Mid-season I was talking to my best friend about our team. Rewatched the games on TH-cam and both came to this realization. Jeremiah Smith is always open. Instead of getting the ball to our Playmakers, instead of running Ryan Day Chip Kelly's offense let's just make it player-based. We should run the throw the ball to Smith offense. He's that good. Once the defense proves they can shut him down, and start to double him we can get our playmakers involved. We have the showtime Buckeyes this year. I don't care what anyone says, we are better than Oregon and ann arbor and should've won both games.
As you don't run the ball just to run the ball, to the detriment of the team as we saw in the Michigan game. You don't throw the ball to Smith just to prove to fans and the press that your throwing the ball to him if it's not working and it's to the detriment of the team. Use all your weapons, the team has plenty of them. That's the strength of this offense.
Our O-line has been crap since Coach Stud's last two years, and hasn't improved. Against mediocre teams they look great, against good teams our record reflects our success.
If I was Ohio state coaching staff or head of Ryan day I would bring in Urban Meyer as a a analyst for the offense and defense nijhum Health game plan against these teams and then hire Nick Saban next year as Ohio State's coach
The offensive line can’t be the top concern every year, with misses on about every top recruit, and the inability to routinely get one yard for like four years now and then say Justin Frye isn’t responsible for that because two guys that transferred in panned out.
100% disagree about Frye whats he done? You'll get your answer Dec 21st one way or the other if Tenn overwhelms this OL you'll know what to do hopefully. If not great.
I still don't how that hit on Howard wasn't and still isn't being talked about. I was under the impression that any contact to the head or neck area, especially on a QB is a penalty. How was that hit not penalized? I said ot during the game that he probably played the rest of that game with a concussion. Can you imagine how many flags would've been thrown if that hit was on Mahomes?
9:11 like Birm said, who cares. I think one of the problems is Ryan Day (and therefore likely the players also) pay too much attention to what the media says and thinks. Such a waste of time and energy.
At this point bill may need his own show. He keeps it real. Frye is not good. Day is not good. Just admit it. And say it out loud. It’s ok to say people suck at their jobs. Which they do….
Thank God for Bill Landis keeping it real about Frye. I have NO idea what Austin is seeing as to Frye and his failures. Maybe too obvious. Austin Ward lost what little credibility he had for sure
I think what I enjoyed most about the Michigan-OSU game this year, was what it means for Michigan’s future. This is likely the worst team you’ll see under Sherrone Moore. Future games will likely be more competitive from a roster perspective. The next several games I bet will be ultra competitive and fun. Looking forward to the next one!
It never fails with Austin McCord…. The QB’s that he likes, he’ll never hold them accountable. Lol so it’s not Wills fault for his poor play against Michigan? It’s the coaches for calling the passing plays? Nahh you gotta blame Will. If he wants to play warrior and go back in the game then tell the truth about his play no matter what
I think Tennessee is going to end Ryan Day’s Ohio State Coaching career. He’ll go back to being a QB Coach, which is the only thing he excels at. Tennessee DL will control the line of scrimmage and force Ohio State to play in a short field without the counter of a good TE, another Day shortcoming. Howard will be under intense outside pressure and will throw more picks. Running game will get stuffed. Time of Possession will be owned by Tennessee. Ohio State Defense is good but great. They have only played 1 really good offense all year and they couldn’t stop Oregon. Tennessee offense is not Oregon, but it’s good enough to control clock and make some big plays, running, WR Yacs, and long ball too. Tennessee 31-10 in blowout.
Are the blocking techniques and schemes practical for fielding a dominate position group, or are they only practical for those few in that position group who might make it at the next level?
The fact that the two players you guys are pointing to as success stories are two transfers illustrates Fyre's failures. You are also advocating for bringing in three transfer linemen, which shows a developmental failure. He has been a failure thus far in his tenure in Columbus.
This is insane !!!! Justin Frye recruiting has be awful!!!! The talent he has in the room is slowly developing the best olineman we had was transfers are you kidding with the just Justin Frye praise
Good to see the delusion has set back into the minds of buckeye fans. Go ahead and believe your team can become harder than 4-ply Charmin before the playoffs. See you in Ann Arbor next year! Go Blue! 💙💛
It doesn’t take 3to4 years to develop offensive linemen if that was the case the Buckeyes should have a great offensive lineman Austin is yes man like fry is Ryan day is to stupid to see it and I have been a Bucks fan since 1968
What are the characteristics of a dominate championship O line? Regardless of the talent recruited, their PFF scores, and players sent into the league, we have not come close to fielding a team with those characteristics since 2014. Why? To me you just need to watch the video of our guys standing-up and trying to engage in pathetic 3 second Greco-Roman wrestling matches that consistently allows penetration into the backfield and the play ending with the LOS on our side of the ball. Urban Meyer pointed this out the ending location of the LOS over at BTN. Just slow down the video replay, watch what our guys do on the snap of the ball. Note where their pad level is in relation to the defenders, how quickly our guys surrender leverage and give ground, and end-up just trying to shield the defender from the running lane. How is this anything but evidence of coaching incompetence? What techniques are being taught? Are the blocking techniques and schemes practical for fielding a dominate position group, or are they only practical for those few in that position group who might make it at the next level?
Day has lost the team. It’s possible he proves it wrong but history shows different. If it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck, walks like a duck… It’s a duck. Other words, he has shown to panic so he will probably panic
Ohio State in my opinion is an elite program blue chip, but the trending of the program is going down Ryan Day is just not the coach for the job. He has had opportunity after opportunity with talented rosters and comes up short every single time the program as a whole is so scared to start freshman that they would die on their own sword to try to prove a point they left burk out there for most of the season just to get burnt time after time will howard is also not the quarterback to try to win it all he makes too many bonehead decisions and can’t throw the ball pass 40 yards without it being short Ohio State has to run through a gauntlet and w this Qb and head coach I don’t see them winning. also, their kicker is mediocre at best won’t be surprised if they lose to Tennessee at home teams are not scared to play at Columbus, especially when the fans start booing their own team, which has become a thing w Ohio state.
Yeah the program Top five recruitment top teams year after year. Play off 4-6 years. Urban could say that but go ahead fire this coach and blow up the program

Bill keeps the real on the rise. He ain’t willing to go blind to hide his tears.
birm. this is The Ohio State University...not bad is not good enough!
Josh Simmons was a 4 - star out of high school and Seth was a two-year starter at Alabama.
He was a 3 star out of high school and a 4 star transfer portal wise.

Austin proving he knows nothing about football yet again.
Thank you. Does no research. Doesn't watch film. Just a fan of the players.
Wrong! 2025, 8-4
@ As long as Ryan Day and OSU fandom are 1-5 vs Michigan by the end of the season, I might be willing to accept that 😀
Our tackles have been playing well?? Don't know what video replay Birm has been watching.
Prediction: Will Howard throws a pick six and fumbles. Fielding misses at least two chip shot field goals. Tennessee 31 OSU 17
Ohio line play will be the cause of an early exit. Needing 5 OLinemen out of the Portal is crazy. Please keep Day & Frye!! 😂 #hail〽️
Are the blocking techniques and schemes practical for fielding a dominate position group, or are they only practical for those few in that position group who might make it at the next level?
Would not have mattered if Howard would have gotten down in time. We would have missed the FG anyway.
Tennessee actually has a pretty decent defensive front. I doubt Day is going to make the same mistake.
😂😂😂 I have no faith in day, at this point they may just double down
He CANT RECRUIT IF HIS NAME WAS LARRY JOHNSON THEN YOUR TAKE WOULD BE OPPOSITE
The fact that the two players you guys are pointing to as success stories are two transfers illustrates Fyre's failures. You are also advocating for bringing in three transfer linemen, which shows a developmental failure. He has been a failure thus far in his tenure in Columbus.
Ohio State needs a special teams coach.
LOLOLOL Ohio State returned their first Punt for a TD in a decade
This is insane !!!! Justin Frye recruiting has be awful!!!! The talent he has in the room is slowly developing the best olineman we had was transfers are you kidding with the just Justin Frye praise
Good to see the delusion has set back into the minds of buckeye fans. Go ahead and believe your team can become harder than 4-ply Charmin before the playoffs. See you in Ann Arbor next year! Go Blue! 💙💛
It doesn’t take 3to4 years to develop offensive linemen if that was the case the Buckeyes should have a great offensive lineman Austin is yes man like fry is Ryan day is to stupid to see it and I have been a Bucks fan since 1968
Ryan day has not learned anything he will still try to run the ball which will cause the bucks to lose
Everyone knows so much about everything in the comments. Makes me wonder why the OSU athletic department doesn't come here for answers.
3 huge injuries. What do you want
I think it’s Cory Dennis and Parker Fleming fault. Oh wait…….
Cam Coleman is not in the transfer portal
ZERO TRUST IN WILL HOWARD. Less than zero with Fielding and Chip Kelly
Who is Fielding?
FOOL
He walked in and started because there was no quality behind him…… every outside source can see this!!!! Was Stud better than him at recruiting??????
Fire day fire Frye
Go Vols

You guys are SERIOUSLY trying to give frye credit for the development of a redshirt senior. Give me a break
Austin always talks about players being healthy every player that’s plays regularly this time of year is not 100% healthy on any team.
Day has lost the team. It’s possible he proves it wrong but history shows different. If it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck, walks like a duck… It’s a duck. Other words, he has shown to panic so he will probably panic
👀🚽
Ryan day isn’t getting fired so stop
Well if everyone gets there way he will be gone with the rest of the staff when you guys get their wish and fire day over losing 2 games this year.
Awesome as always thanks guys go bucks ❤
Yeah the program
Top five recruitment top teams year after year. Play off 4-6 years. Urban could say that but go ahead fire this coach and blow up the program

Does Jeremiah Smith have to try to catch everything with 1 hand?
It’s a combination of him just being that good and will Howard can’t throw the ball down the field properly so it causes him to make wild catches. If fields or Stroud or Haskins was the QB jj would have a field day, but will can’t throw the freaking ball down field to save his life.
@@redx9656 No, he definitely has tried to play to the camera by going for catches with one hand when he didn't have to.
Thompson is not signing up to play for Justin Frye ! He's coming to play 4 OSU
@@projectguy1no he hasn’t I watched every single play this year from OSU if he has any one-handed catches it’s because he’s confident in himself he can do it or will Howard accuracy just isn’t there. During the MSU game will literally threw into double coverage and JJ just went up and made a wild catch with one hand that’s not on JJ that on will because nobody’s gonna say shit when he does make those one-handed catches.
2 Superstars Caleb Downs & Jeremiah Smith.
For $20 Million that’s it.
11 Draft Picks no 1st Round Picks, maybe 2 2nd Rounders, and mostly 3rd Day Draft Picks.
DL: 2 2nd & 2 3rd Day Draft Picks
LB: 1 3rd Day
DB: 2 3rd Day
OL: 2 2nd Day and 1 3rd Day
WR: 1 2nd Day
RB: 1 2nd and 1 3rd Day
Just today, I think it was 24-7 who downgraded Ohio State draft prospects, to zero 1st rounders.
Hey Bill, I totally agree with you on Frye. Your friends are in the bag for Day, who hired his best buddy Frye....
BillBert went in on Justin Frye lol😂
This got boring quick.
If Judkins or Henderson were running behind any other OL, there would be heisman talks. The OL is miserable
If Day is still coach BOYCOTT.
That not how College Football works. 😂
People like you simply don’t know football, 10+ wins is great, Yea the standard at OSU is higher than that, But he’s in the playoffs, And simply look at it like this, Change a field goal, He wins the natty simple as that, Think about if the 7 starters weren’t sick of covid in 2020 he could have a natty, He’s a great coach, However many things stack against him, Missed field goals, Interceptions and such isn’t really his fault. Please learn football.
@James_Vocals I know that a hot goalie can make up for many defencive mishaps, bat a true star can still dominate😉
@Andy-AJC72 $$$$ are what really matter to those in charge, therefore if profit is reduced change is likely. That's how business works, and division 1 hws devolved into chasing $$$$
How about you LEAVE 🤬
The game plan (had to be Ryan Day) should result in termination. We are definitely lucky that Mr Smith probably won’t bite on these many million dollar offers.
Ohio state may need The Jumbo Package to both Run the ball and Pass the ball.
Our Jumbo O-line should be=> DJ, CH, JP, AS, JF & LM……
Utilize Sayin to stretch the field Vertically…..and have this game won by halftime…….
oh man, you applied for any jobs yet? LOL
Devin Brown won’t appear in playoffs. Right? He has moved on to the portal so like McCord last year, he is done.
Trash over rated team 😂
OSU fans are the worse. 1 game lost does not make a bad team or bad coach. People need to move on with Michigan game. We have a chance to something really good here and win the Natty. Day is still one of the best coaches in the country . Need to win the next game and go from there.
It's not just one game tho. It's 4 years in a row and you let a horrible Michigan team come into your house and whip you. Not to mention Ryan Days record against top 5 teams is putrid. I appreciate your optimism but what in Ryan Days tenure makes you believe this team will be ready to do something special?
Ohio State fan base is scared. Meanwhile, Tennessee fans are expecting a double-digit win.👀
