You can buy a piece of 1/2 " pvc and a right angle connector, cut the pipe in half long way and make a support to act like an "A" frame. You don't even have to glue it so you can take it apart and store it easily later. You can even go bigger, I use a inch and a half pvc on my to winterize. I love your smile!! 💞⛵⛵⛵
Good idea going out for dinner for a little break. Lots of nice places there in the harbor. My wife and I have a 36 mile round trip to town through the mountains and a choice of about 4 nice places for dinner.
Simething ive done is to use two thirds full old water or bleach bottles to the strings that compliment each new tarp and suspend them such that they keep the tarp taut. Another thing is alligator clip a 60 or 100 watt (old school) light bulb on in enclosed spaces. Works well on the west coast.
Tarps are impossible. When you use a bigger one, then you have to worry about water bucketing in the tarp when it rains. I'll be watching what you do. I used to put a giant tarp over our campsite when we went camping. It took over an hour to set it up. Now I use a smaller tarp to just cover the picnic table.
As much as I like seeing you sailing or at anchor, I am glad to see you at the dock getting all set up for winter. If you're going to get a new tarp, don't go much longer than your boom, lash it tight to the mast and just pull it down the boom, lash to the end and then the sides to the life lines. Hope you have an enjoyable transition to life on the dock, hopefully a relatively mild winter.
I was going to wish you both a happy Thanksgiving, and sadly realize that your Thanksgiving has come and gone. So I want to wish you both a very belated and happy Thanksgiving. I hope you both had a wonderful time.
Might I recommend a Salirite sewing machine and some canvas. Canvas projects can be fun in the winter. Lots of time to sew...You are so pretty in body and soul.
Smart decision to live on a boat where you are, it’s very expensive. Very smart. That said, perhaps fewer videos are fine. We can only watch coffee being made so many times. 😬Good luck!
Welcome Home!!!❤😃 So good to see you on the docks and enjoying settling in! Your cinnamon rolls look sooo yummy!! And loved them in the glass jars! You havent lost your magic touch Gillian!☺️. Too bad the tarp was too big... but its a quick fix... easy peasy👍😅 looking forward to your next video already! Hope you had a wonderful dinner out!❤ Question... do you guys happen to have an Amazon wish list?
How time flies. I started watching your videos during last winter. Question: it was suggested that when it snows you leave the build up because snow acts as an insulator. Are you taking that advice this year? Completely enjoy your content and I truly hope the best.
I thought you gave up. I haven't seen one of your videos show up in over half-a-year, maybe a year. But yet I'm still subscribed and the bell is rung... It's not just you either. It's a whole bunch of channels. OTOH, TH-cam keeps recommending big channels that I couldn't possibly care less about. Anyway, glad to see you're still doing it!!! EDIT: This one was the last one: "After 2 Years Living on a Boat Our Lives are About to Change..." (I'd URL it but then TH-cam would squelch the post.)
I am not having the same problem that you are with this channel. But other channels that I watch have had viewers, expressing the very same frustration. And it seems like TH-cam is now demonetizing a large number of videos. It just doesn’t bode well for the future of the platform

What a lovely young couple you are! Thanks for sharing your world

Couple Bungie Cords will keep tarp quieter in the Wind .

Weather has been cray cray, keep wanting to go crabbing but ugg, such is life in the PNW

A heavy water proof canvas tarp is what you need ..
Thanks
Thank you for your generosity!

You can always fold a tarp to fit perfect, if its to big.

👍 from 🌞Algarve 🏖culatra island 🏖🎣Portugal ⛵
I've had many girlfriends, but none of them cooked. Appreciate it, Jonas.
I missed how those cakey buns turned out so had to rewind. It was important to know they turned out ok because I'm hungry!
Happy Thanksgiving - invest in a tape measure ! thanks for the video
Fold the tarp in half or thirds
Guys, be very carefull securing to the safety wires/stations the weight and wind will bend them. Been there done that.! 😊

Boats are usually covered with White tarp ?
3 metre x 3 metre is what you need for that boat. Home Depot should have them, cheap.
♥️♥️🥰🥰

The yeast won't work if heated over 110 degrees fahrenheit!
I'D LOVE TO BE A MEMBER BUT I'M RETIRED AND HAVE SEVERAL CHARITIES AND A FOSTER CHILD IN RWANDA. SORRY.
