Hey Reggie, great video! Personally I'm not a huge fan of gourmand, but its growing on me. Just wanted to let you know that your reviews are stellar! You and hiyro easily my favourite reviewers. Keep it up! O also, it would be great to see a summer video.
Great list! I do agree with most of them (the rest I haven't tested so can't say anything about it). How many sprays do you use with Dior Homme? No one ever said anything to me when I wore it (I use about 4~5 sprays)
Great list! I'm also partial to Mugler fragrances. I have always owed A*Men and I got Pure Malt a few weeks ago. PM is a incredible fragrance but it doesnt last long on my skin. I like to spray 3 sprays of PM and a spray of A*Men. I took your advice with that one and its working awesome! Keep the vids coming bro
Aquolina in my experience is a standalone cotton candy perfume.u can also use him as a sweetener for your vanilla, chocolate, cedar , rose or most of the fruity perfumes..I layer it with either perfumer's tea rose or ck one summer 2012...u will love aquolina if u love gourmands...wow its gr8 for the winter evenings and nights...both men and women get mesmerised by the sweetness..go for it!!
Another one worth checking out, if you like Blue Sugar, is V Valentino. It has a sweet cotton candy vibe, but somehow seems more mature than Blue Sugar. Thanks for sharing the list.
Epic list man!! Great hon mentions too!! Yohji homme is another great anise/licorice frag, very rare now though, Agree with blue sugar, i get a strong licorice in it and it lasts well over 12hrs on me, i picked up a few 50ml bottles for just 10 bucks each.
I share 6 bottles with you from your list, Wasnt expecting to see blue sugar there but was glad when I did. Got this for like £3/$7 last week for the 50ml. WIN!
Great list my friend. The only one that would of been on my list was Givenchy Play Intense. I know it was one of your honorable mentions, but for me, it is a top 5. I also agree with Pure Havane being a nicer fragrance then Pure Malt. Im enjoying your channel. Thanks
hmmm i sampled HM and didnt get that. I blindly am buying Korres pepper jasmine gaiaic wood. let me know if you heard anything about this or have smelled it. Thankyou.
According to Wikipedia and other reviewers. Gourmand are those fragrances that kinda smell like food in a good way. The one thing that comes into my mind is Eau de Baux by L'occitane, it smells like a pastrie or freshly baked cookies.
A*MEN definitely has been reformulated and I think everyone who loves the original scent should check it out. My advise, the bottles with silver/chrome finish are the reformulated weaker versions. 4 hrs max. No tar note. Starts off with caramel and dies down really quick.
First hint is the package, if it comes in silver package it's a new edition. Second hint is color of juice. There is a difference. At first I thought I was the only one having longevity and projection issues. I was on the Facebook fragrance community and found others who are having similar issues with new bottles. One of the guy contacted Macy store and confirmed that they started selling the reform starts from this year.
Summer video is on my agenda....I won't be doing full fledged seasons because in FL it's either hot or hotter. I love having great weather all the time but wish I could experience a year of all 4 seasons.
this may be a wierd question, but oh well..there are many gourmands that have a chocolate smell, are there any men's or even unisex fragances that have a strong white chocolate note?
Aventus is actually is my favorite of the Creed house, but I haven't delved into the niche market quite yet. Once I do, I will have both designer and niche vids.
CAN U FIND AN OLD BOTTLE OF THE ORIGINAL TIMBERLINE MEN'S COLOGNE AND OR AFTERSHAVE BY ENGLISH LEATHER, MADE BY "MEM" NOT THE NEW STUFF, AND TELL ME WHAT U THINK IS THE TOP NOTES, MIDDLE AND BOTTOM? i AM INTERESTED IN MAKING A COLOGNE THAT MIXES THE BEST TO MAKE A NEW COLOGNE FOR MEN, WISH ME LUCK!
Can you point me what Aquolina's Blue Sugar heads to?! I'm really interested in buying it but I'm also scared of the sugar... I might add that I totally love Black XS and I kinda hate Joop! Homme (I got both tho).
When I'm doing my testing, I remember the scents extremely well. But when I'm not, I may be using the other 100 colognes I own. But I will do my best to get my videos out right after testing. Just very difficult with my work schedule. Thanks though!
And your entitled to your opinion, but I will have to ask you to trust me when I say that I understand the extremely high level of quality put into most niche frags. But IMO the journey to the top of fragrances must start at the bottom to fully appreciate what you are encountering. I have multiple decants of Tom Ford, Serge Lutens, Bond, Amouge..etc. and have learned to appreciate each fragrance for their intended purpose, whether it be mainstream sales or elitist fragrance-heads.
+Xozzen nice where did you find it? I just purchased the new jpg ultra male. it smells really good like berries and something sweet. I don't like the way it dries. it smells like a girls perfume when it dries. or maybe I have to get use to it.
I don't like the ultra male very much, the fruity note is too biting and artificial for me. I found it to try at a local mall (many malls here in germany have rochas man), and bought it online some time for a good price.
I just got Pure Havane today actually. From what I've smelt so far, yup, Pure Havane smells nicer than Pure Malt lol. I may even consider selling my Pure Malt actually...
Jesus, finally I found somone that agrees with me. i just can't find anything that topples A*men. Mugler must have made a deal with the devil (or an angela...hmmm???) to come up with something so incredibly addictive and unique. Awesome list, sub'ed!
Some of these I don't believe to be gourmand. When I think gourmand, I think something food-like or desert like. I don't think that just because it has a cocoa note makes it gourmand. DHI has cocoa but I feel it is a floral musk. Some of these on your lists are fougeres or citruses.
the difference between a failure and a success man is accepting the feedback from the other. no one is perfect. that's why there is something called "feedback". because i respect him, that's why i give him suggestion. if i don't then i wouldn't even give a shjt. learn to see thing from both side dude.
Yep. I said it. Thierry Mugler's A*Men. Better get the old bottle because the new one is pretty much crap. It's not the same anymore...which is sad. Forgot to mention no projection after 1 or 2 hours. It's a shadow of it's former self.
A*men is just something else. I also enjoy taking my clothes off at the end of a long day and still smelling it's amazing dry down on the neck of my shirt. YUMMY!
They are re-released because they reformulated using cheaper products and are trying to make more money by riding on the fame of the first formula. I hate when fragrance-companies reformulates good fragrances to earn another cent per bottle sold !.
I absolutely disagree with this. You're the kind of person who goes directly to the end of videos, posts, threads, etc. just to find out the recap. By him doing this so called pause, which lasts on average less than 1 second, he provides us with the information that YOU are complaining about having to wait for. It also helps others immerse themselves into the video(s). During the sniff, you're waiting to form the description in your mind. Just like when you're done sniffing, you think about it
One thing i get annoyed from you is when you keep sniffing every single bottle you are showing us. i know you wear them all the time already, so could you please minimise the pausing, sniffing each bottle you are talking about? i respect your style, good review, but sniffing your bottle and pausing in all your clips for every single bottle is something that not cool! ^ ^ LOL
Just subscribed. Love your videos man - keep up the great work!
Just subscribed.. Dunno HOW I'm just seeing ya vids, love the unique top 10 categories, keep it up brah!!

This is a great list.I have most of your picks or have been considering most of them.Cheers!
I agree. Some of these fragrances I not too sure about classifying them as gourmands in my opinion
GREAT TOP TEN!!!!! this list is serious sir!!!
Awesome vid. Lolita Lempicka is my signature scent during October. It just screams "Halloween" in my opinion.
Thanks for another great list. How about doing your top 10 most versatile fragrances.
Hi, I'm brazilian, nice explanation it helpes me too much !!!!
Great list man!
very well presented. But go slowly and clearly on where to purchase these .
That is a Swiss Legend of mine. Great watch!
Another one worth checking out, if you like Blue Sugar, is V Valentino. It has a sweet cotton candy vibe, but somehow seems more mature than Blue Sugar. Thanks for sharing the list.
Epic list man!! Great hon mentions too!!

Very good list.

Versatile frag list....very interesting
A*MEN definitely has been reformulated and I think everyone who loves the original scent should check it out. My advise, the bottles with silver/chrome finish are the reformulated weaker versions. 4 hrs max. No tar note. Starts off with caramel and dies down really quick.
Really good video keep it up.
Completely agree with the top 3, I'd include givenchy pi, and givenchy irresistible in my top 10
Very good!
First hint is the package, if it comes in silver package it's a new edition. Second hint is color of juice. There is a difference. this may be a wierd question, but oh well..there are many gourmands that have a chocolate smell, are there any men's or even unisex fragances that have a strong white chocolate note?
Same 4-5 sprays...it really depends on the people, atmosphere and your personability when it comes to getting compliments.
Still compiling that list...definately one of the most difficult to test and re-test for average longevity.
You definitely caught my interest...
Aventus is actually is my favorite of the Creed house, but I haven't delved into the niche market quite yet. Once I do, I will have both designer and niche vids.
Hey, i really like your vids but you dont have a single fragrance of the house of CREED, why not? no Aventus or Original Santal?
Awesome review!

Have you ever checked out Thallium by Jacques evard? It reminds me of cotton candy, and it smells amazing!
Awesome review. You dont buy niche fragrances?
When I'm doing my testing, I remember the scents extremely well. But when I'm not, I may be using the other 100 colognes I own. But I will do my best to get my videos out right after testing. Just very difficult with my work schedule. Thanks though!
Nice video ! I agree with you... i need to know Aqualina anyway...:)
Fernando from Brazil!
I know....I just started wearing them. Great fragrances, would've made the list if I had more wear time.
And your entitled to your opinion, but I will have to ask you to trust me when I say that I understand the extremely high level of quality put into most niche frags. But IMO the journey to the top of fragrances must start at the bottom to fully appreciate what you are encountering. What kind of watch is that bro?
Agreed. A*Men is King in this category. I would even sneak in A*Men's Taste-Of-Fragrance in your list somewhere...
Closest to that smell to me would have to be hanae mori but it has lemons in the top notes.
I think it could have been a bad bottle. Because the longevity was so bad. Thanks for confirmation. I would get another bottle when this one runs out.
Where is Guerlain L'Instant De Guerlain (EDT or EDP) ??
I'm trying rochas man right now, it feels great to wear it
what does it really smell like? I made a list to look for at the mall and I couldn't not find it. and I didn't want to do a blind buy
It smells a bit like a creamy cappuccino and bakery with lavender. The more often I use it, the more often and more prominent I catch the lavender.
+Xozzen nice where did you find it? I just purchased the new jpg ultra male. it smells really good like berries and something sweet. I don't like the way it dries. it smells like a girls perfume when it dries. or maybe I have to get use to it.

+Xozzen ohhh I live in the u.s nice. I want to try love by kilian which is from France. I heard that one smells like marshmallows.
Blue Sugar..I love it...but its now expensive. Over $100.
Does anyone know where to get it for less than $100?

have u tried Hanae Mori Him?
What cologne would have musk, leather, pepper scents?
Burberry The Beat or Dior Fahrenheit
Alejandro Flores Definitely Fahrenheit
Thanks.
I just got Pure Havane today actually. From what I've smelt so far, yup, Pure Havane smells nicer than Pure Malt lol. I may even consider selling my Pure Malt actually...

Awesome list, sub'ed!
As soon as I get done with designers, serge lutens is definately a house that I will be doing allot of purchasing...Creed first though ;-)
no le male by jean paul gaultier?
the meaning is explained at the beginning of the video, u should watch..
Very synthetic smelling heavy Vanilla note which dominates this frag is loud but not refined enough for my tastes.
Amen is King!!
au masculine ... now u talking , u should have Versace Dreamer and the best of all foodie scents , Jacomo de Jacomo " Jacomo " ( the black bottle )
Some of these I don't believe to be gourmand. When I think gourmand, I think something food-like or desert like. I don't think that just because it has a cocoa note makes it gourmand. DHI has cocoa but I feel it is a floral musk. Some of these on your lists are fougeres or citruses.
Dude, try greg lauren + barneys by barneys new york!
if you like gourmands check out scents from Serge Lutens
I think my latest vid describes blue sugar very well, but I also don't like Black XS or Joop! ;-)
the difference between a failure and a success man is accepting the feedback from the other. no one is perfect. that's why there is something called "feedback". because i respect him, that's why i give him suggestion. if i don't then i wouldn't even give a shjt. learn to see thing from both side dude.

Bro 24 gold not in ur list.........?????????
try that jewel,,,,ul forget every gourmand fragrance..m sure
A*men pure malt, pure havane and the original, respectively.
A*men is just something else. I also enjoy taking my clothes off at the end of a long day and still smelling it's amazing dry down on the neck of my shirt. YUMMY!
animale animale ?
it;s just great but it has that just a little bit of oldness smell to it
They are re-released because they reformulated using cheaper products and are trying to make more money by riding on the fame of the first formula. I hate when fragrance-companies reformulates good fragrances to earn another cent per bottle sold !.
damn dude, let him do his thing, he is not disrespecting anyone. you are dramatic
Maybe animale animale should've made this list?
I absolutely disagree with this. You're the kind of person who goes directly to the end of videos, posts, threads, etc. just to find out the recap.

bond.9 new haarlem
A*men smells like something from a Hansel and Gretel fairy tale.
Hanae Mori on the other hand. Oh la la...
not the newly reformulated A*MEN. No top notes. No longevity.
In my opinion Chanel's Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme isn't a Gourmand.
^ ^ LOL
