Teri, after watching Dave's video I found some episodes of the show on TH-cam and watched the shoplifting episode. Not only did the comedy hold up (I laughed out loud several times), but there is a moment where your character refused to plead guilty. That part of the scene and your lines specifically and how you delivered them made me get a tear in my eye. I was feeling a Mr Smith Goes to Washington vibe. That show was a gem, and it's great that we live in an age when we can pull up classic entertainment with just a few keystrokes and enjoy it again. I hope all is well with you in your life. Take care, and God bless!

I remember watching "We Got It Made" and thinking the show was kinda lame, but Teri Copley was absolutely mesmerizing. I always hoped she would reappear in a better show but she just vanished. I'm glad she found happiness, she seemed so nice. Thanks for the update.

When this was first shown in the U.K. it was the only show I wanted to watch each week.
To be blunt I only watched it to see Teri as she was so beautiful.
I still think back fondly to this show, and it seems that in later years Teri’s inner beauty has flourished too.
I can only wish someone like her the happiest possible life.

I had forgotten all about Teri Copley, She was gorgeous and she still is a beauty! Teri was a joy back in the 1980's and I agree that theme song was the worst and I believe it is difficult for a show to really find it's way when the first thing viewers hear is a horrible theme song.

@@mikesilva3868 ... I noticed your mention in a couple of places. Would you mind expanding it a bit. Teri didn't play Vicki. Mom on the series was a little known actress, but certainly gorgeous. I didn't watch much of it, but I remember some of the characters. The dad / inventor appeared in quite a number of TV commercials before nabbing the role in Small Wonder.

    • @mikesilva3868
      @mikesilva3868 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@JW...-oj5iw small wonder was a 80s siticom The story lines revolve around V.I.C.I. (an acronym for Voice Input Child Identicant, pronounced "Vicki"), an android in the form of a 10-year-old girl. Vicki was built by Ted Lawson, an engineer/inventor for United Robotronics, in an effort to assist handicapped children. Lawson takes the robot home so that it can mature within a family environment. Vicki's features include superhuman strength and speed, an AC outlet under her right arm, a data port under her left arm, and an access panel in her back. Despite this, the Lawson family initially tries to pass Vicki off as an orphaned family member whom they eventually legally adopt as their daughter.
The Lawson family tries to keep the robot's existence a secret, but their disagreeable neighbors, the Brindles, keep on popping up at the most unexpected moments - especially nosy next-door neighbor Harriet, whose father happens to be Ted Lawson's co-worker. The show's humor frequently derived from Vicki's attempts to learn human behavior, her unprecedented echolalia, the robot's literal interpretation of speech and the family's efforts to disguise the robot's true nature.
To explain child actress Tiffany Brissette's aging during the show, the series' producers had Ted give Vicki an upgrade in the series' third season. He aged her face, dressed her in modern clothes, and allowed her to eat and drink. The food passed through her naturally and the drink cooled her internal system.
      Hope this helps 😊

After digging around on the internet to learn more about her, I discovered what a truly beautiful person she is, inside and out. What a story! No two, 1980s NBC main titles could be as different as "We Got It Made" (completely lackluster) and "Quantum Leap" (a gem).
Good call, "Rometiklan." A clip from one of Teri's ultra-sexy "Quantum Leap" scenes, was incorporated into one of the show's various versions of its dazzling main title -- blessed with that fantastic theme by Mike Post.
. . . . So, how sexy was ultra-shapely, blonde, luminous Teri Copley in that "Quantum Leap"? Scott Bakula's peers at the Television Academy should have nominated him for an Emmy just for his self control at keeping his performing-arts-trained eyes at eye level with his beautiful guest star -- when her treasure chest is liberally apparent. Aside from looks, Teri was a competent actress. "We Got It Made" was supposed to be her "breakout" as evidenced by the Sunday Los Angeles Times Calendar, for a relative newcomer, rather unusually devoting a major feature on her coinciding with her sitcom's early, debut season.

About 3 months ago I watched a block of 80 Pilots, and the two that I had almost forgotten about were (We Got It Maid and Too Close For Comfort). It also found one of my brother's favorite shows from the late 70s early 80s, James at 16.
They should just call TH-cam, rabbit hole... because you can spend hours watching failed sitcoms, pilots and shows from your childhood.

To "theylied1776" . . . That started out as "James at 15." Then, most memorably, halfway through its single NBC season, when on Feb. 9, 1978 in the pivotal episode 'The Gift,' wherein James loses his virginity to Norwegian stunner and near-every teen boys' (and many of their dads') fantasy, Kirsten Baker, 20th Century Fox Television upped its property's title a year to "James at 16."
A good, under-rated show that -- unfortunately for many -- did not survive to renewal for a second season.

I loved James at 15 and 16! The character James and I were the same age so I could definitely relate to the characters on the show. "James" was played by actor Lance Kerwin, who today is a recovering drug addict and a born again Christian who I think lives in Hawaii. Dave should do a video profile on Lance Kerwin.

01:02 - 01:03 The creators' names flash by in LESS THAN a second. Perhaps that's an indication of how "proud" they were to be associated with the far-from-stellar "We Got It Made."
To all those complaining about the theme song -- I wholeheartedly agree. How NBC let that main title slip by is a mystery of the '80s -- and 'one for the ages.'
But, thanks to our host, Dave Sundstrom, for this brief visit -- first time for most; 'a trip down memory lane' for others.

I think We got it made came along about three years too late. By the 80s America was easing into the comfy arms of Family ties and The cosby Show (the show's arms, not Bills!) and the show kind of missed the "risque" vibe it was going for. But yes, Teri was a very beautiful and engaging actress and I always kind of wondered why she didn't do more. There was definitely a Suzanne Somers vibe there. But I suppose the networks type cast her as the dumb blonde as they so often do and that was that. Very happy to hear she found comfort in a higher power and that seems to sustain her. Wishing her much luck, and thanks again Dave

Dave, I really liked the very talented and very beautiful Teri Copley's performances in "We Got It Made" and I liked the show AND the theme song. The theme song was just meant to be an amusing little intro ditty and I think it served the purpose perfectly. I videotaped each episode as well as the "I Married a Centerfold" TV movie. I wish I had known of "The Star Maker" with Teri and Rock Hudson at the earlier time. I was surprised your great feature did not include mention of Teri's three pinup posters. I bought them all, a couple of extras and smaller versions too and I still have them up. I was disappointed when she was in Playboy because Playboy in general is too explicit for my comfort. I scoured tabloids to buy any of them with any mention or image of her even though I though tabloids in general were disrespectful to others. I am only now discovering this video so I am too late for when Teri checked all your comments a month ago; I hope she'll come back to read this and any other newer comments. I am very glad she is satisfied with her spirituality. Personally I am not religious and I've been rejected by others because of that, even though I believe in "do unto others..." and especially after tragedy I wish more then ever to help others. I do however wish others "blessings" and I appreciate the kindheartedness that motivates people to say "God bless you" and similar. I take my veganism as seriously as others take religion. I've wondered for decades if Teri knew of my combination of thoughts and traits expressed here regarding her career and her and my beliefs, if she'd be glad / happier or somewhat disgusted / displeased or a mix. Maybe I'll never know. I wish the best for her and you!
