    Dear Brian,
I'd like to add the following ideas to yours:
    - After writing down your worries, bring the fact to your attention that there are two types of stress. Good pushes, forces you to perform what difficult but necessary. Let's call it constructive or motivating stress. Bad stress moves your focus away from your goals, distracts you and causes you to underachieve or even to freeze. Name it destructive or demotivating stress.
Also recall that these can only occur in your brain, nowhere else. They are the biological response of your psychical reactions to certain situations. Make a conscious decision that you will tame bad stress into a constructive one. Decide that nothing should prevent you from achieving your goals! Keep saying this to yourself until you have the solid will to transform destructive stress into a constructive one.
    - Write down your GOAL(s) in connection of which you face the stress. Some situations may seem to be unrelated. In such cases, you can relate them by considering the goal, the achievement of which is hindered or endangered by the situation. This reinforces the importance of overcoming your worries and makes stress more managable, by putting it into a greater context. It lets you look beyond the problem and to see wider horizons.
    - Take a minute or two and visualize yourself achieving your goal. Imagine how you would feel. This will deeply relax you. Now visualize yourself having just overcome the stress, imagine the relief, the good feelings. Than look back at your worries - you'll see them a lot less frightening.
    - Start listing all your positive qualities and attributes that are at your disposal to overcome the problem. You'll find a whole arsenal of supportive qualities - you'll be feeling more capable of doing the necessary things.
    - You are not alone! Remember that there's a good chance that many others have already had to face and conquer the same situation.
    - Stress bears the opportunity of strengthening you. As individuals, we have different levels of stress tolerance and ability to handle or manage stress. However, as being a mental process, stress management can be learned and be improved. The best opportunity of improving it is when you are under stress!
    Thank you.

when I feel stressed out, I don't think about ongoing solution or I don't take any impulsive decisions at that moment. I just relax (at least try to do that) and let the moment pass. Later on, I try to sought it out. But this doesn't work sometimes too.

I worked for a company I was uneasy about the hidden charges and questionable billing.
I'm currently working for a company that treats employees like disposable objects. I know that we are all essentially replaceable but no need to tells us daily that automation is coming and we can be outsourced to Costa Rica. If someone does lose his job, there was absolutely nothing I could do. The line is always "the policy of the company is....". We were hourly workers but we had metrics that were almost impossible to keep. Every once in a while some person we never heard of would send an email telling us that our numbers are this. But no advice on how to improve. Only to improve or find the door.
I absolutely hate working for my current company. It makes me sick to my stomach. My co-workers and my direct manager are nice but the job itself is giving me an ulcer. I have only eaten once since Wednesday. I have slept maybe 12 hours in that time. I just lay in bed and count the minutes until I have to go back.
Then I hear about budget cuts everywhere and companies becoming "lean" (doing less with more) and workers losing benefits or being de-classified from employees to contractors. Even privatizing services that were once and probably should remain public. Or outsourcing for much cheaper labor.
Is this what jobs are going to be like from now on? Being treated like a garbage or expected to reach unattainable goals?
How can I find a job that doesn't make me feel ill?
I am about to have a degree in accounting.

Because I'm stressed all the time , I want to do things that relax me all the time, especially before or after having a breakdown, but I end up doing this instead of doing the work I should be doing which makes me feel more stressed because I end up wasting more time (I feel like I procrastinate to avoid the stress of realising I don't know enough for my exams). I want to be productive and motivated despite being stressed but this level of stress feels unmanageable and makes me unable to concentrate. Any tips on how to keep doing work?

To beat stress, first you have to "eat that frog", as you say! :-). What is the one biggest thing causing you stress? The second thing you have to do is eliminate all distractions that are holding you back from eating that frog. Say your work is your biggest stress, then begin to eliminate your distractions outside of work. This will let you focus and help you prepare to "eat that frog" every day! The third thing to do to eliminate stress is to get outside, into the great outdoors. This might mean a walk, a hike, or simply 15 minutes of fresh air. By reconnecting with the great outdoors, you begin to let your body and mind relax and let your breathing return to normal. Cheers! :-)

However for me :Staying motivated during stress happens when you put ur self on automood/ auto pilot and go through ur tasks emotionless, just be in the moment and try not to be selfish and view one self as a victim
