    Dude,
Your honest appreciation for everything you do and everyone you work with or meet is what keeps me, and others, coming back.
Never stop being you, and thanks for always sharing with us.

Dude i feel that - remember those LA-610 channel strips I brought up like a decade ago? I learned how to dial a pre on those - bought them from the studio and i'll never let them go

Very underrated mic! It blew away some mics that was 4k that I’ve owned. I’m in the market for a nice used one just to have. Such a great mic not just for the money but it blew tf51 away!

Got one a few months ago for a project and it's so killer on vocals.

@@RecordingStudioLoser totally and quite the bargain on the used market. I paid 1k CAN (720 USD) for mine and it feels like I robbed the poor guy.

To echo your relatability and how genuine you are is the best part of this channel. My first REALLY nice mics were Vanguards. I bought a pair of V1s and a V44s and they started going on absolutely everything and I still use them on absolutely everything. Those mics absolutely did change my life and shape my career, so when I finally got to meet Derek at NAMM it just felt so fucking good man. I definitely cried with you in this video, thank you for being you and continuing to be an inspiration to myself and all of us fellow losers watching your channel. Cheers brotha 🍻

One of the things that drew me to the channel in the beginning was your relatability. I remember your past vids mentioning the CV4 and thinking it was so cool because this is my exact relationship with this mic. My first "big boy" mic for everything, and it's still in use today. Love it.

I completely understand how you feel. For me it was a KSM44... Unfortunately I found myself in a position where I had to sell it. It took a lot, but I just wasn't using it any more. That said, I completely understand the sentiment.

I’m so happy your schedules aligned! We spoke about this a couple of months ago but I never heard how it worked out. 👍

Great story! I stumbled on to an AKG C 414 B-ULS early on. I learned so much using that mic. Thanks for your content.

What is the name of the mic? No matter how many times you said it, I couldn't understand what you were saying. Might have been a good idea to put the name on the screen.

Oh I know. But pronouncing it wrong for years is hard to turn on a dime.
