I'm curious ab something.. what does "Left open drums" mean?? (I'm not a drummer haha)

I play drums left handed, but instead of crossing my arms over, I use my left hand to play the high-hat and my right hand to play the snare. This is what is called open-handed drumming, and is often used by left handed drummers.
