Man I wish I never sold my MK3 Supra. Good videos!
Get another one lol
This is my favorite youtube channel, I hope you keep things going with similar style content. Supras, 80s Toyotas ect. LFATV deserves more popularity imo.
The set up is fun you’ll like it, you will lol.
Genesis Harrigan im sure i will, but i plan on having her good still for ECU master
Really liking how your build is coming along!!! Keep up the great work!!!!!
C.U.L.T.U.R.E thank you brotha, ill keep posting as long as i can
Looking good
enediino thanks dude
Great video man, about to tackle the suspension in mine as well. Rear's squeaking at me when I drive her so this was very helpful for what's in the very near future for me.
DaKineGuy no problem man thanks for watching
Niiice. Cant wait to see what kind of power you get. Once I'm done rebuilding my 7M I'm gonna be looking at the EMU Black
Adrian Babson ill be saving for ECU Master
Feels like a brand new car now, I guess. I love to see these cars been taken care of. Especially Toyota!
Because these are the cars of the time I was trained as mechanic at Toyota Germany.
Lexx1976 definitely man!
For lower control arm bolts you need to cut then with sawzall reciprocating saw with the highest end steel cutting blade. You will need to do this on the back side now that you’re done with front. It’s known for these bolts to rust on the bushing sleeve. The rear traction arms bolts also need this, pain but only way to get those out.
engineer4hire ya i gotta get to them
hell yeah bro you do what you need to do for now bro baby steps it will all be worth it in the end she looking sharp like always
Capt Honeybunns ECU master one day lol
Yeah, kinda hard to buy parts and a house at the same time. Can't wait for your vids on the SAFC tuning with the AF meter. I could learn a few things.
Robert Fitzgerald i kinda ditched the safc and im currently wiring my standalone ecu lol aorry brotha
@@-LFATV I realized that after I saw the date. I was only late by a year. LOL
Robert Fitzgerald 😂😂
Fyi, if you've ruined your ball joint dust boots theres a poly urethane dust boot that works perfect. I have them on my rear.
Christopher Rhoads ahhh thanks for the heads up ill look for the rear ones
@@-LFATV they work for the front also
So doing the passenger inner tie rod do you have to screw on the old bracket
What okd bracket?
The one connecting to the stablizer
How were you able to remove that nut @4:54? I've been trying to remove it but it keeps spinning
The bottom bolt for the shock or the sway bar one?
Hi, Can you tell me how many newtons of tightening it is for the suspension arms?
Thanks
Do you have a solution for upper control arm ball joints? Refreshing my suspension and trying to avoid the $600 adjustable uppers
I’m getting those coilovers
For the price they are worth it fam
What did you end up doing to fix those blown out holes and the alignment tabs with that bolt you had to pry out?
What about the rear? Have you looked into stiffing the subframe from throttle twist? I can't stand punching the gas only to have to turn the wheel sideways to compensate for the subframe twist. Saw some really nice full metal bushings for the subframe to frame connection points. Really love you videos too btw; I'm thinking about doing similar videos when I do more stuff to my mk3 supra 7MGTE. Gotta fix my BHG first though, and I couldn't spring for the full rebuild like you did. For now I'll see how long ARP studs and MHG can get me.
T Kush yes i have the same kit for the rear suspension.. i showed it few videos back. And also i would do atleast and oil pump shim if you are not rebuilding the bottom end
Love the looks of the mk3. I have a buddy who has one I need to talk him out of.
Now that you've run the coilovers for a while, how do you like then? Review?
13THPR0PH37 i talked about them on the video?
Lucky guy. When i did this a year ago, the passanger side ivver tierod was sold out so i had to buy a whole new rack hahaha
Franco Runco u did the better thing actually.. because technically my rack still leaks a bit so i should of jst changed the rack
I have a 86 mk3 with the tems adjustable dampping if I put coilovers on do I have to get rid of that system and will there be a warning light of any kind?
Charles Dail yea you might have to get rid of them, if your cars has oem TEM lights inside the cabin, well they might light up
You'll lose TEMS. Not sure what the lights do but it should be the same as if you disconnected all the TEMS wires from the stockers.
Good job as usual on the upgraded bushings and steering pieces. I just inspected mines last night and my front lower control arms have shifted back and mushroomed the rear bushings. Guess I’m pushing my car pretty hard. 😬Going to order another set as backup and keep a close eye on these or look at what the drift guys are running. I see why Toyota used those big busty chunks of metal/rubber bushings as stock. Extremely hard to remove.
340 Supra they are the worst to remove they can cause some headaches for sure
LFATV I had to use skil saw, jig saw, angle grinder, bushing press, lol. Cut rinse repeat. I sliced the end of my control arm just a little, welded it and grinded it back smooth
340 Supra almost similar process lol
What is the paint color code you used?
New warm grey is the name
Bought an 88 looks the same color (factory).
OICU81266 yea u got the “Toyota Grey”
Mine has small factory red pin stripping along the contours of the fenders... BTW those wheels set it on fire 🔥
Any idea on the torque specs on the spindle nut for the wheel hub
Top of my head no, im sure its online somewere though
Good video question i have vibration when braking replaced front brakes/routers and still vibration any tips 1992 supra 215,000 miles
WN Continental Broadcasting next thing i would look at would be worn out bushes and knuckles
Do you happen to know the specs on the front k-member bolts on the back? They're shoulder bolts but I don't know what size length or thread pitch. Mine fell out ayye
Dam no i dont bro i just took the caliper to ACE and got random ones that fit
Hi bro when you installed your eBay coilovers did you put the shorter springs in the front or rear cause I bought some and noticed springs are different sizes thanks
Where can I find replacement upper control arm ball joints!?!?
CryptMSC they dont jst sell the upper ball joints i think
@@-LFATV What about control arms them selves? I can't find them anywhereeee. EBay had them but its like the left side only.
CryptMSC i couldnt find them either thats why i jst did the bushings
@@-LFATV Ill do some research and let you know if I find anything. Ill prob post it on suprafourms too. Battle version makes toe links and I think upper control arms. But its all spherical and a little pricey.
@@-LFATV Do you think an MK4 or Sc300 ball joint could be the same? Im wondering if I could even fit a GM ball joint in there.
Cool video man, on my favorite Supra, definitely looking forward for more videos!!!
BuilttoSuffer thank you for watching Dude i appreciate it
what coilover did you buy for your supra mk3?
Cheap max speedingrods
You should of hit that bolt with a buzukaso!!!!
4G63T Addict were can i buy one of those?!
Guys like us on budgets build the bottom ends to handle what comes aa we go. I'm running a stock but larger compressor side turbo for now. But down the road when I recoup my savings a bigger turbo and fuel system is coming so it will work that bottom end by the end of next year.
Billy Beane yea man gotta work on a budget
What size rims and tires were you able to fit on your supra?
Edwin Ruiz 18x9 18x11
Safc gets the job done bro lol I got my 400+ with it
Divine Mk3 lol rightt.. i think i will still do ecu master in future though.. well id like to
LFATV just remember every two to three months unplug the battery and let it reset because the more you drive the more the ecu will try to reset itself and you’ll start losing timing and power, good luck
Divine Mk3 good to know thanks for the heads up!
What front lip is that?
Mk4
I'm writing your video from Madrid very well, but to change the upper suspension ball joints you have to first find them, if someone can help. I will be grateful
The upper control arms are sold as One complete piece. Find them at rockauto.com
@@-LFATV Read TV, Thank you for answering me, I have looked for the upper suspension ball joints with your arm but they do not exist in the catalog, You speak Spanish where you are in Mexico USA You can give me more help Thank you very much
@@eduardosarabiamonforte339 denada. Ojala te aiga ayudado
LMAO same shit happen to me bro. That's why I haven't done a bushing kit for the rear suspension.
Antonio Cruz the rears arent bad, its always the fronts
Ouch, that bolt was a bad one.
Shwalker07 it was horrible dude
Boy changed mine this weekend had to cut off all 4 of the bottom arm bolts.
Yo do you have an INsta or something where I can message you? I have a few 7M questions.
CryptMSC yea bro _LFAIG
OK I watched the video up to the part where you said you going to replace the ball joint!!! WHY Toyota!!! Why can't I replace the Ball joints on my MKIV Supra!!!
sucks huh.. i had an sc400 and i wasnt able to change the ball joints on that either like i did my mk3 supra
Hey man, I’ve been watching your videos for a while and I got to say your car is looking really good. I love your wheel and tire set-up and I am going to do the same in my 89 Supra. I had a question about the targa-top. When you remove it, do you have drivability issues because of loss of rigidity and if so what were you thinking of doing. I've been searching google and forums looking for a good solution. I was just curious if you experienced any of that or maybe you can give me a good website that you know of.
jeffrobin604 thank you for watching bro! There used to be an x brace that they made when u removed the targa top but unfortunately they dont make it no more.. unless u find a fabricator to make you one
Mines is targa too ive been looking for that brace and its a rare one for sure but ive found pics only no company that makes it guess im just gonna fab it up try and get the dimensions
I was trying to show some pics that i found but does not let me
Raul Rubalcava yea i would jst try to make my own
Finally! Lol
been busy 😅
LFATV haha I know man but good update love your Supra!
John Cardenas thank you man!
That's what I was saying. 😆 ......jk
MasterQ darnn lol
I'll take that SAFC2 off your hands, when you go standalone.
Why does every video turn into a diy? Asking for a friend
Carlo Gallardo lmao inspirational content
Alohaz yeah buddy it's been a minute but I'm glad to see you doing big things on what you can afford always remember budgeting is a real man's game although we would all love to go out and buy top of the line parts for some people that is not the case I love the way she's turning out just want you to know that your build has then motivating me a lot maybe I'll start vlogging it in the near future who knows LOL keep up the great work much ALOHAZ and MAHALOZ for always puting up golden content 🔰🙌
AKIRE 808 yea man it would be nice to buy whatever lol but as always man thanks for watching
Aloha Hawaii MK3 brother! Nice to see there's another one running around out here. I've only run into 4-5 on the road over the last few years. Met a guy with a super clean light blue '89 with ~35k miles at the gas station a couple weeks ago, it was awesome :)
DaKineGuy i bet there isnt too many
