Hi all, this is Dustin Vuong Nguyen, the English voice of Zhou Yu and Xiahou Yuan in DW: Origins! So excited to see the hype surrounding the game. See you on the battlefields in January!
I love your doing the rounds seeing people's reactions, as a life long fan of the series I can safely say this will be the best one yet and thank you on behalf of the community for your contribution to the making of this game
I'm a DW fan, playing since DW 3. I absolutely agree that this will be the best DW game of all time. It has massive overhaul but still embodies the good old mowing down thousands of enemies
These games were the embodiment of "no thoughts, head empty, mash square." They were never great, but they did good at what they were meant to do. The more recent spinoff games were usually a lot better than the primary Dynasty and Samurai Warriors games lately, but I haven't been this happy enjoying a Warriors game in a very long time. Loving this generation of action games.
I think the 1V1 fighting. It's funny that they're saying it's new. There's literally dueling in older dynasty warriors. Well, you can get 1 on 1 crazy fights, but I don't think every single character is going to be as fun to fight like Lu BU because he naturally has wild attack patterns. And other characters are a lot more straightforward.
For me musous are at their best when there's a lot of things going on in the battlefield for you to manage, some games like DW8 doesn't get more complicated than just running from point A to point B mashing square at everything that appears in front of you which is kind of a waste of their massive maps, while others like Hyrule Warriors have you going everywhere defending and capturing bases, dealing with enemy reinforcements, fighting against special squads, snuffing out turncoats, feeding the fucking chickens otherwise they'll fuck you up, it made a game with a very simple combat system enjoyable to play aside from mowing down an army with over the top attacks, i'm very glad to see that Origins is bringing back that kind of battlefield management, i hoping the enemy does some relentless assaults in later stages.
As an absolute fan of the Dynasty Warriors series i absolutely LOVE what they did with the new entry, just played once but damn the game feel super good ! A mix between old combat system and new one, duels are cool, overall flow of the battlefield is super good aswell you really feel like you are a part of the battle and not 1v1000 like old games (especially 8). I can't wait for the release. Im so happy they didnt messed up on this one thank you KoeiTecmo 👍🏻.
I do feel that this is them going back to the days of DW4 and 5 coz ive been noticing mechanics from both those games in this such as rage arts and squad commands. Koei are finally starting to learn and understand what us fans want in a Warriors game!
There's something about this game that scratches the itch that DW5 did for me back in the day. The enemy step skill alone convinced me to add this to my list.
Max mentioned an LOTR styled Warriors game. I'd be down for that but only if they can do stuff beyond the battles we see in LOTR. Hobbit and other adaptations. Which likely means a no-go because of Silmarillion copyright issues.
This game has light Wo Long elements. It isn't as "Souls-like" as Wo Long, but it is like a mix of Dynasty Warriors and a few of those elements. And the battlefield and large scale army presentation of this game is TOP NOTCH. This is probably the best Dynasty Warriors game ever in terms of feeling like you are on a battlefield with commanding troops and such.
Something I like about this is the bodyguards are back. Even as a jobber but the command make them useful again in a version where Generals have insane attack. And the fight against boss is better now instead just keep juggle them and not let them have a chance to fight back.
@@kazamastylebatsurealmofbea6269 I haven't played the demo yet, but this is the battle of Hu Lao Gate, right? In pretty much every earlier DW game, Lu Bu is intentionally buffed to insane levels in this battle with things like permanent hyper armor and insane damage boosts. You're probably not _supposed_ to beat him, but in the past, doing so has involved just kiting him at red health and super move spamming until you eventually chip his health away.
Bro, i went back to DW8 after playing this….. Origins is just 10x better combat wise. The only downside is how u can only play as one character pretty much. Other than that, the game is really good.
You guys talk wayy toooo much during the intro..........pause the game....its fine people watch to see your reaction to the game not 3/4 convos going on at once

According to the demo it may be the best DW game ever
Maybe one of the best but definitely not the best
This ain't as good as any of the ps2 games, but it sure beats 6, 7, and 9. It's about the same as 8.
@@BobDylan-ho2gddo you play the demo?
Yeah, but the rawness of the ps2 era is still the best, but Im very excited for the game .
@@BobDylan-ho2gd you havent.

I want this game. Mostly cause I'm a huge Dynasty Warriors fan since the OG title for the PS1 that was a fighting game and not a hack-and-slash.

yeah duel is cool now everyone surround to cheer up their side like in some ROTK games. I always feel duel in a cage is strange.

I love how much Steve loves multiplayer
Co op would definitely be perfect for this type of game.. guaranteed day one..

That Sega gameplay feel making a comeback
This game would be a day 1 buy for me if he had character creation/customization.
Ye if this was an Empires game, I'd actually be excited.
But usually an Empires games comes out right after a mainline game.
So hears hoping.
First time in a long time I'm looking forward to a main line Dynasty Warriors game and not just the Empires series
So hyped for this massive DW fan this is really well done.
Thing is in my head the dream DW game has not become a reality, i would love stages where events would change depending on how well you did
This Demo impressed me for sure.
7:18😂thats me right there
Very interested in DW Origins..my bro used to play the hell out of this series, and this one seems fresh and modern.
DW3 extreme legends was peak when it introduced local multiplayer, then it became redundant then on. Im excited for the direction this one is taking.
This actually looks super cool
So technically....everything is parriable....

I like the game but I can't beat lu bu😔
Man Lu Bu whooped my ass
If it's any consolation, you are far from the first person that's happened to.
Yea I'm having a hard time trying to beat him

@@lilwyvern4 yea I know that I lost four times almost had him and jumped off.
Lu Bu in next vid🤓
Love videos
Ppl hv beaten him but you need to practice a lot
We must retake China again but from the beginning! Seriously, how many dynasty warriors games and spin-offs have there been?

Calling him Cow Cow...just wow
TsaoTsao
Ma cow is a fearsome warrior of the three kingdoms
To be fair, the older games called him that too lol

Dw always sucked
