Nicole and her dogs Jax and Bear (RIP) have an amazingly heartwarming and inspirational story. Nicole suffers from the disabling condition called, fibromyalgia. And with the help of modern medicine and the love of her family, including her dogs, Nicole is thriving. Like many dog breeds Bullmastiffs are an emotionally supportive dogs, that goes beyond their working dog abilities.
You can see how proud she is of her dog(s).
Love this story! We lost our bullmastiff Samson 4 years ago. We had him since he was 9 weeks old and passed away at 9 1/2 with cancer. There is not a day that goes by that we don't think about him. He was the most lovable boy ever.
Had my Bullmastiff for 8 years and it flew bye and she was gone. You read about the life span of some breeds but it just doesn't kick in until there gone. We miss you Pebbles
@John Merchant My first Bullmastiff lived to be 13. My second one only lived to be just shy of 9. He had bone cancer and I had to have him put down.
@John Merchant I think that's rare, 7-9 seems to be the norm.
1dumpedviper it isn’t common but with a well bred bullmastiff on a raw food diet it is very possible. My bullmastiff died at 11 and it was a natural cause of death.

@@xavierp7783 I actually found a bullmastiff breeder whose been raising their dogs/puppies on a raw food diet for over 40 years. I personally can't wait. That's where I'll be going for mine.

What a heartfelt story, I have Cane Corso and they have helped me finaly grow out of poisoning myself with cigarettes, pot and alcohol.
I have had many breeds but mastiffs are just the best.
ps I think Paul Sr of OCC had english mastiffs.

@scalemaster we had a Bull Mastiff. Got her a at 8 weeks. A wonderful fur baby, we loved her so much. Got her from a breeder down here in Florida. She was the best baby. Great guard dog without ever a bark. Think she had eyes in back of her head. Lol. She was a fawn and weighed 130 pounds. We were so careful what to feed her. She was WELL cared for. We lost her just before her 8 th birthday to cancer. We've never got over her. She was our wonderful "Boo Boo". A tremendous breed. Also love the cane Corso and Dogue D Bordoux. To old to get another now, but id take 10 if I could. So sad to lose them so young. 😢😢

Beautiful dog beautiful owner. I can relate to the medical issues it's a struggle sometimes it's hard to get out of bed but that's why animals really are great therapy and great motivation. Looks like she dedicated her life to this breed well done to her.
This is a great story. God Bless this woman, with her disease she just put her head down and kept going forward. Basically, she knew nothing about dogs and the show world and she eclipsed what many "professional" handlers do. Great story, great video, and a wonderful woman. I have fibromyalgia and I don't know how I'd be without my dog, who is a Bull Mastiff x Great Dane x Rhodesian Ridgeback x Boxer. He's so gentle yet crazy funny and very cuddly. Love this story as I can relate. Thank you.

I have two Female Bullmastiffs, got them a few months after coming home from Iraq. They have saved my life!
This story really hits home. I had an american pitbull terrier, she was beautiful in great overall health. Expect she all of a sudden got sick. Her name was Jency and she was diagnosed with the same cancer a very large tumor on her heart. Within just a few days she passed away on her own. She didn't make it through the night at the hospital but she fought and knew she was leaving us and said her goodbyes to us. For a long time I didn't want to get a dog. But finally I found this american bully named in honor of jency Z. (J.Z) Jayzee. beautiful video and story. definitely heart felt.

I'm an experienced dog owner who picked up a Bullmastiff cross from a re-home scheme a couple of weeks ago. He is 17 weeks, and his dad was a St Bernard. He is a beautiful looking dog, and he knows it. He laps up every bit of attention that comes his way. A quick walk never is....

I have a disability myself and own a bullmastiff. He is absolutely fantastic, if I have a bad day he stays by my side and refuses to go outside to use the restroom and will hold it until another family member gets home to take him out.
If I fall I have a command I issue and he rushes to me to help me get up no matter what he is doing at the time or where he is. I've seen him leap over people and furniture without a second thought.
Just an amazing dog in every way.
