This is the best flan recipe ever!! Flan is the kind of recipe that you either hit or miss. This recipe is a hit. Most "flan" you eat around here, in America, is nasty and that's why most people don't like it here. This recipe is what you expect flan to taste like. Not nasty, flavorless jello with a hent to eggieness. It's gross. But this recipe! 😍😍😍 It's one of my favorite desserts to make. I hated flan until a Filipino friend made me some, and I was in heaven! I asked him how he made it, and this is almost exactly what he did. Same ingredients. I love it 💕 Thank you so much. Now I try to spread the love of flan here 😂 May Allah reward you for such a table treasure!

Food can be made however we like. You shouldn't be disappointed. Just add it in yourself. The amount of time you took to write this comment, you could have simply taken the vanilla extract from your cabinet and added it. It isn't VERY disappointing if you already know that's how you like it. Many have made this recipe and can't agree with you. It's subjective. Be kind. It would have been better if you said "This recipe is almost perfect for me, but I think it's even better with vanilla extract It's a very important ingredient for me." Or something like that. You take care of yourself.
This is the perfect recipe. kapag kasi na overmixed yung ingredients, magiging spongy at hindi creamy yung flan. Dapat gentle lang yung pagmix like the way she does. 👍

One thing you didn't show was how to pure the caramelized sugar into the pan but I figured it out for it to be Brown on the flan or flan cake you have to put it in the baking pan first I have to let it dried up. I'll give you 9.5 very detailed, stay simple but to the point and almost to the perfect details. Plus it's my wife favorite Flan or Flan cake. I am also going to grill out some beef lemongrass on a stix, lemongrass stake and buffalo wings. I'm one of those very few who likes their leche flan on the firmer side rather than creamy. So I like having some egg whites in. But this looks good too 😄👍
*_We use both the yolk and the white when we make our Leche Flan and the result is still perfect, everybody loves it and it has that perfect texture and softness. We just mix patiently using a mixer._* 😊
*_Yes i do have another version of this as well using both the yolk and whites... same technique and ends up great, but using the yolk only will give your flan a perfect smoothness and creaminess all the time_*
The way I cook my leche flan is similar to yours except for two things, I do 3 whole eggs and 7 yolks and second I use lemon rind instead of lemon juice. I also tried including vanilla, but never liked the combination. So I just stick to lemon. There’s fresh aftertaste that I really like. I’m trying now your version of lemon juice 😊

I make it with 3 whole eggs, and it can be made with only 2 whole eggs, everything else is the same. Comes out perfect every time.

she used the yolks to get a dense and smooth leche flan. you can always add the whites but the texture would be a bit different
