    Interesting, I still have no idea what I'm doing on Pinterest, but my reasoning for filling out the alt text myself was to make it more accessible for visually impaired people. I had no idea, that this was something that helps in SEO as well! Thanks so much for this video, it's helped a lot to make things more clear and gave me lots of ideas on how to tackle marketing through it.

      Because it's that "floating text" for visually impaired people, is why Google "reads" it :) And knows what it's about, as Google's "robots" are also visually impaired :)

    • @MeyTribe
      @MeyTribe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, on Pinterest you set up boards, and they have sections. Like a category- with sub categories.
      So for example- you can make a board for printable coloring books, with sections for each book.
      OR- a board for home decor, with sections on types of decor.

    This is great, Mey, thank you. I'm just trying to start Pinterest for business. I was thinking about pinning planning tips for printable planners as non-competing pins before, but you gave me so many more ideas!! :D My one worry is if for the things I want to sell I only pin my own stuff, then some boards may have just 1-2 pins for a long time until I make some more products (if I make more in a certain category at all - I guess I should). This still holds me back a bit.

      I always thought that you can only create maybe 10 pens with one listing because you might get accused of spamming. Do you know how many times you can re-create a product from the same listing. Some say no more than ten. Since I sell greeting cards and I may have a set of four, I thought I was probably only limited to about 20 pins or so for that listing even when changing them up some.

    • @MeyTribe
      @MeyTribe  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should def combine the pins you create with pins from Pinterest itself !
      How to call your boards? That is totally based on what you upload there...
      If you are selling clipart I'd recommend making a board for each type of clipart style/theme.
      If you sell clipart, patterns, digital paper packs, fonts... make a board about each, and diversify the niche or theme within that board with sections.
      You can also re-pin pins talking about using these elements
      If your pinterest is about many things, and you want one board for your products- name that after the business, ONLY if the business contains the right keywords, as board names and section names are for SEO.
      Maybe the entire Pinterest account should be your business name ?

      Nope. I have never tried them with my Pinterest accounts so far. But I might start using them for the coloring pages website I am working on. If I do- I will keep you guys updated :)

      I've been using tailwind for the past one month to promote redbubble. It's good as it allows me to schedule all my pins without appearing spammy. But so far it did not bring any direct sales yet.

    I like your videos … but just a little critique: you take way too long to get into the main content of your videos

      Yeah, that happens a lot when you have ADHD,, FMS & a brain injury LOL also- this was a year ago, I was very new to filming... I think I'm a bit better at that these days. Do appreciate the critique, and I think I have gotten better in 13 months, though I probably am still slow to the point compared to other TH-camrs

    You don't have to be on Pinterest everyday. You can schedule Pins.

    • @MeyTribe
      @MeyTribe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Of course. Scheduling pins is always an option... Though you can't schedule re-pins from other users, which you need to do 50-70% of the time to get "good" with Pinterest's algorithm...

    • @Howmuchisenough247

      @@MeyTribe It's a common belief nowadays that the Pinterest algorithm now favours fresh Pins for self, not from repinning other users. What are your views on this?

      @@Howmuchisenough247 Wow, I wasn't even notified about this comment back (only see the comments when they are new, and came here cause someone commented yesterday, so sorry!)
      I haven't seen any major algorithm change like that, but I will def research Pinterest a bit more in the next few days to plan for next week's 2 big marketing videos.

    I find Pinterest confusing to use and get very little traffic from it.

    • @MeyTribe
      @MeyTribe  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How have you used it so far ?
      Getting traffic from Pinterest is a result of : Good keywords, good product, good pin design, and the behaviour inside the platform.
      With any social media we have problems with we can choose to either- learn it better, or just move on to another one :)

      @@MeyTribe I pin Redbubble items. I saw one of your TH-cam clips and have pinned other people's work and put more into keywords. I make very little out of POD and starting to look at affiliate marking. Think both will take time to build up.

      @@domarchie9558 there are various way to pin for redbubble promotion.. do you make your pins manually ? Do you use different mock-ups ? Or just pin from redbubble? Did you optimize your designs ? What kind of designs are they? Are these designs trending on google ?
      Affiliate marketing is amazing, but it’s more work than print on demand, and a lot more marketing :)

      @@MeyTribe that doesn't sound great I was hoping affiliate marketing would be easier. Still might try it. I pin straight from Redbubble to pinterest. So I will get a design and pin the tshirt. Then pin the phone cover. It hasn't been successful. Some designs do comeup in Google searches but a lot don't. Getting the right keyword can be a challenge.

      @@domarchie9558 pinning straight from redbubble is not recommended.. the mock-ups are worn out, and the dimensions are not what Pinterest likes. Maybe that’s why it’s not working for you...

    • @MeyTribe

      I don’t get it either, I never said that an account grows on its own. But spending several minutes a day, consistently, with good designs for pins, and good keywords- will help you get more visitors to your shop. It’s not magic, it’s a lot of hard work.
