I just failed the nurse practitioner exam.😭😭😓 I cannot begin to articulate the level of embarrassment and heartache I'm feeling. 😥 I'm confident that I will be a good nurse . I just need to get past this, move on and persevere

I had been nurse since 2008 , started also in NY as dialysis then I moved to VA and worked in the ED for 81/2 yrs now I am doing Case management. Its the easiest job plus pays more. You should try it. Dont do the hospital one but the UR/UM department. No on call. Only special holiday.

@@gratitudetouniverse3754 I am in the USA. It is better that you have a bedside experience because you will use those experience. Specially your assesment skill, judgment and decision making. Let's say your pt is declining. Should you send your pt to ER or keep him/her. The position you should look for is Home Health. It's usually run by agency. They will give you assignment close to your house. You csn pick and choose your assignment too. Cases are all different. There are adult or pediatric. Personally I like adult better. Diseases varies like Diabetes, Quadriplegic, Down Syndrome or Autistic. If pt is heavy they usually have Hoyer lift. You can have pt with trachea and ventilator, you can asked for more money if they have vent/trach. Sometimes they have Gtube. I have a pt who is walking, no vent/trach or Gtube. Only, aspiration risk. So I supervise the pt duting mrsls. So easy. Easiest job in nursing.

@@gratitudetouniverse3754 as for what I do as private duty nurse. I worked as night shift nurse. If my pt is sleeping, I just sit and read. I checl my patirnt every hour quietly. We are not allowed to sleep. I just make sure that my patient is safe and alive. I administer medication, at night there is rarely meds schedule. If they need prn, I give them prn meds.
