I am so happy to find your channel…I love coloring with pencil, but I’m obsessed with learning to color with markers, water based and alcohol based. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.💖
Thanks for watching! I plan to do more videos showing markers and how I colour other artists work as I go along…I hope you find them useful and become more comfortable using markers too - it just opens up more options and can be useful for faster colouring when you need a break from pencils 👍
Oh man. I appreciate your videos. I don’t want to come across as pushy, or needy. But I do appreciate your knowledge and sharing your wonderful skills! Thanks for being so wonderful❤!
Beautiful!! Thankyou soooo much for making these videos. I’m going to have to re invest in some markers!!! So many great tips you’ve shared with us again ❤❤❤
A terrific video that had somehow slipped by me before now. My fave part of this one is the reflection in the pond, ntho Mr Fogarty 's jacket runs a close second. Thanks so much for taking the time to show and explain things so clearly. I can feel an RJ colouring session coming on......
Thanks for explaining how to use markers - I have struggled using them. Your picture looks beautiful. I am a new subscriber, and I am slowly watching your other videos. Just finished watching your completed pictures - they are fantastic, thanks for sharing and looking forward to more videos. Thea
We almost have the same way of coloring! If I could just get away with my Ohuhu markers, that's it for me. Thanks for the blender technique, because I barely touch my blenders. I honestly don't know what to do with them 😂
Yes! I like any sort of markers for what they are, so I try to use pencils for “correction” or enhancement - I don’t want to base a page and then fully cover it 😉 I also like the thought of embracing one medium for what it is, and I am lazy 😁 Thanks for watching!
Beautiful completed page. Really enjoyed watching you colour. I heard years ago if ya alcohol marker is running low, remove both caps whilst using and it helps lol not a clue why or how but maybe try it until ya deffo need to replace. I have Spectrum Noir whole set from years ago in my card making day n couldn’t get the hang of them. I now have a few of the Tri-Noir Markers where’s there’s 3 colours in 1 pen, so I’m gonna have ago sometime n carry on watching n learning techniques - thanks again fantastic video - keep them coming xxx Ness
I haven’t heard that tip 😊 I do add a few drops of alcohol to extend the life of the marker a bit sometimes (and water for water based markers). I thought I might make a note of the colours I use most frequently and looking into buying refillable markers - because often with big sets there are some I use almost every time and some I never touch. It might end up being a more economical approach to just spend money on colours I enjoy. I’m so glad to hear you are picking up some ideas to take into your own colouring ❤️
Beautiful page. I don't suppose you remember what you used for the building reflection - looks like white pen ? (Just found your channel, new subbie) Thank you for sharing 😊
I used the colourless blender to remove some colour and then very lightly added some white Prismacolor pencil ❤️ thank you for watching and subscribing!
Im loving using Alcohol markers in coloring books but am still intimidated by very lsrge bsckgrounds. How do you tackle a very large bsckground eithout getting lines from it drying too quick?
That’s a good question! It is tricky and I still get mixed results with big areas - I use the chisel tip as much as possible working in circular motions and fast. Some colours seem to work better than others and if the marker is new and “juicy” then it works better too. If I am feeling unsure about it, I will switch to a watercolour pencil for the background, or use coloured pencil over the top of patchy marker results. I hope that helps, thanks for watching and commenting 😊
