When I found out about the new Jack of all trades rune and the reworked Flickerblades, I immediately thought about combining them on my favorite champion Volibear.

@dashingshrimp6825 1 mil volibear top main, go Dora's blade, ROA/riftmaker (depending matchup), flickerblades into full tank. You can do nashors 3rd for more damage but can't always do that. Easiest way to full stack Jack is Dora's blade, ROA, merc treads, flickerblades, frozen heart. Done that's 10 once you buy 1 armor shard

How is 25 adaptive force and 10 AH worth 1750 gold?
If you use basic items to represent gold/stat value you get:
Glowing Mote 250g/5AH = 500g/10AH
25 Adaptive Force is either 25AP or 15AD:
Amplifying Tome 400g/20AP = 500g/25AP
Long Sword 350g/10AD = 525g/15AD
Best case scenario, you have 10 unique stats and get 10AH and 15AD for a total of 1025 gold. And that is if you use basic items as a way to represent the gold/stat values. AND since full items actually have better gold/stat ratios, you're getting less than 1k gold worth of stats. AND you need 10 unique stats, which is not easy. But if you find a champion with a viable build that gives 10 unique stats, i guess it is kind of worth it to go Jack of all trades.
Summary: Jack of all trades does not give you nowhere near 2k gold worth of stats, but if you find a viable build that gives you 10 unique stats, its probaby still worth to go with the rune.

the gold efficiency of AH is one of the most frustrating things to me as someone who really thinks gold efficiency as a system can be improved. but hell, there is less AH in the game than there was before, so maybe it is closer to 50 than it was before Glowing Mote. still not 50 tho

I mean that’s blatantly false though? 25 adaptive force is 25 ap OR 15 ad. That’s 1.25 amplifying tomes of ap (500g) OR 1.5 longswords of ad (525g). 10 ability haste is literally 500g.
So it would be 1000g worth of raw stats if ap, but Fiendish Codex gives the same stats (25ap + 10AH) and only costs 900g.
For AD, it’s 1025g of raw stats, slightly less than a caulfield’s warhammer (20ad, 10AH for 1100g).
Not even close to 1750g of stats.
how is it 1750?
25 AP = 500 gold
10 Ability Haste = 500 gold
Computation:
Amplifying Tome Costs 400 gold for 20 AP
so (25/20) * 400 = 500
Glowing Mote Costs 250 gold for 5 AH
so (10/5) * 250 = 500
for a total of 500 + 500 = 1000 gold
Honestly glowing mote is a pretty bad component, so the actual value it gives is prob even less than 1k.

@@jmgalloway99 To be fair, the average gold value of a minor rune is around 400-500 gold, so a minor rune giving 900 gold worth of stats is fair, considering you can't choose the stats and are basically forced to build mercs.

yup, any hybrid champ can easily stack it by the time they hit their 2-3 item spike, which is about when it becomes relevant anyway
For supports you can go:
Supp Item, Boots (t1), Ardent Censer, Wardstone (Or Locket)
I've been playing enchanters (Mostly Milio) with: First Strike, Cashback, Biscuits, Jack, Conditioning, Revitalize.
Conditioning + Wardstone (or Locket) makes you surprisingly tanky and Locket is good into Karthus or other AoE champs.

after going through the possible mistakes that could've lead to the result of 1750 gold value instead of the 1000 gold value it is, i think what happened is he calculated 25 adaptive force and 25 ability haste(25 adaptive force is 500 gold, 25 ability haste is 1250)

He can, but if nothing changes with the new items he has the problem that he cannot build them at the same time and early on enough to warrant this rune. You cannot build AP as 2nd item after starting with a tankitem, you cannot build a single tankitem if you're going AP etc. Just like shaco can build basically every item in the game, you cannot play hybrid Cho or hybrid shaco.
Katarina can just build random items and still function

Some korean pro are already abuse this rune with Varus Ap\Tank in the midlane. I saw someone build him with locket+ ninjas for ad/mercury for Ap and then typical ap build like nashor tooth with provided ap and attk speed. They also started off with doran blade.
Ezreal with Trinity force and muramana, with merc treads
Ezreal will find a way to get this rune nerfed, because he’s Ezreal and breaks everything.

Its actually the exact opposite of broken. To get to max stacks you have to play extremely odd builds or sacrifice a better item for a worse one just to stack it up. Even if you do stack it to full its just mid. Why? Because you get these stats super lategame. 10 AH lategame when you already have high AH is only a couple % more reduction. 25 AP lategame aint even noticeable.
The only champ I've found that can run it well without sacrificing their build and actually likes the stats is Talon. Ravenous Hydra, Opportunity, LDR, Zephyr, Sundered Sky and either Maw or Deaths Dance depending on enemy comp.
Katarina surprisingly doesn't work with this btw. Katarina doesn't need ability haste and to max stack it you actually need to sacrifice an item. Not worth.
i don’t think you realize this is on inspiration rune, which lets you stack onto building storm or eyeball collector to give even more ad/ap. that’s why it’s good atm. if you fully stack eyeball and jack you’ll get +55 ap and 10 ability haste for 2 runes. insanely good as long as you take it on champs that don’t have to build awkwardly to get it
@@alecdecowski3628 That last part is the problem. 99% of champs need to build awkwardly to stack it. Who else can build a normal build (other than Talon) while still maxing this rune? It's harder than it first seems.
I do like the rune when stacked though. Since its a small rune 25 Adaptive and 10 AH is actually quite nice. I always run it on Talon.
@@xdrago5602 only champ i found good on is tf. He can go shurelya, merc, zeal, doran ring and that would be 10. Obviously in the real game you would buy lichbane before zeal so the spike isnt as quick. But its a good stat and a normal build for tf.

Go Senna, get rank 1 Jack with just support item and either Dirk or tier 2 boots. Now you have the option to either finish building into Youmuu's or complete rank 2 Jack early with Mercs/Tabis and Zeal.
Champ that naturally gets a less than 2 item complete Jack of all Trades without hard inting your build.

On enchanters you can rush censor if your adc can use it and just build a mote (the 250g item that gives ability haste and builds into moonstone) with mercs and you get full JOAT with just an item boots and a 250 component ( and supp item lol)
Supports also have the wardstone

I use it only supportive tank Karma.
Using Frozen Heart, Spirit Visage, Moonstone, Redemption/Dawncore/any other support item, and any boots.
You get it fully stacked after you buy a Forbidden Idol after moonstone, and since your items are so cheap, that's when other people finish their 2nd or 3rd item. Or you can even skip visage and just buy the component item for the HP regen.
You could just say screw it and only get to 8 or 9 stacks on the rune.
The last few aspects give you 15 AP and 2 haste. That's not bad, but not worth compromising your build for.
And getting an extra 10 AP and 5 haste after your fist back is already really strong.
In brazil a volibear one trick made a build using nashor ,navori and,riftmaker along side with dorans blade and the boots you choose its really easy to stack the rune
It's a bad rune actually. If its meant to be early game, maybe; but early game champs would kucb rather take other runes and the best champion fir this Kai'sa also dowsnt wsnt it, cause getting to 10 is impossible without becoming just worse

Volibear rod of ages + flickerblade gets you there quickly too. Combine that with the potion rune and you have AP attackspeed voli with a bit of crit, no cooldowns and 2 free levels from ages and runes.
Realy strong atm.

you forgot about wardstone..... just take support item, free boots, you build your first item as usual and when you finish your quest, buy wardstone and you're good to go

Dorans Blade + Mercs + Collector/Deaths Dance has a ton already too,
HP, AD, LS, MS, MR, Tenacity. Crit, Lethality, Haste, Armor.
You can also get there a million other ways on 2-3 items + boots

It really isn't no idea where the guy got those gold numbers from, the rune is worth around 800 gold, not even close to 1750 gold. It's 25 adaptative not 25 ad.

I am going this rune with cash back in jungle. I am pretty sure that whenever you dont have long item cooldowns like zhonyas jack of all trades is just better lol. Even if you just get 5 Ap. There were champs that lost 2% winrate after they lost 3 damage on Q so 5 AP is probably more impact than you think.

OP early game rune that you need to abuse while you can.
ADC Doran's Blade into Boots Dagger into all-in after 3-wave cheater recall; try to snowball from there. Kai'sa could even build Manamune into AP from that position and get to 10. Varus same.
Reaching for 10 would just be gravy- don't ruin your builds for it.

I am pretty sure joa os bugged right now. Ie isnt giving 3 stacks and and opportunity %ms isn't giving it stacks when paired with boots. If they fix this adcs and sup assassins could have an easier time running the rune. For example, fixed ie (3), zeal (2), plated (2), dorans blade (2), dirk (1). Fixed Opportunity (3), sup item (3) * ifeel like gold generation should count cause according to wiki it is a stat type but for now its 3, mercs (3), random component. Some champs like voli and jax can do it too. Dorans blade(3), trinity (2), mercs (3), zeal (2) that goes into navori. Or dblade (3), trinity (2), mercs (3), glacial shroud (2). Ps number=stacks taking into account other items.
