Hello Caroline! Laura from Florida here! I practiced your recent "Merit" bronzer tutorial and went grocery shopping. An elegant gentleman looked at me and told me I looked beautiful. Thanks for helping this 61 year old learn new techniques!!
Hello Caroline! Think I may one of the very few faired skinned mature English women out there who doesn’t use bronzer and actually never have, just not for me. But, I so enjoy watching you and listening to your expertise, whatever the content! Thank you for all you do ❤
I don’t use bronzer either and never have at 52. I’ve tried a few times over the years, but they all look weird on me (orange, yellow, muddy etc). I’m ultra pale Scottish with a very cool pink undertone and I don’t get a golden glow in the sun - I am red, sweaty/flushed and prickly heat😂. I’m the one slathered in spf hiding in the shade with people asking when I come back “did you go?”😂.
Also mature and fair skinned. Just can’t get on with bronzer - always feel I need something ‘pinker’. But I love these videos, I always learn something and sooo relaxing
@@juliedubberley1192 oh gosh thank you I had to keep telling myself just imagine you are speaking to your amazing followers that seemed to calm me down as I know you guys would have my back 🫶🏼
Thanks for this, Caroline! I found this SO helpful in demystifying the various bronzers. I didn’t quite get that you shouldn’t use the highlight bronzers to sculpt! Also to your question about the blushes, I personally would LOVE you to do a thing once in a while where you try on all the colors. I don’t find that boring at all. In fact I have often tried to find videos where that is done when I’m trying to buy something specific but most people don’t do a great job at showing them, whereas I’m sure you would. For example I’ve bought Merit eyeshadows and Violette Bisou Balms (both after seeing them on your channel!) but for the life of me could not decide which color was best. I find it very hard to tell from the photos on the sites because who knows what kind of light is being used. Anyway, would love that kind of content from you!!!
I think bronzer is the hardest product to work with. Probably because it’s easy to go overboard, many times my head goes “maybe a little more, yes, just a bit more, yes, oh no, yikes, I used too much” 😄
I'm glad you said to put face powder on before powder bronzer, I see so many TH-camrs putting powder bronzer and blush straight over foundation. I've always put powder on first so it blends properly
Thank you, Caroline! Love seeing your techniques with bronzer, it really does bring my skin together like you said. I think it's true that sometimes we can't see ourselves and trying things out of our comfort zone can wake us up, lol
Really helpful video, Caroline. I keep buying bronzer and then failing to use as not sure of proper technique. Have lots to try now :). Can I please ask which brush you used to blend in the concealer at the end of the video? Thank you.
Thanks. I feel more confident using bronzer now. Lots of great information. Please make more videos like this. Great that you show how to correct and improve.
Got my coffee and ready to be bronzed with you ❤❤❤😂😂 I recently bought the new Armani bronzer and it’s so gorgeous, better than anything I’ve tried. I’ve been putting a sweep of bronzer under my eyes (saw it in a video) and it stopped my eyes looking so sunken. Even my husband said I looked well rested that day 😂 by the way loved seeing you on This Morning, lots of us sent love in the comments I saw ❤
@@LouisaDD hello, it’s just a sweep under the actual eye and over the nose after I’ve done a little concealer and powder. The Armani one has a teeny tiny sheen to it so it works well. I use shade 100 and it really is exceptional. I think it’s becoming a bit of a thing as I’ve seen other creators do it. I have deep set eyes and it helps bring them a bit forward. I also have a heavy lower third of my face and it adds a visual break.

Utterly brilliant Caroline. Most helpful bronzer masterclass I’ve seen and I’ve watched a few. Did not realise that my skin type being dry meant cream would work better. Learnt heaps - so many other tips too. Thank you from NZ❤
Absolutely, some days after I put on my face, I’ll look in the mirror and think “WOW! I feel great!” And some days it’s like… “idk… do I like this or not?!” And really, the makeup isn’t that different🤷♀️ and idk WHY that is! So, I see your point about how it makes you “feel”.❤ I’ve been looking at those Hourglass liquid blushes… I’m glad you used them! I think I’m going to try one and see what I think❤❤
Thanks for that, you look very lovely. I have the Victoria Beckham bronzer which I have to admit I ridiculously bought for the packaging, so it just sits there looking very nice like an ornament, maybe I'll start using it after this. xxx
👏👏👏 Really lovely tutorial. I'm in the Florida heat all day. This is my favorite thing to do for everyday look. I have to knock back the red on cheeks, chin & spots. But a bronzer application & I'm done.
Hi Caroline. This was excellent. It showed me that all this while Ive been using the wrong kind of brushes when i use cream/powder bronzer...explains a lot lol. My favourite powder bronzer is the old classic Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer. Not always easy to find these days but I love it. Of course my cream bronzer is the expensive Chanel Cream Bronzer. However, although its expensive, they give you such a big wack of product that it lasts for absolute ages so works out quite reasonable pricewise. Perhaps you could continue with the masterclass theme and do one on brushes and the best for what use...god knows Im sure Im not the only one using the wrong brushes! Have a fabulous week ahead xx
Afternoon Caroline Love the way you went into detail of how to apply bronzer we all tend to just pop it on & not think what we’re doing See you next week take care ❤
What a fantastic masterclass on bronzer. Explained everything beautifully, love the tips on brushes and pans. It's second nature to you, but not all of us! Looking forward to your range of brushes one day. PS. perhaps just a masterclass on highlighter ( just above bronzer?) Thanks so much
Dark Caroline, thanks for sharing your expertise and sunny disposition! I so enjoy your content. I'm about to turn 50 and have difficulties with mascara because of slightly drooping eye lids. I tend to have to use a regular mascara for the lift and fanning out and then have to add a tubing mascara over it, especially to coat the top of the lashes so the mascara doesn't transfer to the lid. Obviously time consuming and can make the lashes too clumpy! I don't have especially greasy skin or lids. Tubing mascaras tend to not give the full and lash-licious effect I'd like. Waterproof ones also have been disappointing. Any advice or new better products to recommend? Thanks ever so much!

The rare beauty bronzer just looks fabulous on you, I think it's the best one as far as what the camera is showing. That is one of my rare purchased products, no pun intended. I bought the make up by Mario soft sculpting skin enhancer a few months ago and absolutely love that one as well. I have the Merit stick bronzer in two colours and a number of powder bronzers - but even after years I have used none of them as it’s such a change from the pale yet red and freckled canvas I’m working with (feels like fighting it most of the time, to be honest 😂). After seeing this though, I’m going to give it a go using your application advice - and wait till it’s all complete until I make a judgement on it. Going to try the cream first as I loved that finish on you, and it looks less scary. Great video, and now I’m off to find your This Morning debut folks in the comments are raving about! 😊. Woohoo! Great tips, as always! BTW have you tried the Elf putty bronzer? Comes in matte and shimmer and really great texture (and price of course). xx
Thanks for doing bronzer I have no idea when or how to wear it so glad to be watching this. One thing is tho that my skin is different in the heat and I struggle to know what to use?
Hi Caroline, I love bronzer, sometimes I lightly put it all over my face like a fake tan. The cream ones looked nice but the powders looked patchy, sorry (might just be on camera). It's quite tricky to select the right shade of bronzer, I can never decide if redder or browner shades suit me. Thank you for your videos x
Oh Caroline, soooo many tips and directions on how to, correctly, apply an often misused step in makeup application. For me, personally, I prefer cream bronzers and blushers. I am so appreciative of all the advice you give us and especially, how to correct mistakes instead of washing my whole face clean and starting over😊. My son is getting married. I have my complete outfit so now I must practice, practice, practice applying my makeup so that I can get it right. I have saved this video so that I can easily find it for instruction😅. The wedding may well be in Italy so I am fretting terribly about how to keep makeup from melting away in the heat. Not a good look for the Mother-of-the-Groom😂I don’t suppose you do Skype appointments😕😂. Thank you again for a wonderful morning of advice and laughs. Sending 💕
Yes to hourglass. Great video as usual. What are your thoughts on the Guerlain healthy glow bronzer are they best for winter or ok with a little on cheekbone?
Yes, you should. Start at the perimeter of your face and go inwards, you will get a naturally faded look. Don't use a dark bronzer if you're white. You're aiming for a natural sun-kissed look. Don't put cream bronzer on top of powder your makeup will slide and it will look patchy. If you want a natural facelift place your blush at the high point and don't go past the corner of your eye. Try it, it's an amazing makeup trick.
Definitely prefer there Kosas. I struggle with shades of bronzer but love the vid and will look at the Kosas (possibly the Guxcci) :) thank you - I love Speed Beauty concept and name
Hello, I am a new subscriber. Thank you for doing this video! It is the most informative video I have seen regarding application of bronzers. Being raised and living in South Florida, US, I take my bronzers seriously. Your technique and application are right on point. I was wondering if you have tried the RMS bronzers? They are effortless and apply beautifully. They are my go to bronzers. I enjoyed your sense of humor and sense of self. It’s so refreshing to see on this channel!
If you start at the perimeter of your face pressing the bronzer going inwards that's how you get a natural faded look. If you want a natural facelift don't go past the corner of your eye when using blush, place your blush at the high point of your face. It gives you a natural facelift. I put it on the high point of my cheekbone.

I find powder bronzer just looks unnatural on me, I love Chanel Les Beiges and also Iconic London which are so much easier to use for a subtle glow. I also have an Hourglass bronzer but I find it a little sparkly.
Very pale skinned, burn really easily and when had tanned face as teenager/20’s face just looked like I’d rolled in dirt!! therefore have never tried bronzer, but might give it a whirl!

Sending 💕
@@franingram17 ummm I might start to do this good idea
@@franingram17 ohhh and congratulations ❤️❤️❤️
Hi 👋 saw you on this morning show 🎉 I love your style ❤ hi from US
Yes to hourglass. Great video as usual. What are your thoughts on the Guerlain healthy glow bronzer are they best for winter or ok with a little on cheekbone?
Caroline should you wear bronzer where the sun naturally hits your face? Love your channel.
Hello,
I am a new subscriber.
Great video ... less is definitely more with bronzers! 😅
This is so helpful, thank you!
Loved This! Thank you!!!
Great tips, thx! Can you recc a cheaper foundation similar to the Hourglass seamless finish foundation brush? Enjoying your video’s from the US.😊
Caroline can you please help?! Which Bronze Goddess perfume type is it? There’s several different versions 🤷♀️😬🤣
The beauty pie cream bronzer was limited edition and you can’t get it any more 😢
Loving Jones Road Dusty Rose Bronzer for us pale girlies
I am so pale (redhead) that bronzers have always scared me but if I can find the courage, I will know what will work for me. Thank you!
I didn't understand or maybe I didn't hear but you bronze first then foundation or opposite? I've never tried bronzer and would like to.
Seattle, Saturday, 9am: Wakes up after a bad night of pain, don’t want go get up or move. But wait, it’s Saturday! Caroline! Gets up, makes coffee, comes back to bed, ready!
@@florindalucero3236 ooooh wow I’m so lucky to have such ❤️
How did you know how I put my bronzer on 😅😅😅
Im from spain, i Lóve how youvexolain
I find powder bronzer just looks unnatural on me, I love Chanel Les Beiges and also Iconic London which are so much easier to use for a subtle glow. I also have an Hourglass bronzer but I find it a little sparkly.
Very pale skinned, burn really easily and when had tanned face as teenager/20’s face just looked like I’d rolled in dirt!! therefore have never tried bronzer, but might give it a whirl!
😎🌞
Could call ur channel Elevated Beauty
👏👏👏👏👏👏😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
“Speed beauty”? This video is 30 min long. I hesitated clicking. 😊
Love watching your videos, but I don't like bronzer.
The first brush gave a bad application. The hourglass brush was much better.
