Quick question! Is it possible to use libre freestyle with the super sapiens app? and is it possible to export raw data from the libre freestyle. Thanks

@@morphee5203 yes the sensor continuously monitors your blood glucose, and sends an alarm to alert you if you're going high or low. So much better than Libre 1.
@morphee Yes, Libre 2 (and also Libre 1) continuously monitor. They just don't push the data to the phone/reader. WIth both Libre 1 and Libre 2 you need to scan to see the number and trend. The advantage of Libre 2 is that it warns you (in form of low/high alarm) to let you know that you should scan to see what is wrong. As an ex sports car mechanic when I start to see folks saying that they are experiencing sensor failure with this new device an alarm goes off in my head. Given that sensor failures seem to be somewhat infrequent in the Libre 2 system, and given that this new device apparently uses the same sensor I can't help but wonder if it's the sensor itself failing or is this a communication problem between the sensor and the new device????
I’ve been on Libre 1 since July and have just been told I’m being moved to Libre 2. Can’t wait. Biggest gripe I have with LibreLink is it doesn’t link with apple health
In Canada I only see the first version on Freestyle Libre it sucks I could have prevented so many shakes with alarms. Don't feel my lows until I'm below 2.0 usually.
Hi Tom, may I ask where I can get Libre Sense ? I can see it hard to purchase Libre Sense on Amazon. Could you give a link of purchasing Libre Sense if there's any. Thx.
Even for non-diabetic users, if you practice sport in a intense way, it´s easy to go far from 200 mg/dl. I tested the Libre2 in my case (non diabetic) and starting in 90 mg/dl I reached sometimes 220-250 mg/dl after a 10 km race effort...it´s a evidence that HIIT sports will increase glucose levels so far. That's a point to improve in the Libre Sense...
I’m using libre sense. I find it very accurate and so far very reliable. I love it. But now I see why it’s not good for diabetics. I’m trying to manage my insulin resistance so it works fine for me.
In supersapiens app one can click on the glucose graph and scroll through the values. My second libresense sensor also died in the first day of use. I am waiting for the replacements.
Yes. You are right. So sorry to hear your second sensor also failed. I received the replacement within one day. That was amazing. Hope it will also be this fast for you! Take care my friend!
Ηοw could the alarms be usefull if you have to scan the sensor yourself before? Am I missing something? Meaning if I have to scan I will check for the values. The importand thing is to get notified when you don't pay attention on your glucose levels in order to prevent things. Also about the app the solution is easy we should push those developers to open the app for all of the tracking sensors which by the way are produced from the same manufacturers/companies and so on.
Love your videos. I have watched several but am still confused about the differences between using a Libre 2 with a reader vs all the products I am seeing that sell a Libre sensor and their companies software. Is the Libre 3 going to be similar to products like what Levels is selling? I heard you mention Bubbles and another one. I get emails from Veri and Sugarbeat. I cannot not distinguish what makes them different. Do you have any ideas? Do you find the charts and graphs on Biosensor of use? How much difference in price? Then their is the phone. Have you seen a chart that tells if you have a particular phone, the CGM and software that would work? I would have to buy a new phone to use Libre 2 unless I use the reader. I thought I saw Libre can store 8 hrs of data then you scan and get it vs taking a min of 10 scans a day? Get the data? what does that mean? Downloaded to a file on computer to save or just to reader to look at. So confused.
If you are in the States, it is already here for the FSL2. I work in a pharmacy and it was a topic for one of the months I did one of my lives when I had my license renewal last year. Yes. The design of the sensors is exactly the same and they use the same technology to take the readings. However they interface with different apps as FreeStyle Libre is approved for medical use and Libre Sense not.
I'm jumping the gun a little bit I know, but I cannot wait for the 3. Its a combination of the two review here, right? Been using Freestyle Libre 2 for three months and very pleased with the results. My big question. Is there any cgm which can be used for swimmers? I swim at least an hour a day. l know from researching my cgm is not suitable for submersion of more than 25 minutes. Any suggestions?
i have purposely ABUSED my Libre 14day(US) by swimming several hundred meters, and then remaining in the pool to play with the kids: there has been no problem with adhesion or sensor-performance for the full 14 days. (BUT I do aggressive skin cleansing prior to adhering a sensor, and i swim with elastic-strap(actually a 3inch-wide cut nylon-dress sock). good luck!!!
I assume you mean Libre Sense? I don’t recall of the top of my head. If you check my previous two videos on Libre sense I discussed the detailed list of countries in one of them. I believe Canada is not on the list for Libre Sense. The Libre 2 should now be available in Canada.
I watched an video earlier today from another site that was using the Libre 2. She had issues with it being inaccurate and not giving readings if she was swinging too much. She would eat some carbs before going for a run and then of course she dropped some while running. Libre 2 would go out (kept saying come back in 10 mins.) but it continued until she was no longer exercising. Exercise is a pretty important time to need the information. Is this situation true for you ?
Libre 2 worked for me just fine and reliable during my work outs. No complaints in that department. But everyone is difference so I would not be surprised if others had slightly difference experience as well. Wishing you a great day my friend!
Excellent review/comparison of these two very similar and yet slightly different systems. That said the cynic in me can't help but wonder what prompted Abbott to begin offering the Libre Sense. From a market expansion point of view the second system makes Sense (sorry for the pun) as it taps into a very "upscale market" with very deep pockets! Any manufacturer taking note of $200+ running shoes, $12,000+ bicycles, and $1,000+ mountain jackets is going to wind up asking their marketing department to figure out a way to access those wallets! What actual value this product has to offer to runners, rowers, and weight lifters I am unsure. These lucky little buggers are in possession of a hormone powered counter regulatory system that makes NASA engineers mouth water and I'm not sure that knowing ones bG level is going to allow a lot of fine tuning of athletic performance??? Perhaps dietary modifications, carb loading, and such variables could be manipulated based upon bG readings? But quite honestly if I were a non diabetic cyclist I'd be willing to trade in my bG monitoring system for a new, higher performance set of tires in a wink! The second, and perhaps more important reason for the Sense system making Sense for Abbott is that it allows them to make system modifications without having to jump thru FDA and other countries regulatory hoops that are perhaps very costly and time consuming. And hey if wealthy athletes are willing to pay for the development of advanced features that may one day be adapted for diabetic bG monitoring I am all for it! Makes Sense to me!
I think you are very close but also think of it this way. You manufacture 100 units. These are tested and 70 meet the specifications for the diabetic use. Those ship as Libre 2. Some of the rest are close but maybe the alarm fails enough to be out of spec. That ships as a Libre 1. Lastly some might be fairly accurate most of the time but again out of spec. Those ship as a Libre Sense. Ultimately out of that hundred maybe only two or three get recycled/trashed. (This is also the difference between MIL-SPEC, and commercial use of the same product.). So the iCGM circuitry is all there, but turned off in the 2 (FDA regulations), but turned on in the Sense, as you say giving them a chance to test changes. I can well imagine as manufacturing increases for Libre 3, there will be a similar Sense product, and so on.
That’s correct. I mentioned it in a couple videos already and did not want to bring it up again to be repetitive. But you are absolutely correct. Thank you for pointing that out! I hope the alarms will be available to you guys in the US soon in the app. Enjoy your weekend!
To learn how different kinds of food affect their blood glucose. That info may be used to avoid / heal insulin resistance and to stay in ketosis for weight loss and improved overall health. Athletes may be interested in it for other reasons (optimal fueling strategies for ultra marathons etc).
Thank you for responding Mikko! I absolutely agree. That is the reason. I discussed some more details about my previous videos about Libre Sense. Wishing you a great day!
Using FSL1 because in my country we not had FSL2 or even this other one... actually we not had dexcom of any kind soo FSL1, at least i like it, and with miaomiao a can use Xdrip+ as my app to monitor my glucose, i like to change the app, because for some reasson the XDrip+ forces me to make some adjust and i feel like software struggles against FSL1 readings some times, i need make some readins until both get nice sync values. I not trust 100% in XDrip, i prefer FSL1 reading in pure data, but not had this option in XDrip+ sensor... soo some time i check with scanner and rarely scanner ready goes too off what i feel about my own body... the wierd stuff is, my father as a type one too, not net any sensor and say that he knews very well if the glucose is high or low, i just know some signals but is kind trick because the same high value signs are the same as eating some food... this made me rethink about natural body condictions over no perfect equal meals and how low or high signs may are fake ones, because of natural effects after eating some stuffs
Thank you for sharing your experience my friend! Sorry to hear that the CGM option are so limited in your country. Hopefully, it will get better over time. Wishing you and your family all the best!
I'm a type two diabetic. I used FreeStyle Libre 2 for a month. Which means two sensors. It was good, but when I started the next month with a new sensor it gave me reads about 300!! I freaked out at the moment. I ran to test by the blood glucose meters OneTouch Ultra2 multiple times and it gave me reads less than 190. Since then I swore to not use FreeStyle again. Sadly, since my insurance pays 50% of the FreeStyle price, it doesn't cover Libre Sense. So I keep pricking myself with OneTouch Ultra2 daily.
With insurance my part is $274 for 2 sensors. Ridiculous. I have been a diabetic for 46 years and I am so use to my whole life being controlled by blood sugars that I would love to be able to afford some modern technology.
Waiting for LIBRE 2 to be copaid by portuguese system. Actual LIBRE cost 65€, but with state copays should be 6.50€ , but not authorized yet....I rather wait 😉

I can well imagine as manufacturing increases for Libre 3, there will be a similar Sense product, and so on.
Hey Tom...you might want to add that the libre app in America has no alarm...!!!
That’s correct. I mentioned it in a couple videos already and did not want to bring it up again to be repetitive. But you are absolutely correct. Thank you for pointing that out! I hope the alarms will be available to you guys in the US soon in the app. Enjoy your weekend!
Hi Tom.... Cheers from Portugal 🇵🇹
Cheers Alberto! Hope all is good!
If your blood sugar is above 200 you can always use a glucometer for back up.
Why would a non diabetic want to monitor their blood sugar? Seems like overkill. Thanks
@@mikkovermasvuori4776 Thanks, now I know.
Ahoj, mohl bych poprosit o nějaký kontakt na tebe ? Děkuji ! :)
Ahoj Kubo. Jsem na instagramu (@typeonetalks).
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Have a great day!
That is a big difference! Hope it is 6.50 for you soon. That is much more affordable. Thanks for always watching and commenting Alberto! Bom Dia!
No help really. Can't use the sense
Thanks for watching. Hope the next one will be more help:) Have a great weekend Nick!
Sorry Tomas. The device, not your talk which is no help 👍
