My plan was to get one of these for my lv6548’s. I think tinkering with the voltage limits would probably solve the issue.

I tried a few times. Thinking that how each sees 55v absorption and float voltages may be different, I did a little tweaking but you can’t do it on the fly, you got to make a change and wait a day to truly see the effect. I’m not a patient guy and with the heat wave I didn’t want to get out of whack and have to supplement the charge. They don’t cost much and they are good to have on hand. Give it a try and let us know(and where I went wrong). The Victron has better detail in charging. The 6548 only has bulk and float, no absorption time and other un wanted weird things.

Although this wasn’t effective for my system, it may work with different inverters. The reduction in charge current from the inverters when approaching absorption voltage was notable. The algorithm between the Victron and MPP Solar may not have been compatible.

I've used Midnite SCC with my two Sol-Ark 12K's. Works great. Could you not just vary your Absorption and Float voltage settings. That is what I did. I never set them the same. If I didn't like the way either SCC was charging, I made changes.

Probably could have spent more time with that but it was one of first tweaks.

how are you liking the lv6548 so far ?

Still, the bang for the buck is not bad. The Eg4 version is a nice unit too. Both have some hurdles but nothing insurmountable. It’s been running continuously since I started It except for when I added surge protection. Heat is going to be your biggest limitation. Temporary removing the filters will let it keep running 50 degrees cooler on a 115 degree day. Highly recommend Solar Assistant with it. So much control anywhere.

@@SkypowerwithKarl thanks for the reply, been considering one of these units for a while but wanted input from someone who had it for awhile

Hello. I saw you made a comment on the used car tire road construction method

Can you give more details if this is doable in Kenya?
