I love seeing my black people grooving to old jams. It makes me feel wonderful cause that's how it should be when we all get together.
I was think'in the same thang. Such a beautiful thang.
As a white guy I would love to be there jammin out as well
Texas guy “inferior” yep no white supremacy going on here
😢 💪🏾
Jessicunt YOUR black people? lmao.....so much for racism
For all the people asking what the songs were, pay attention:
Love's Holiday - Earth, Wind and Fire
I Want To Be Free - The Ohio Players
Cause I Love You - Lenny Williams
MVP
feverspell Would You Mind-Earth, Wind, and Fire
Thanks.👍
K Man who sing the second song a wanna be free who did that one...?
That's would you mind not loves holiday stupid
YOU CANT TELL ME LENNY WILLIAMS DIDNT MEAN THAT SHIT!
steve stole the show here
#Indeed WL
No he didnt. Truth is he started the tour as the closer but Bernie Mac got on his Mariano Rivera shit and Steve was regulated to host.
Until Bernie came out. 😂
truthhurts2000 Hey, I love Bernie Mac.
But... Steve have found his calling card as a host. I think Steve and Jamie Foxx maybe the best host ever.
Besides, Bernie can’t be funny unless he is using profanity.
www.fashiontvnetwork.com
Terell Not on this segment.
So of you guys are clueless ?
Steve is using audiences as the show.
Bernie couldn’t do this.
Quit hating so much.
No comedian today can ever top THE KINGS OF COMEDY.
Patrice O'neal could.
Check out George carlin the ever legend of legend mate
Peace love

bill burr
Samuel Lucas That's because there is no humor anymore, just political correctness.
C John right on the money
That lenny williams part gives me chills
The single best example of owning a crowd. Legends.
Actually... Freddie Mercury at Live Aid in Wembley Stadium is that
Michael Jackson did that so many damn times....
@@kevincosgrove948we don’t care about Freddie mercury. Ur in the wrong place
@@allaroundentertainment7230 well if he was black… you would care, right? Just show your racism upfront.
@@kevincosgrove948 thats correct. I dont care about u people haha im ashamed to have it in my blood. U suck at guitar btw 🤣
Men, no one has a phone and recording. Everyone is enjoying the show. What a great time
I love the fact that he kicked the mic stand and the chair during that last song!😂😂😂 That is, to me, what music should do to you. And I'm young! #oldskool
NBA young boy pour one
RIGHT!!!
The First I may not have been born in the 70's but i too was raised on Earth, Wind and Fire, MTume, LTD, Regina Belle, Paul Taylor, David Sanborn, Brownstone, Jade, Xscape, DaBrat, Aaliyah, too much to name.
That was the funniest s...ever lol!
Like number 667 cuz I hate the devil!
"If you don't stand I swear to God I'll wal- 🚶🏾♂️" 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
That shit took me out 🤣😭
HE KICKED THE DAMN STOOL.
#YallJustDontKnow
Yes he did kick it lol!
#WhenInDoubtGoOldSchool
I spilled my damn drank in the theater when I heard the beginning of the song
Steve preaching!!!! I'm 29. IF YOU DONT GET INTO OLD SCHOOL YOU DONE MISSED IT!!!!!!
I'm about to be 28 and I love old music
Same old school music is better objectively than new school music will ever be period.
That's right. I'm a huge jodeci fan that's when music was music
I’m 25 🔥🔥
RIP Maurice White. Steve Harvey's point about the blatant inferiority of hip hop compared to classic soul is even more true NOW than it was 16 years ago.
J Oliver Hazley I totally agree.
And before any youngsters get all up in their feelings, Steve was in no way dissing hip hop. He is just old school to his heart.
J Oliver Hazley it's all perception, we don't give a fuck.
You evidently never listened to a Kendrick Lamar album
I concur
"Everybody stand the fuck up, if you don't stand I swear to god I'll wal..." 🤣
This is the magic of comedy. Everyone in that venue was smiling, even the hood dudes.
Im 19 and I could listen to earth wind and fire all day.
Maybe it's just me, I think Earth, wind and Fire was the best group that came out of the 70s.
I still laugh my ass off when he drop kicks the mic stand lol
funny as hell. if that mic stand could talk
jartstopsign l
The funniest shit ever!
Word 😂😂😂
He meant that shit too 😂😂
This was my favorite part of "Kings Of Comedy" . . . Steve's preaching the God's honest truth here!
My favorite part of Steve's set indeed! WL
Mine too, i always come back to this clip
Kicks the mic stand over Lenny Williams...my favorite part 😂😂
Y'know, "Cause I Love You" truly is the greatest love song its got everything: heartache, loneliness, tears, and confession of true love all in little over 7 minutes.
A perfect example for Burning the House Down! No singing, no jokes, no self deprecation is necessary, just straight up ENERGY! This is why Steve is one of the Kings of Comedy! He can fire up a stadium full of people just by connecting with them through excerpts from his favoite records.Resepect!
This part always makes me feel good inside. Seeing the love, people being happy......I love being Black 😩❤️
Have to give it to Steve. He blow that stage up
The woman who threw her underwear on the stage, threw them on 0:46😂
Nene Scott yooo wtf that lady needs to calm the fuck down
That ACTUALLY used to happen at the late, great Teddy Pendergrass's concerts he used to do for women only, they would throw underwear on the stage back then! LOL!!
@@Dell-ol6hb that's common from the 60s all the way into the late 80s. Bras and panties always got tossed even at rock concerts
Camera man got her at the end of the video doin her thang haha
she is still an icon to this day
TELL ME HOW I KNEW HE WAS GONNA PLAY "CAUSE I LOVE YOU"?!!! He was describing it & I just KNEW!! 😭
I was at this show taped in Charlotte NC. Steve had me dying laughing. 🤣🤣🤣
Tupac blew his cover 2:15
+Khalid El Maziani Thanks for watching! Check out more Kings of Comedy clips here th-cam.com/play/PLB99353A94AA7EB9B.html
Lmaoo you tried it! 😂😂😂
Cookiedamonster1 ✌
+Khalid El Maziani Lmao what was the emoji for? I was joking along with you!
Lmmfao good one!
not going to lie i love watching shows like this not even for the comedy more just to see us out enjoying ourselves it’s something about black peoples reaction/enjoyment of something that i just enjoying watching
The last song is just BEAUTIFUL!!!
I remember seeing this in the theater, and this segment made me want to explore and get into old school soul and R&B. And ever since then, life has been much, much better. Thanks Steve!
That's awesome! You left this 9 years ago...but love your comment!! 🥰🎵🎶
I thought i was only one. This definitely got me into old school music. Im 23 but music like this is unmatched
Got me too! Definitely gotta thank Steve for getting me into some old school classics.
that's what i am about to journey into myself
🙌🏽
man, the music and some of them beautiful black ladies in there....
The music is aces BUT note this is a masterful comedic bit where the joke/laughs generated by masterful timing of a few simple actions: Kicking the chairs, dropping the mic, the particular lyrics he lip syncs, his body language. He makes punchlines just listening to some songs. Fantastic!
Seeing black folks together having a goold ol time makes me feel so good. And seeing that dude dressed up with the bandana reminding me of Tupac😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 I'm loving this
Dude with the yellow bandana looking like 2 Pac he should've sat his ass down because he doesn't know nothing about old school funk slow jams Ohio Players I Wanna Be Free
This NEVER fails to lift my spirits, give me goosebumps and make me smile......Feels so good....Born in 67 and raised with this kind of music all around me so i totally understand Mr Harvey's sentiments.......Peace
69 brother right here. Music makes you feel.

69 and still play my 50's 60's 70's classics along with my Anita Baker and Sade
is it weird that im the only teenager (well now an adult) who doesn't get embarrassed when my mom plays these kind of songs because it was around her time and I happen to like it?
no your not special in any way and nobody really cares
+Silver III youre
Silver III weird way to put it but cool. I always get made fun of and i get called ridiculous for listening to "old people" music
Maile-Lokelani Magno Good taste.
Maile-Lokelani Magno nope your not my momma God rest her soul used to play old school music all day everyday from Aretha to Patti to Luther to Anita Baker to Lenny Williams and any others when me & my siblings were young now me at age 21 going on 22 next will still listen to any of those artists I just named before I’ll ever just listen to artists of my generation of music
I first heard of Lenny Williams thanks to this part of the movie and oh my goodness...when I looked up the video of Lenny Williams singing the song and looked up the lyrics...Steve Harvey wasn't kidding about it being the greatest love song. That song has some deep lyrics and an amazing singer to back them up. Just wow.
I may not have enjoyed him stopping the show just to play deep cuts, but I did appreciate finding that song as well. Any woman I date that doesn't react to that song? She's gone.
@@mrmusickhimself that was the best part of his set. 🙄
@@mrmusickhimself what!? Man you definitely aren't an old school fan if you didn't love this part.
If you ain't feeling it, then it ain't for you. That's old school
Steve Harvey......back then you blew up the Kings of Comedy. Nice tribute to ole' school. Lenny Williams will forever resonate in our lives when it comes to the women we cherish and love.
Nice comment! WL
God dammit I want to be free! That was powerful.
One thing that always stood out to me was how everyone came to this show dressed to impress. All the older folk had suits on and dresses. I was born in 91 but I always admired how people from the old school suited up for events like these.
Same here. I was born in 83 and all the old folk showed up in suits and furs for Holidays and bdays. Like am I underdressed in my TMNT shirt age 8
2:15 1Pac over there groovin'
I’m 15 years old, and I felt him on every last one chilee😂
Me too
😂😂😂 for real
Go get a couple albums and be schooled by real music.
Born in '94, grew up with 70s and 80s parents, thank god for them, I inherited some great taste in music, got some good tracks on my own, oh lord this shit is hittin me hard!
I love the way that Steve Harvey explained the old school music
This man is not only a genius comedian but also a great example to what old skool is about.Respect!!!
My Wife said "just go ahead " when this part came on! She knew I was in Heaven hearing these old school jams! Peace!
"Did somebody throw they draws up here?"

"YOU OUTTA STAND THE XXXX UP!!" lol 3:22
You are not alone!!! I am 29 years young and I stay playin ole school joints!!! That Lenny Williams joint is my jam!!!
"If you don't get into ol school, you don't know music" steve Harvey❤
3:09 crowd reaction is crazy 😂
Right 😂😂
I'm young asf but i gotta say songs back then were so fucking good and had good jams to it not to forget it had emotions compared to the garbage we have at present time that devalue women.
Daaaanng! As soon as Lenny williams came on, my ass damn near blow up! Hahahaha
Kirkpatrick Wehi The image your comment placed in my head nearly killed me! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This whole segment was transcendent!!! Lenny Williams - cause I love you, had these women screaming!!!!!!
I will forever love old school R&B music. My parents played it all the time when I was a kid and I fell in love with it right away. My dad used to tell me "if you really want to impress a girl, put on some old school music."
2:46 - It's because of Steve Harvey and this movie that I first heard about Lenny Williams. This song "'Cause I Love You" came out the year I was born, and I never heard it until "The Original Kings of Comedy". LOVE THIS SONG!!!! Thank you, Steve Harvey and Latham Entertainment, for opening my eyes to this wonderful song.
I white person from Ireland and these songs are all my favourite mf jams🤣🤣🤣🤣
Audience looked like a mega church !! 🤣😭
My favorite part im a 80's baby but i know this type of music i grew up listening to this straight classic's

Yessssss me too
This was one of the best performances by Harvey. This show cracked me up.👍
Born in 1986 but this my music
I do too! Have you subscribed to the Walter Latham Comedy channel on TH-cam yet? WL
I was born in 1985 and this my type of music
Born in 1987 & I love me some Earth Wind & Fire and all the other old school songs.
Also born in 1986. Veteran's Day.
My type of music, too.. :-) :-)
Yes! Young People with a sense of real creativity. I love it!
This was my fave part
Steve Harvey is HILARIOUS 😂😂
This is one of my favorite parts of the whole show.
Despite his strong language, Steve Harvey was right all along. 1:04 minutes to 1:15 minutes is the best part.
Here is a shocker for you. I was a white kid born in the 60s in one of the most segregated areas of Alabama but alot of the music I listened to as a young kid was Gap Band, Rick James, Parliament, Kool and the Gang, Lionel Richey, Commodores, Rufus and Shaka Khan, Earth Wind and Fire, Prince,
Not really a shocker. Music was music back then. If you were lucky enough to hear it, you got to know good music.
That was awesome. Steve Harvey did that perfect. He got the crowd all excited and feeling good, by playing those great songs. That was genius
Still gives me chills.
Same here and I was there. WL
Steve Harvey brought out the heavy, coldest, baddest songs out there. Those songs bring back a lot of memories!
I'm 34 years old. I've been an old school R&B baby since 2002, when I was 13. My first time re-watching this after I started listening to old school R&B music to movie I knew every single song lol. I'm from Columbia SC and I should listen to the Big DM 101.3 or KISS 98.5 FM (They are now 103.1). Steve comically and accurately described my reason of then and even now I love nothing but R&B music, especially old school
As a aspiring film maker this probably one of the most iconic comedy films of all time
It's beyond iconic
This and Eddie Murphy's RAW and Delirious are truly the G. O. A. T.
Still watching in 2024! Gives me goosebumps all the time especially the EWF🥲
"These is lyrics got damn it sing em" LMAO Love EWF!
This segment couldn't have went any more perfect.
Steve is the truth. He got too happy! Lol
I love that Earth wind and fire song now because of this clip! 🙌🇿🇦🙌🇿🇦
I love the timing of him finding the drawers just as the music picked up 4:38
Had to be staged! Pricetag still on!😂
The best stand up show from beginning to end.
Earth Wind & Fire are world treasure. They gave and still give me many many sense and joy of my life.Thank you for ever.I love you.God bless you.Frank from Europe👍
This is 5 and a half truly inspired, transcendent minutes and in my opinion, the highlight of Steve Harvey's performing career.
Who watching this 2020 stil mi fav Steve Harvey😩😅🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My dad grew up on that music. He was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan ❤
Love how Steve can capture the crowd. Funny ass show
Would you mind if I touch,
if I kiss, if I held you tight
in the morning light
Would you mind if I said how I felt tenderly tonight
again cause
I never ever felt this way in my heart before
Love has a holiday in my heart tonight Would you mind if I looked
into your eyes till I'm hypnotized and I lose my pride Would you mind if I make love to you till I'm satisfied again cause I never ever felt this way in my heart before Love has a holiday in my heart tonight.. What a great by Earth, Wind And Fire
old songs never dies
how do i get that song the one playing in this vedeo love holidays
Earth wind and fire>>>>>
Everytime i revisit this video for the music and the vibe...🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is an absolute celebration of all good things. Sheer class, grace and simplicity. superrrrb
I love my black people.

Oh man there's nothing like it .
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
And I’m not even black.
Steve Harvey is one of the best comedians to ever live
Lenny Williams Because I Love You is my song. But I didn't even know about Lenny Williams until my boyfriend played it for me. And he sang every word of the song to me. And I love Earth, Wind, and Fire. I was born in the 70s but that doesn't matter I still love this music. Thank you Steve you are hilarious!
And nothing can top The Kings Of Comedy!!!! They are all so funny! There will never be anyone to replace Bernie Mac! Rest In Peace missing you still.
Steve harvey is a legend hands down
I remember seeing this in theaters in the year 2000 ❤ the absolute best comedy tour ever! I watch this movie all the time
Verzuz brought me back here to reminisce. 😂 Kings of Comedy is a CLASSIC! I’m glad Steve got to enjoy his moment with his favorite group. 👏🏾👏🏾
This is the blueprint on how you move the crowd!
I love that song by Lenny Williams god thank you for having my uncles and big brother listen these type of songs when I was a little kid because I grow up to appreciate it now that I'm 24 I totally understand them
You were lucky. I had to sift through all the bullshit to get to the good music. I don't fuck with new shit anymore.
im 23 and aint nothing like the old skool.
5:19 That one white guy in the audience looking lost 💀💀😂
Music is coded in the DNA of black folks. What's Entertainment for any other Group is an expression of Life itself for blacks. This part of the show really spoke to me.
Ameeen!!

Oh fuck off man. Maybe they are more affected by it, but music is definitely in everyone regardless of ethnicity.
