    We got talent. Always do. Need better, tougher, team-oriented coaches.

    “A kid like this wants to be at Ohio State.” Absolutely! This is exactly what is need moving forward. Remember, that all world kicker who ended up at Bama also wanted to be a Buckeye.

    Whats up with Ohio State loosing every damn recruiting battle to Oregon? This shits getting pathetic that we cant compete with a shoe company. We should be able to sell them on development alone but we cant because Ryan Day has screwed the culture at OSU and now none of the recruits are buying what he's selling.

      Oregon coach is that much better than Ryan Day.

    Toughness is a factor for the OSU culture. No question they have the talent, but too often they lack intensity, especially to begin games.Hopefully, they come out with fire in their eyes and ready to go at the gun against TN in what will be a cold night in the Shoe.

      You are sooooooooo wrong. It has nothing to do with toughness. This is way overused. OSU is just as tough as any other team. It’s concept. It has nothing to do with being tough. Injuries has played a key role in what has happened.

    Oregon is literally hearing Ohio states offer to players and then adds to it. It’s gross. There needs to be a cap put on players

    I hate that we have so many talented young players that 😢do not have the opportunity to develop or get playing time! Stop getting other develop talent and start developing the talented young players we have on our team. They can’t develop if they can’t play!!!!! The best way to develop depth is to play the talent, we have!

    • @craigknisley1956

      Happens in every program. Recruiting still matters a ton, but not every kid will develop. Hicks is a perfect example. 5 star talent but struggles to learn his position. Some kids can't be coached between the ears.
      The portal is a great way to assess holes in the roster. OSU does this less than many other programs. Like 6 starters compared to 15 for teams like Indiana, Colorado, etc.

      Bonsu was passed by a true freshman. 🤷 He had his chance and he wasn't excelling. Plus his mom went off about Christians on the team, and said bc her son wasn't, he wouldn't play. Not sad about that leaving the team.

    This was NOT a ‘Massive Pickup’ lol - OL Daniels played only 4 games bc of Injuries to players in front of him - @ Minnesota lol - nothing but similar average at best OL that OSU already has - OSU NEEDS legit All-Conference level OL in Portal or 2025 will be 3-4 loss Season

    Potentially 3 extra weeks for “The Brotherhood.” Goodbye, don’t let the locker room door hit you on the way out.

    Happy we got the tackle..but still crazy that a guy who started like four games at Minny is one of the top 5 tackles available. Just shows how few are to be found. QB and receivers seem to be much easier to find (for obvious reasons I suppose) Amazing that we kind of lucked out with getting McLaughlin. I think Michigan center who won the award was a transfer as well. I think it's hard to build an offensive line through the portal. I think our best 'gets' in the portal have been rather late. We'll see. Always catch the show and it's appreciated.

    Id guess if you put a bit of time into it, short notice, but you could line up a little schedule of guests for a watch party.
    Solo is good but others/shared reactions are always the best (and solo for 3 hours of a game is a lot)

    Day loses to teams with near equal talent that play TOUGH, PATIENT defense and tackle well. And then run us over and possess the ball and take time and possessions away from us.

    And let's STOP overestimating how good or how fast we are based on how we look against 75% of our league. Day beats em all, except ttun. We invite a NEW team (oregon) in and they immediately run thru the league like crap thru a goose. U shut out Iowa. A mild breeze could stop the Iowa offense.

    • @beedevil11

      Our top 5 recruiting classes are based on skill positions. We may not be a top 15 recruiting the big uglies.

    • @rickbarrett178
      @rickbarrett178 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @beedevil11 Totally agree with that. And i think it's also our infatuation with throwin it and catchin it and pass protection off linemen. Woody used to say "u can't retreat to victory". Maybe our guys could run block if we did it more often.

  • @rickbarrett178

    Keep accumulating talent. How bout we get a little TOUGHER on both sides of the ball. How bout we get some bigger RB'S that can break some tackles and consistently convert 3rd and 2, 3rd and 1. And it's still college football. Let's stick with qb's that are legit running threats and that can extend plays over strictly pocket passers.

    • @DAVYMAC
      @DAVYMAC 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Wrong about the choice of QBs. Justin Fields was a great pocket QB, yes he could run. Name a "running QB for OSU that has been better than C.J. STROUD. We currently have a " running QB " how good was Howard's accuracy against Michigan? That's why they are called "running QBs" they have trouble reading defense and ACCURATELY delivering the ball down field.

    • @rickbarrett178
      @rickbarrett178 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @DAVYMAC Strouds best games came against mich and georgia and he made some big plays with his feet to do it. He was pocket only 90% of time with us. That beat purdue every year. And he is EXCEPTIONAL. Day couldn't beat mich with a guy that made the nfl playoffs as a rookie

    • @rickbarrett178
      @rickbarrett178 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @DAVYMAC Fields is exactly the type I want. Howard can run but defenses don't have to account for him every play. He don't run much and won't go 70 yds when he does. Fields could and did

    • @DAVYMAC
      @DAVYMAC 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @rickbarrett178 Oh really? Give me Ryan Days game stats. How many tackles did Ryan Day miss? How many receivers did he miss when he threw the ball? How many field goals did kicker Ryan Day miss?

    • @DAVYMAC
      @DAVYMAC 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @rickbarrett178 Stroud in the pocket ONLY 90%? Your response made no sense. And you think we lost against Georgia because of Ryan Day? Go back and look at that game. The refs screwed us (that includes you and I, we are Buckeye fans man). I don't have a problem replacing Day as coach. At what point do the players on the field become responsible for their mistakes?
