This is true, we just rescued an OEB and I she is the sweetest, nicest dog. Would do anything for the family and has never met anyone she doesn’t like. This is the only bulldog breed I would get from here on out.

These oldes are so cool. We have our third one now. He was a rescue. He is such a big sweetie. Our other two were very good also. Missed very much. These dogs have such great personalities. If you are looking for a great pet. Get an olde in your life.
Thank you for producing a video on one of the best yet least known breeds. We have an 8-month-old OEB. Our first dog was part EB and OEB. He had the common health issues associated with EB's: Torn ACL's, food allergies, bladder stones, heat sensitivity, etc. If you love EB's but want a healthier version, I highly recommend getting an OEB. They are incredibly loving and loyal...like a big teddy bear! They enjoy 20-30 minutes of play time followed by some cuddles on the couch and a nap. They are very strong and powerful; however, with proper training and a good chest hook harness, they are easier to handle when young. They are very sensitive in nature and have a strong desire to please their master, but still have the typical stubborn bully streak. A good diet is essential to keep them looking and feeling their best. Be prepared to get a ton of compliments and lots of questions as to what breed they are.
Thanks for the info. we had an EB in the past, he was our baby boy and we loved him dearly, shortly after turning 4 he passed away unexpectedly, the vet said he had heart problems, after 4 years we are thinking to get an OEB which seems to be a healthier than EB. I still have concerns and questions as l never been familiar to this breed, my concern and first and foremost question would be if they are naturally friendly to people? Lotso our EB was incredibly loving and friendly towards people. l wonder if this trait applies to the OEB as well. Thanks in advance.
@ladymariehellenafleurs-ram626 I'm so sorry for your loss ❤️. My EB/OEB passed of heart problems. It was two years later that we got our next baby boy. Our OEB is very friendly by nature. We did socialize him when he was little (lots of trips to the park, doggie events, anywhere we could bring him to interact with both people and animals). He's naturally very affectionate and eager to please. He's on my lap now, snoring as I write this. If you like the characteristics of an EB, you'll find many similar traits in an OEB.
Just to say to Todd and Darcy: It's awesome to see such conscientious and responsible dog owners. Bodi and June are lucky to have you guys, keep up the good work.

+johnny g Mine is an outstanding family dog, he's very smart and stable, very affectionate, loves nothing more than staying close to us no matter what we are doing. He's still young at 2 years and 8 months old tho. I have had a Rottweiler, Husky, English Cocker Spaniel, Beagles and AmStaffs and of all the dogs I had he has the best temperament as a family dog followed closely by the AmStaffs. As for guarding he has never displayed any sign of aggression and I never really had a situation where he would need to protect us, he hardly ever barks. He's brother and sister belong to a friend of mine and they do well with guarding while still having the same temperament as a family dog, so I think it will mostly depend on how they are raised. Corrado VRz Oh wow thanks for your lovely advice. Sounds like a wonderful dog! I wish u the absolutely best with the pets! I lost my English bull terrier/ staffie cross exactly a year ago. He lived to around 17 yrs & 8 months. Absolutely heart breaking but time does heal the heart. But my next dog, it would have to be both family/ and guard dog. How was your Rotti? My friend just lost his after 13yrs. Thanks

If I wasn't home he was much more protective of my wife. He was absolutely FANTASTIC with kids of all sizes. If he was at the front window and saw kids walking by or someone with a stroller, he would cry because he wanted to visit. He pretty much ruined me for any other dog. This breed IMO is an excellent family dog.
Great video Zeke. This "Living with" series is so informative. Can't wait to see some Bull Terrier ones or even a family living with XL or Pocket bullies.

So glad you came up on my feed. I've got quite a few friends, who love, and several who own the more common English Bulldogs. Myself, I've been bitten/smitten by the bully breeds a long time now.(APBTs are my weakness) Anyway I have been aware of the responsible owners/breeders programmes. I can remember as far back as 1985 or around, things were taking shape with this great old/olde, or in my own Scottish tongue 'auld breed of dug!'. Back then, it was still a lot of talk with the odd glimpse of one, now and then[if you were lucky] I'm beginning to see more of these, and in several different colour types. I've tried to talk to some, about going for the more healthy, and around sounder looking Olde English Bulldogge. I know the work that went into the healthier bloodlines. Very informatable and honest.Ive had boxers over 40 yrs, and haven't regretted any boxers that I've owned Have had from 2 to 4 at a time, all except 1 have been fixed males with no fights.House was a cape cod, and my two kids had rules, basically to treat them as family.Dogs were always socially introduced to any situation that I could think of I hope and pray that we meet again!!! Awesome video Zeke! That was a very accurate and knowledgeable description of the Olde from a unique perspective. The 2 people who currently disliked the video are insane. Keep doing your thing Bruh! #LLNP
I had already settled on getting the old bulldogee or old tyme bulldog after reading a lot about the health issues new English bulldogs have. You just confirmed that this is absolutely the perfect dog for me! I smiled all the way through your story, so thank you :)
We have an Old English Bulldog. He can be stubborn and he pouts like a kid. He is a member of our family and he always wants to be touching one of us. I've had an English Bulldog and his breathing problems led to an early demise. Our Old English Bulldog breaths much better.
We unknowingly adopted an olde English bulldog a couple weeks ago. Wife and I fell in love with his eyes and lovable appearance. Thanks for the video! Helped me understand what temperament the breed has!
Brought home a 7 week olde english bulldog this month. Shes currently around 10 weeks and has bursts of energy like you said 😂 shes either running around like crazy or sleeping lmfao
I have OEB's and Dogue De Bordeauxs. My OEB is a Hermes dog and he is tough as nails. Heat doesn't bother him, cold doesn't bother him and he can eat anything. My DDB's don't take the heat near as well and food allergies made us go with a raw diet which h was wonderful. The OEB has the more personality than any dog I have ever had.
Thank you so much. This video answered a lot of questions I had. I jus came across a guy that’s selling one. The last one. At a really affordable price. So I e been doing my research all day because I told him I would let him know by tomorrow. And yeah, after watching this video, I’m definitely going to get him.
Where did you get your two olde English bulldogs ..they are some ofbthe best examples ive seen I have an ole English mix and I want to get him a friend I would love to get one from the same place as you did .thank Shane s.
So thrilled to see a documentary on Olde English Bulldogge at last. Currently all sorts of dogs being sold as Olde English Bulldoggee in UK. And even these mixed breeds are very expensive. The nearest is the Dorset Old Timer...I have a very handsome male in english mastiff colours and a chocolate tan & white-an old timer sold as olde english bulldoggee at 8 weeks. Temperament is gentle giant personality affectionate loving sense of humour. they have no idea of their strength or weight, interesting when they insist on being lapdogs! They need training being exuberant dogs with large friendly personalitites. These bulldoggees orginated from Levitts breeding programme versatile couch potato or champion racing dogs lovely with children and elderly good guard dogs. These dogs make a massive positive difference to your life. So glad I have Venus & Mars and that you have produced this documentary:)
Dolly my old tyme bulldog goes in her crate at night @i dont even close the door she sleeps the whole night like that ...but as you said its always been a posative space,,,,, we love her tooooo much ♡♡♡
I, absolutely love the old English Bulldog. I have had an English Bulldog before, though I loved my English. Unfortunately the breed has been bread down so much that the English Bulldog has a long list of life concerns. I now own an old English now and he is amazing in every aspect. All the benefits of the Bulldog bread with very little or any other concerns. My boy Blue is the absolute best dog I have ever owned. He is amazing with my children and family. He is without question an adopted son to my family.
Here's mine, Angus: Just turned 8, 104 lbs. Incredibly fit/strong -taller than most. Active 60% of the time. Snores like a drunk sailor. Throws fits/pouts (through himself down in front of the frig and cries and yelps like the world is ending). Will stand and stare endlessly at the pantry where his treats are at. Attempts to bury treats in the middle of the living room with nothing to cover them up with. Pouts and yelps when his blanket is not on his bed correctly. Takes off running on you when you open the door after he scratches to come in. Has problems turning when he's running a full speed. The rollover trick, Hit's the floor with a thud but can only get half way over. Loves the water but sinks to the bottom of the lake when trying to swim. (wears a life jacket from Cabela's) Loves kids and is scarred to death of cats. Has to be where we're at! He doesn't understand he's too big to sit on my lap. Likes beer. He's just a funny creepy guy! THE BEST FRIEND WE'VE EVER HAD!
They have so much energy. They don't understand personal space. They think they're a lap dog, and they love to talk. My folks have one. He is the biggest baby in the world. LOL
It’s an amazing breed. I had one for almost 13 years and he was my best friend.
how did u get it
John had a neighbor who didn’t want him so I took him in
John here’s a tribute I made for him. Great dog. th-cam.com/video/Er4bqjtQJKs/w-d-xo.html

My Olde English is 11, lazy lazy lazy, timid, stubborn lol white with black spots - his name is Rocco and he made me get over my fear of dogs
Dynamic dogs and a healthy bull breed, some in the UK live well to 16-17! Well done on the video!
Such a great looking breed!
Best dog channel on TH-cam 👍
We have an Old English Bulldog. He can be stubborn and he pouts like a kid. He is a member of our family and he always wants to be touching one of us. I've had an English Bulldog and his breathing problems led to an early demise. Our Old English Bulldog breaths much better.
Yes!! Mine always has to be rubbing up on me, or wants to sit on my feet. Always wants contact. Big Baby 🐶
Is she barking or more of a growl/bark??
I have one and she is super sweet and a lap dog but still loves a game of tug of war. This is how the Bulldog should look. They are great dogs. 🐕❤️🐕
We unknowingly adopted an olde English bulldog a couple weeks ago.
Wife and I fell in love with his eyes and lovable appearance.
Thanks for the video!
Helped me understand what temperament the breed has!
These people are so nice.
ANOTHER great video Dogumentary TV!
We have a 7 month old OEB, can definitely relate to the random 20 min spurts of energy lol

*"THE BEST"* breed TV channel .... Ok I'll take it for it's words
Brought home a 7 week olde english bulldog this month. Shes currently around 10 weeks and has bursts of energy like you said 😂 shes either running around like crazy or sleeping lmfao
So happy with this breed the best!!
they are Absolutely beautiful bullys ever
I have OEB's and Dogue De Bordeauxs. My OEB is a Hermes dog and he is tough as nails. Heat doesn't bother him, cold doesn't bother him and he can eat anything. My DDB's don't take the heat near as well and food allergies made us go with a raw diet which h was wonderful. The OEB has the more personality than any dog I have ever had.
Turbo Chevelle -- who is "Hermes?". Would these OEB breed be good for service/therapy? 😊
@@helenhamblin1468 Hermes is a type of athletic bulldogs like these but are a lot bigger
I love my OEB. Max is amazing.
I cant wait to get me one of this AMAZING BREEDS!!😍😍
All I can say hands on I have had 10 plus needs is the Dogo !!
Very good video, I love my olde English bulldog
Thank you so much. This video answered a lot of questions I had. I jus came across a guy that’s selling one. The last one. At a really affordable price. So I e been doing my research all day because I told him I would let him know by tomorrow. And yeah, after watching this video, I’m definitely going to get him.
Where did you get your two olde English bulldogs ..they are some ofbthe best examples ive seen I have an ole English mix and I want to get him a friend I would love to get one from the same place as you did .thank Shane s.
There lovely gentle dogs
Your Bodie looks like our Gunner!
Great looking dogs!
TY for the video, We have just got our 1st OEB I am looking for all the info I can find to aide in raising a healthy happy furry family member !!
Magnificent looking breed of dog

I love those names... June and Bodie
Thank you for this video! super cool.
All facts! Love my OEB
True I have an olde English bulldog and I love her so much. She is my first dog
Here's mine, Angus:
Just turned 8, 104 lbs.
(wears a life jacket from Cabela's)
Loves kids and is scarred to death of cats.
Has to be where we're at! He doesn't understand he's too big to sit on my lap.
Likes beer.
He's just a funny creepy guy!
THE BEST FRIEND WE'VE EVER HAD!
Amen! Sounds a lot like my Tiger. So cute!
This is a great video, thanks for helping me make my decision
Gorgeous!! So many wonderful breeds. I have a list of the ones I want one day.
We have one and she's the love of our lives.
Terry AH would love to see some pics!
A very strong dog.
Keep up the good work Zeek
I have an Olde English bulldog myself, his name is Maximums and is my little 78lb baby boy! Lol great breed
Smart couple
They have so much energy. They don't understand personal space. They think they're a lap dog, and they love to talk. My folks have one. He is the biggest baby in the world. LOL
