  • Kim is one of the most disturbing songs I've ever listened to, and I really, really like it. But please remember to consume media with your brain turned on :-)

Lol i love first time reactions to Kim. Em uses his music as therapy. He really needed it back then. This was his love song to his girlfriend. Their relationship was a bit toxic. She's alive, lol. And yeah he knew how f'd up it was. If you listen or look at the lyrics you'll hear that he knows how crazy and out of control he makes himself out to be. You should listen to 97 Bonnie & Clyde after this, it ties up this story. Em also addresses fans who take his music too seriously in Stan on this same album. Always uncensored if you're reacting to Em (this is the uncensored version of Kim they completely cut out the 'four year old boy lying dead with a slit throat in your living room' line entirely on all edited) you can miss whole chunks of his most iconic songs like Stan & Sing For the Moment if they're censored and not even understand the meaning of the song. Really enjoyed your reaction, subscribing!

As fucked up as his earlier music is, I enjoy it more because it feels more emotionally connected to him then some of his later stuff, which feels a bit more pop-ish and is him just showing off his rapping ability, which will always still be impressive.

Agreed - This was also one of the more emotionally driven songs I've ever heard which is (in part) what made it so disturbing. But it's also been living rent free in my head since I recorded this video soooooo

It is in fact a concept song if you factor in that it’s actually a prequel to another song from his previous album. But it’s actually about his real ex at the time and mother of his daughter. He played it for her and apparently she chuckled and said “you’re crazy”. But it was a form of therapy for him. How he worked through a hard time. It’s dark but one would argue healthier than real abuse. I think it’s actually a brilliant piece of art but he regrets making it. I enjoyed the video. Nice work and thoughtful insight.

This is Eminem's only album I've enjoyed since it dropped. I loved this rough violent version of him releasing his frustration from the life he lead till this albums completion.

Good vid man I like your thinking process. I believe the “I hate you I love you” rage is the dangerous part to sink in if it goes that far. Yeah

The story that plays out in the song itself is fake but the song is based on real events in his life. Kim is his ex-wife. He caught her cheating in another man's home/bed. This song is retelling that moment when he caught her (but not the other part where he drags her off in a car and kills her in the woods, that part is made up) and what was going through his head at the time (I suppose).
Apparently Kim has cheated on him multiple times before but so has Eminem, so they are both at fault really. They were just two people in an abusive, toxic relationship that were not meant for each other. They only reason they stayed together was because they had a child together (Hailie). Eminem did genuinely love Kim, but he could not see that they were both too toxic for each other to be together. It seems both are to blame for the bad things that has happened in their relationship but there is a whole lot of "he-said-she-said" surrounding the whole situation so it's impossible to know what's REALLY true and what REALLY happened in their relationship.
Eminem made this song while they were still married.

    Some info about this song:
Kim is actually his ex wife, and at the time of this song being written and released, they were still married. They had a not very healthy relationship and had cheated on each other, and this song he recorded to vent about his feelings of her cheating on him. Disturbing yes.
    More disturbing info:
She once went to his convert and he had promised not to do this song. He performed it anyway, with a blowup doll mocking her, and she went home attempting suicide slicing her wrist. They divorced shortly after.
You really should do the "sequal" song Bad Husband which he recorded many years later, talking about their relationship.

His Relapse and Relapse refill album is pure horrorcore from start to end pretty much, serial killer/murder theme, its crazy cool how well he paints with his words, unmatched

As he's telling this story he's driving his car at the point you asked "what was that?" He's on a highway driving windows cracked or down with her in the car. I believe that's the visual, could be wrong but this was like a 2001 song brother. So don't take this with too much seriousness, he rapped abt the horrible ppl around him that literally created the motivation for him to develop this Eminem character. His new music is Slim Shady'ish with the Eminem label. Again, this is a very old song

Lol reacting to Em like Em didn’t do this back In the day. This is why Em said” have you ever been hated or discriminated against, I have I been protested and demonstrated against!”

Don't let Genz Z listen to this 20-year-old song.
They would try to cancel Eminem in heartbeat.
    Lol,
    Before social media

    Gay activities
Even the government try to shut down his music.
