The stand out track on a really interesting and varied album which I listened to for the first time ever a couple of days ago. Naturally, this track is absolutely ear worming it's way around my brain for large parts of my waking hours. A charming upbeat tune with some great lyrical ideas that has lifted my spirits a dozen times or so already.

Very true.
During underrated times and judged by overated critics.

How didn’t I know that was Johnny Marr on guitar this whole album?! I even have the CD, clearly never read the insert.
I’m certainly uncertain. At least I’m pretty sure I am!
Once of the best lyricists out there...
Unequivocally. He defines S Class.
"this plane is definitely crashing!!!"
Used to love unwinding outside in the warm North Carolina evenings with a few beers and some Modest Mouse.
I'm so sad and miss being young. This music used to make me feel comfortable and now I'm just sad. Life is too hard.

Modest Mouse is one of the greatest underrated bands of our generation. I saw them open for REM, and REM should have opened for them.
They sound like REM
I saw them open for REM too and I can't disagree more. REM is 100000x better.
@@joeyjokester REM's definitely a cleaner sound but they don't have anything on MM lyrically and there's way more passion to them

As much as I like the 2nd chorus about life's end gong, these lyrics are such a profound gutpunch to human hubris, especially as the final line.
I listened to modest mouse all through high school and here I am still listening 🎶
