Out of all the Single Stroke Pneumatics I own there is one that charges easier than the others and that's the FAS 604. It charges easier and develops roughly similar velocities to the others, HW40, HW75 and a Gamo PR45 which is less than 400 fps. But they are very accurate and easy to shoot. I may look into getting a Webley Nemesis in .177 calibre. Many thanks for a great presentation.
Just picked one of these up, guy claimed was sealed as still in the packaging. However wasn't new. Had marks on the bottom rail and on the grip. So I would say I paid over the normal price for it. However was for sentimental purposes as was the first air pistol that I was shown to shoot by my father. So will be with me for many years and my son will get to shoot it when he's a bit older.
I’ve got five of these now including a grey one, silver one and a gold plated one. Do you know which screw does what in regard to trigger adjustment please?
hi,came across your channel quite by accident,excelent and informative my one query is why you have targets with so many rings when you only appear to need one…… ps. ordered my savage yesterday.
Hi, I just used the targets that I can get hold of. At longer distances I do hit the outer rings 😄. I think the Savage is fun little rifle, I just didn't like the end fitting. Let me know how you get on 👍
Hi , I’ve just borrowed one of these off my son , he’s had it knocking about in a cupboard for yrs but the rear sights are missing , any ideas if there’s any open sights from a more modern gun would fit , or we’re I could obtain some from , many thanks in advance Shaneweightman
Hi Shane, The short answer is that I don't know. I personally get a lot of parts from Protek Supplies, and they offer mail order too. It's unlikely that you'll find it on the website, but if you call them, they will know. proteksupplies.co.uk
@@RealAirgunAdventures ive heard the beeman concept was stolen from weirauch but it was not worth fighting for it {I believe this was on pyramydair blog}
@@WalnutandSteel I have the rifle version in co2. It's not bad as a stand alone airgun but it bears no relation to the original. Certainly not built to the same standard.
@@georgeaura I feel you pain. I don't often buy air gun o rings, I tend use epdm or nitrile, as I have them for work. The best one are for refridgeration, very high quality. Unfortunately they are expensive and hard to find. Maybe befriend an air con engineer 🤣
My dad has one of these with the optional shoulder stock, a lovely gun to shoot.
They are nice to shoot and give most of the modern pistols a run for their money 💰

That's interesting, I'll look out for one of those. Thanks for watching. 👍
Just managed to pick up a mint example, with .177 & .22 barrels, speed point sight and aim brace. All in fantastic condition and shooting perfectly 😊😊
Well done! That's sounds like a beauty. 👍
The hammer / latch is a die cast metal. Like the beeman and weihrauch.

Built to last, unlike a lot of new stuff. Sentimental reasons are the best reason to own one of these.
It's a metal hammer 👍

Is very alike .. awsome review again 👍🏻
Cheers John. I doubt I'll get a lot of views on it but that's not why I did it. 👍

@@shaneweightman certainly is. They are brilliant pistols.
Nice pistol !
I like my beeman p17 but I would enjoy a bit if weight and metal
But at the same time the trigger is impressive for the price point...
Good pistol and probably the inspiration for a lot of the current offerings. 👍

@@LowkeyAirgunner Beeman sell the hw40 under licence as the p3. They also have rhe Chinese p17. I think Beeman may have a part to play.
@SpringPistonRifleFever LoneWolfStrength I cant shoot it I am getting blind {and shaky} 😁
But I still like it 😋
Yes the p17 is very light and the grips are poor .my gamo compact fits all my needs it's heavy and grips are match style
Can't hit anything with my pistol , so I give up , just sitting around in the cupboard now ... might dig it out the weekend come to think about it ..
Pistol shooting is a bit different. Just needs getting used to. Of course you might have a dud 😅🤣
love mine!
You must have just about every air pistol ever made 😂
Not close, but I am working on it!

I picked this up at a car boot last week in 2.2 does anyone now what there worth now
I think about 50 to 100 quid retail. Depending on condition.
I did well then I paid 25 and it's the nicest pistol I've ever shot

The only thing I don't like is the o ring by the hammer
It's always a compromise with air guns. Always find something that could be better. 🤣
