weather. That being said, Is the new 2018 Hero the right move? It seems it from your video but some other videos say otherwise...

This is some pretty great stuff as always. I plan on skipping this model and going for the 6. You just can't go wrong with that buttery smooth image stabilization . The hero session is going to be my secondary b-roll camera

Great Video Mr, I just picked one up yesterday at Best Buy on sale for $149. The instruction manual was unreadable because the print is so small. You answered all my questions to the Tee, know I can’t wait to start talking Photos and videos.

I know nothing about Go Pro and this was a fantastic beginners review, thanks. The only thing I wish is that the audio were better, almost every sentence trailed off to the point where I could not hear it but still great info. Now I need to find out the differences between all the models, Go Pro 5, 6, 7 and so on. I had no idea they had so many. This one is a 2018, but it has no model number..., another learning curve I guess. OK, thank you.

Excellent video . Been trying to decide if i should get one of these for months, think i finally will though. Currently do my videos using my Android but by the end of the day the battery is nearly dead and im left without a phone! Will definately invest in the spare battery and charger too!

Gopro hero 2018 is just locked hero 5. There is a "jailbreak" to unlock it

Terry Faust I saw in another review that you can use the hero 5 external mic adapter..
Yes you can however it doesn’t give me some of the extra audio options in the menu but it works just fine
Is there an adapter cable for a 1/8" mic jack to the GoPro USB port?

That does happen to me from time to time. Unplug it and check to see if it’s fully charged. Sometimes the light stays on
