I honestly sometimes get U2 and Linkin Park mixed up because of how similar their songs sound. I have to fix my brain and remember which is which. This mashup proves how similar but talented they are. I love LP and U2 is a great band also. It would've been awesome to see them collab on a song together since they definitely have a lot of rhythmic harmony.
Dark Child I'm right there with you! I've been a fan of U2 since their hit "I Will Follow". Same with Linkin Park with "Crawling". I've seen Linkin Park and U2 a few times. Both groups are amazing to see live.

The way Linkin Park sings is same as the way U2 sings. The main difference is that u2 is Irish and Linkin Park is American and that U2 is older than Linkin Park.
Actually I think the sequencing is much better on this version than your other one. This one builds gradually in waves, that then crash off and against each other. Your other mashup starts strong and then just keeps the same intensity throughout.

I'm thinking of using the tom-toms for a different arrangement because I didn't like this arrangement, reminded me a little of Prime 2, and Dynasty Warriors, and Virtua Fighter, and Tekken, and Mortal Kombat, etc.

To me... shadow of the day has been written as some kind of tribute. not to U2 but to one of the greatest songs on earth, even if written by U2.
