wow this is awesome i can't stop listening. best night of my life was seeing them live. i even met jeff but was so star struck i completely forgot a picture. but in retrospect i think he would've liked not getting a pic haha.
Well now first of all We became what we always had feared Every engine holds All their oils on fire appeared They finally broke through And on your shoulder This weight has been placed upon you And everything we ever were But, now I'm keeping still In someone's bright carnival ride And all the crowd just cheers As the bolts break and metal collides Spiraling through And flying up over the hills And now everything's broken in two And everything we ever were But now most of all I am holding you under my skin Watch these buildings fall Watch as each weak resistance caves in All over you all implode And now finally fading from view
This is cool but the mixing is off. Your addition sounds great but is just too loud and overpowering compared to the song. If you toned it down a bit it'd be perfect.
I get your point but I'd have to disagree. The overpowering and the way everything just kinda gets fuzzed out really fits the NHM spirit more than if it was cleaned up. It's meant to be just a little shitty in the production area, that's part of the point.
Chris Greene Right I totally understand that but I don't feel like this is the same thing. They had that sound but it was a limitation they worked with and used to their advantage. Again the instrumentation here sounds good but it just feels like poor mixing to me.
+Vincent Ruzzi As he said, he based it on bootlegs etc. and it wouldn't be a faithful recreation of those sounds without this kind of mix, the live version does just kind of.... Sound like that.
@@samshepherd854 The levels are off. You can tell if you're in a car listening to it. I like the overwhelming boost but in a car the bass hits a little too much and it's a little more obvious than is totally comfortable. I'm not complaining though as this is the only version available online that's clear on phone speakers and others and I am more than grateful someone took the time to clean it up.
2-3 years since i first found this video and its hands down my favorite nmh piece to listen to. absolute perfection
Same. I think the visuals set the mood, too.
Perfect in every way. Jeff would be proud

He probably would’ve drawn you something instead tho :’)
It literally stopped me from talking and I was in awe lol great song love it
Sounds great. I love the live version of the song so to have a studio version that's closer to it is pretty awesome.
The way it hits nearly stunned me because it sounded so beautiful
this changed my life
Well now first of all
We became what we always had feared
Every engine holds
All their oils on fire appeared
They finally broke through
And on your shoulder
This weight has been placed upon you
And everything we ever were
But, now I'm keeping still
In someone's bright carnival ride
And all the crowd just cheers
As the bolts break and metal collides
Spiraling through
And flying up over the hills
And now everything's broken in two
And everything we ever were
But now most of all
I am holding you under my skin
Watch these buildings fall
Watch as each weak resistance caves in
All over you all implode
And now finally fading from view
The definitve version of this song, no doubt about it.

I think there is a free graphic equalizer (ancient audio device) for windows available!
