I loved this tutorial! A good example of a true professional MUA doing the teaching. Thanks especially for the tip about Mac powder foundation for redness around the nose! You. Are. The. Best. 😘😘😘
Thank you Caroline, you absolute sweetheart! This is *exactly* what I needed to watch and I've learned so much. I will take away the fact that I can use different products and application techniques for my cheeks, nose and chin where my redness and broken veins are. You've taught me to see my face as zones and then pull the whole look together with colour tones. I use 'Loyal' by Hourglass, it just seems to lift and goes with any look. I'm with your Mum for Press and Glow, it's the only exfoliator I can use on my reactive and over-sensitive skin. I'm really grateful for this going back to basics video. As in life, sometimes a reminder of the simple things are all we need. X
I agree; Caroline is unique and a sweetheart. She is talented and a fantastic teacher. She always makes me laugh, too. If I am sad or down, I jump online to watch one of Caroline's brilliant videos, "films", and smile inside and out. I had to laugh for a minute, as I thought Caroline's. Mum's favourite exfoliator was Press and Go. As it went home with her Mum. Oh, it is Press and Glow. I, too, have sensitive skin, and I will give it a whirl. I have learnt so much from Caroline, a genuine and generous soul. I love her too xx.
Morning Caroline 👋🏻 Thank you for this video. Sometimes the simple looks are the most affective. You look flawless! I really need to start taking my time with my makeup instead of either rushing it or not bothering. It's a mindset thing... Feelings of guilt for taking the time to feel better with my looks. Anyway... Have a fabulous weekend and week ahead xx
I watched this video all the way through and then I watched it again while doing my makeup (had to substitute because I don’t have the same products) and I am so thrilled with how my makeup turned out!!! Absolutely gorgeous!! I love what you said about the powder and putting it on with a small brush!! Thank you!!
It just goes to show that the colour code theory works because I was thinking to myself how bright and radiant your skin looks as it always does but the jumper just elevates it! I’ve gifted my mum to a consultation with the colour code company for a birthday/retirement present thanks to your video you did with your friend.
Morning Caroline love Saturday watching your videos so interesting When you mum has time it would be nice for you to do her makeup for the autumn 🍂 see you next weekend take care ♥️
Looking lovely there CB! Always gratifying when you use products I love too….the Hourglass foundation is expensive but lasted me all year so worth it….
Brilliant tips, thank you. ❤ I also love a lip and cheek combo and a bronzer on the eye look. You look fabulous and I love the jumper too. Have a good week. 😊
Can't wait to try my blush in a different spot, loyal is gorgeous. As are you Caroline! The sweater is beautiful...wonder if I could buy it in the US? Thanks for all your gentle caring delivery. Shoulders back, beautiful face of freshness.. onward!
Hi Caroline thanks for, yet again, another fantastic and informative video. This sort of video is personally my favourite kind: giving us professional tips on how to look our best but for an everyday, basic natural look. As always, so many great tips on products too! I’m going to try the Inkey lip treatment and give my sons the Bro Mask, that’ll be interesting! Very best wishes to you xx
The Inkey List lip balm is fantastic! I've tried many lip balms in the past year and most of them were disappointing. I highly recommend the Inkey List lip balm👍
Brilliant so informative Caroline and helpful.Think I'm going to try the Mac powder I never have used a powder/ foundation but think I will find it useful thanks for all tips and chats have a great week xx❤
I love all your tips, and you are so cozy to listen to. I’ve learned so much. I’ve got a more playful attitude with makeup after watching you. So thank you. Can I ask if you can do a tutorial on eye bags? I inherited my wonderful Dad’s eye bags. I think it’s the fat pads that slipped. I’ve seen tutorials to help where you push concealer or a colour corrector into the circle under the eye bag and I’ve had limited success with that. I’m sure I’m not alone. Please help! Again, many thanks.
The silicone stick looks like the answer I need for my forehead. I'm older (76) and the skin on my forehead is so thin and tight, and never seems to feel moisturized, and my foundation "catches" as I try to blend it in. I think this might help. I wear a fringe, so sometimes I just don't bother with foundation under them! I'm also having a problem with my foundation pilling since changing my serum/moisturizer. I've tried three different foundations, tried eliminating the serum, changing to a different serum, but several times this week I have had to start all over again, and only use a light moisturizer (Kiehls) which I happened to have as a sample. I also tried fingers, a brush, a sponge. I use all Beauty Pie skin care and the regime I changed to is one they recommended when I mentioned that the moisturizer I had been using (before the change) was simply sitting on top of my skin and never seem to be absorbed. That said - at least my foundation went on without pilling! Any suggestions? This is getting expensive!
After watching your previous video I bought glossier aPHA soln and I think it actually does work. Might have to buy the bro mask for a fun xmas pressie
Hi Caroline. I had a nightshift, just got up and sat down with a cup of tea and a new CB video. It makes life much better! I prefer a fluffy brush as well, but some brands use flat brushes with their foundations (Lisa Eldridge). When do you use those brushes? Just ordered Vieve modern powder after you recommended it. Unfortunately it arrived broken, will get a replacement. But love that powder. And waiting for the VB mascara. Thanks for the tips. 😊
Hello Caroline, love your videos! Would you be able to do one on topic of colour correctors please? I'm blonde with quite similar skin tone to yourself. I have a dark blue vein about 2 inches under one eye that drives me mad..... please help . Thought other people would also benefit on colour corrector tutorial as nobody is perfect. Thankyou xx ❤
Hi Caroline, I love everything skin, makeup, your mum and your friend that does colour theory. Please spoil us with perhaps a holiday make-up with your mum and colour palette with your friend? Many thanks!! ❤😘😘😘
This was really helpful. I don’t have the hourglass but I have the Lisa Eldridge and I put it on the same way. My biggest issue is covering my large pores with primer before putting the foundation otherwise it just sits in the pores like polka dots! I’m going to try that powder foundation trick around my nose too. I don’t have the Mac one but I have a good L’Oréal 💗🙏
That was absolutely brilliant!! Thanks Caroline. A refresher is always gratefully recieved as sometimes we get stuck in a rut and start just slapping it on without realizing that there really is an art to applying makeup. Thank you for sharing your expertise with us. Ive just put in an order for that Rare Beauty Luminizer as it looked gorgeous. To be honest Ive always steered clear of highlighter type things as being slightly older I didnt want to end up doing the whole mutton/lamb scenario! Im getting more adventurous as I get older. I have one tip for lip balm thats a guarantee....good old Vaseline. Whack it on every night before bed and it really helps with hydration on the lips. Have a great week ahead x
Hello Caroline, I don't like liquid exfoliants, I feel like I'm not cleaning my skin, it's purely psychological but hey, I prefer the classic exfoliator. I really like how the foundation looks on your skin. Thank you for this video🌺🌺🌺
My makeup never, ever stays on…. I watched this video and although I don’t have the same products I tried to copy how you applied everything and unbelievably I still have foundation on at tea time!!! … amazing, thank you Caroline 😊 … (now I just need you to show me how to keep eyeshadow on! Mine disappears literally in minutes 🙄) xx
Hi Caroline I think the skin looks great but my super dry skin needs something more hydrating as a foundation than the hourglass 😂. I tried it on counter and within an hour it was a dry cakey mess (even over their oily primer). My current favourite is the Givenchy glow btw. I use the Laura Gellor balance n brighten for extra coverage around my nose in a very similar way. I have rosacea and eczema so redness tends to break through even with green colour corrector underneath during the day or evening. I only use concealer at the inner corner of my eyes and avoid using too much- otherwise it sits in lines on my 51 year old undereye 😂. Best wishes x
Caroline, Such great techniques & I needed some new advice as my skin is changing. I've always taken good care of my skin, but as I age it has gone from normal to dry. On every channel I watch it's difficult to find the perfect foundation & techniques as it seems everyone uses self tanner & I don't. I am very pale and I know I am a cool undertone, but even those who are pale seem to use yellow based foundation. That is what I am finding confusing. Am I going to light? I do use bronzer and blush to put color back. Any tips on my dilemma? Thank you!
Can you advise please which colour MAC powder+ you’ve used? We are very similar in skin tone and colour. I so enjoy watching your videos, it’s always great to see your looks! I bought the Merit green eye colour after seeing you demo it…. And it’s a firm favourite. Thank you x
Thank you for this really great tutorial! Wonderful content as always. I wanted to ask about the red on your nose you mentioned and have heard you talk about before. I have a lot of broken capillaries around my nose that I believe have actually gotten worse from extractions during facials, along with hormonal reasons. I went to the derm and they said there are lasers that help. Curious what you think of that and if you’ve ever tried or considered a laser for the redness?
Hi Caroline, could you please be so kind and tell me the colour of the MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. I also love this product, but I still have trouble finding the right shade. Most of the time my foundation colours match yours. I look forward to a new video from you and a cup of coffee every Saturday morning. You are one of the best inspirations on youtube for me. Thank you ❤️ Greetings from Munich, Germany
Hi Caroline, I want to get my hands on the Tacha stick, nadine baggot also raved about it, but I cannot find it on the tatcha website? Your link takes me to a serum with a pump, not the solid stick I’m wanting, please help!
Caroline I do enjoy your recommendations but it’s a big but your always recommending very expensive or brands that even if your relatively into skincare and makeup never heard of,and in general when you do look it up breath deeply because whoa the cost of the items are something else.u
I loved this ‘focus on creating beautiful skin’ video.
The Hourglass is sooo pretty on you. I will have to try this one!
Thank you Caroline. I enjoyed all of your makeup tips. Have a lovely week.
Another great vlog caroline.
Always look forward to seeing you with all your beauty knowledge.
I loved this tutorial! A good example of a true professional MUA doing the teaching. Thanks especially for the tip about Mac powder foundation for redness around the nose! You. Are. The. Best. 😘😘😘
I love all your videos but this one made me think that it may be time to rethink some of my choices! thank you!

This looks great - thanks for the tips - I may have to save this one ❤ PS love that your mum pinches your stuff 😂❤
I so enjoy your masterful yet humble videos.
Loved the subtle soft look all over today Caroline 🎉 this is what I really like 👍

My favourite kind of tutorial :-) I don't wear a lot of make up and these encourage me to wear the make up I do have with confidence.
Morning Caroline love Saturday watching your videos so interesting

Yes please make up time for mum 🥰

Updated look to wear with denim please. Love your masterclasses.

Just added the Hourglass foundation to my cart. It looks divine on you. I love a more natural look. Thank you.

Thank you for an incredibly helpful video, I will have a play this week
Thank you. Makeup preparation information is very helpful to me.

what are your thoughts on trinny’s new foundation ? 🤔

She did the whole colour matching with a friend of hers who's a specialist in that area, a few months back.
I love everything you do for us. You are so real and fun 💜

Hello Caroline! I LOVE THIS ❣️ it's me 95% of the time.
And your mum nicking your exfolic8 😆 fabulous moment.

Hi Caroline, I want to get my hands on the Tacha stick, nadine baggot also raved about it, but I cannot find it on the tatcha website? Your link takes me to a serum with a pump, not the solid stick I’m wanting, please help!
What drugstore or Amazon products do you recommend for exfoliating and masking? Or maybe from Beauty Pie?
I'm always worried about using a highlighter as I feel it accentuates my line and wrinkles around my eyes? Maybe I'm using the wrong one or too much??
Wonderful!
Otis code didn't work for me 😢
My skin never looks dry until i apply makeup. It looks flaky and makes my pores look huge
Same here 😅
Haven't watched yet just wanted to show some early comment ❤❤❤❤
Your friend Anna I meant to say xxx
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

They are so dangerous, why don’t you have that large mole removed?
