Really hope Ninja Warriors Once Again and this one eventually make it onto Steam. Apparently Wild Guns Reloaded didn't sell too well on PC or something? These are some of the best remakes I've ever played.

Question this Ikazuchi was in story mode?! I watch yer playthrough via story mode but Ikazuchi is never appear.

Being able to stick it to an enemy and still move around trivializes some of them. The last boss is a joke lol.

Ikazuchi was my favorite of the now-quintumvirate since seeing her in the gameplay trailer. A cute-as-heck weasel miko who has storm powers and shoots lightning bolts like rapid-fire DBZ ki blasts or like a Ghostbusters proton beam? What's not to love?
Now that the game's out, I see I was right to think so.
Just one thing I can't find, what is she in terms of Japanese mythology/folklore? The only mythological Japanese weasels I know are kamaitachi, and she doesn't fit that very well. Unless she's just her own thing.

She is possibly based on a Raiju/Raijuu, literally translated to thunder beast, a youkai who is the companion animal to Raijin, the god of thunder and lightning in Japanese mythology. They can be almost any animals, and weasels/ferrets are one of the more popular animals they can be.
Her name, Ikazuchi, means lightning. That companion to Raijin thing may be the reason why she is dressed like Pocky, a shrine maiden

You can either get her or Hotaru Gozen in stage 5 of the story mode. I'm not sure what determines which character you get, but there's probably a way to get one consistently.

The Japanese version is out, and fully translated to English (digital and physical). The western version will be out on June 24th, I think.
