What a time it was. Rhodesia and it's hero's will always be remembered for their bravery under fire and the sacrifices they had to make to defend their homes. They stood on their own on against the entire world and for fifteen years they fought the good fight, God bless them.

There was never any significant threat from the local civilian population to Europeans, even though there was resentment from the better educated. It required a spell of exile, African Nationalist education, and training and weaponry from outside to escalate the situation to bloodshed - bloodshed which could have been headed off by earlier concessions.

It's blackpilling what happened to the Rhodies, but especially what happened to the Matabeles/Ndebeles after Rhodesia fell. It's a de facto Shona state. Not only did they genocide the Ndebele people, but they make life for them hard there. If you can't speak Shona it's often very difficult to get service at public institutions, and there's a lot of ethnic nepotism.
Even people who are anti-white really don't comprehend the interethnic hatred that there is in places like Zim, it makes black-white racism look like a joke.

Rhodesia was the second most powerful country in the region and had the third largest white population. For instance, according to the 'Encyclopaedia Rhodesia', the whites ‘reached 250,000 for the first time in 1971.’
Neighbouring Mozambique (a Portuguese colony) was in fourth place because a census in 1970 showed that it was home to 163,000 whites. Another Portuguese colony, Angola, had the region’s second largest white population, a total of 280,000 in 1970. The country with the largest white population was South Africa. In 1974 a census recorded that there were 4,160,000 whites. (These figures are from Claudia Castelo’s book ‘Passagens para Africa’ and ‘Hutchinson’s Encyclopaedia’).

I had a friend who had to go to Salisbury just after the communist takeover and she could not get near the government building to do her business. The stench was horrifying. She couldn’t figure out what it was. She thought it was dead bodies rotting in the sun
She put a handkerchief over her face and tried to breathe through her mouth it turns out the locals had taken over the government building and loaded it with chickens
They brought their chickens with them, and you can imagine the chickens shitting on the lawn and the smell in the hot sun, but that’s the mentality of the locals
