When Megatron shows up with an army disguised as cargo, Orion Tries to stop his attack and is gunned down, along with his friends. Due to the Aerialbots (a newly built Combiner Team brought to life using the key to Vector Sigma) being sent back in time using a prototype time machine, they find Orion Pax and take him to an old Cybertronian Named Alpha Trion. Hours later, Alpha Trion emerges and introduces the upgraded 'bot as Optimus Prime. Alpha Trion then makes plans to rebuild Ariel into Elita-1. It is speculated that Dion became Ultra Magnus.
I heard that, but I heard he was the only one to ever beat Megatron. I wonder which is true because that would indicate he is stronger than Megatron. Pretty wild stuff.
@@ReactZones he was called Optimus and received the Prime title after that specific mission, but the sequel game has audio logs that do refer to him as Orion Pax and even tell the same story Ratchet told about Orion and Megatronus' history
@ReactZones someone probably made a story summary on YT,. Unfortunately, even if you wanted to play it, War for Cybertron was removed from all online stores years ago, the only way to play it would be to own an original disk of the game for the old consoles or pirate it. (I think some keys still exists but they're pretty expensive) Fall of Cybertron has a few keys left on Amazon but that's about it
It's briefly mentioned in the Aligned continuity (Transformers Prime belongs to this category) that Optimus is the thirteenth Prime, the Prime of Rebirth and Reincarnation. When the first Cybertronians were coming out of the Well of AllSparks, Optimus alone lf the thirteen Primes chose to be reborn as an ordinary Cybertronian in order to understand them and their needs better, emerging as Orion Pax. Beforehand, he'd asked Alpha Trion to erase his name from the Iacon records. When he was given the Matrix of Leadership, he regained all memories of his years as a Prime.
Those few seconds of Optimus and Megatron fighting back to back is still one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen from the TF franchise. Wish we had more of it.
In G1 Optimus was Orion Pax, but he was a dock worker. In Dreamwave's Comics he was called Optronix and was a data archivist. So this takes the now more common Pre-Prime monkiker of Orion Pax, and attributes the a data archivist history to him.
I've heard the name of both. Probably when I was looking into G1 a bit and just from being around the franchise for so long. Only Vector Sigma sort of got pushed to the side for the Primus concept. Luckily, it's still in the lore.

7:08 it's neither, I assume you're already at least an episode ahead (if not idk if you want to know this) - Vector Sigma is a (mythical) supercomputer on Cybertron that performs a multitude of different functions depending on the continuity. For example, one of its major purposes is to function as Primus' "brain" or "processor," while Primus himself stays in slumber as to not attract the attention of Unicron (which is why it's considered mythical, as it can perform actions that seem impossibly complex, considering it's basically just Primus as a computer). It's a good workaround for Primus to somewhat operate while avoiding his counterpart who could detect him by simply being awake.
First of all, I love the amount of lore in this episode especially during the flashback which just ties the past and present together. Secondly, goddamn soundwave OP! It's always the quiet ones bro. Thirdly, *Unicron will return*
Actually Primus is not the first Prime. He is more the Transformers' God that created the Transformers and become the very planet they were born in. The 13 Primes were created by him to battle Unicron, his darker counterpart, since both Primus and Unicron are like both sides of a coin. Good and Evil, Light and Dark, they are equally match and the scales barely tipped on neither side. So to ensure that his evil counterpart won't corrupt a life of the universe, Primus created the original 13 Primes to give them an edge to defeat the Chaos Bringer, to which they succeeded and cast him out into the void of space. In short, Primus was the God not the 1st Prime. That title goes to Prima, the 1st Prime created by Primus and is the leader of the 13.
I heard that's true. I want to check out G1 content and react to the movies and TV show. Might end up being Patreon only because of how old it is, though.
So in G1 Megatron started the war and shot Orion Pax autobots took him to Alpha Trion (if i remember correctly) and he rebuilt him into Optimus Prime thats G1 story, in War for Cybertron lore Optimus got the matrix by going to the core of Cybertron where Primus bestowed the matrix upon him. Also Vector Sigma is the repository of knowledge of the primes think of it as a supercomputer that the matrix uses for backup like you backup files on a pc
For a more deeper lore: Since the beginning of the Cybertronian History and the birth of the Transformers, every Cybertronian was put under a caste system on what specific job or roles they will be put in based in their alt mode or program, though the system itself is unjust and corrupted by higher ups. Megatron was once a miner and was poorly mistreated till rise up as a gladiator in the arena to proof his strength and devotion to change the corrupt system where all Cybertronians should be treated as equals, thus he christened himself as Megatronus, after one of the 13 Primes which you may know him as The Fallen. Like what Ratchet said, Orion Pax became inspired by Megatron's desire for change and the charisma and determination behind it. So they both become brother's in hopes in finding the solution. But when the time come to propose their ideas to the counsel, Megatron plans to overthrow the system through brute force and bring orderband equality to Cybertron with an iron fist, given the fact that he has experienced so many hardships and mistreatment figured he they should do the same to the system that had wronged them. However, Orion did not believe that violence and force can be the solution to the problem, so he propose that the system can be reform and change peacefully with all Cybertronians still being treated as equals. Thus, the counsel agreed with Orion's idea and elected him as the new Prime to change Cybertron for the better. Unfortunately, Megatron saw this as an act of betrayal by the one he once called as a brother. Driven by anger, rage, rejection and betrayal, Megatron then sought to take matters into his own hands thus founded the Decepticons and started the civil war. This lore is further illustrated in the War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron games, since both and the Prime series are said to be part of the Aligned continuity.
The major thing about the Aligned continuity is it took a LOT of material from all of the series that came before it - G1, Beast Era, Robots in Disguise, the Unicron Trilogy, the Bayverse, and Animated - and combined and refined them into a definitive base that would set the stage and story for all series and toylines hat would follow. Unfortunately it didn't quite pan out as hoped, but for the most part all of the concepts and characterizations Aligned did have been used since. I highly recommend Chris McFeely's The Basics series, it gives excellent overviews on the entire franchise and its myriad of characters, continuities, technologies, concepts, etc.
What I don’t like against the backdrop of the lore of the past of Megatron and Optimus... is that in the end the Decepticons are just “bloody fighters for justice”, that is, there is not a single reason why they are simply evil and insensitive.. Anyway, enjoy the hot finale and look forward to the continuation :D
I thought they're that way due to their life experiences. Some were subjugated and forced to work the mines as worker bots. That oppression can take a toll. Especially in their case since they live for so long. Unless that's not in this continuity.
@@ReactZones Sounds logical, but anyway... they don't even feel anything for other Decepticons. I wonder how old Knockout is and how he got involved with this company XD
@@ReactZones Yea, there are books that explain this in the aligned continuity, which is was Prime is in. It was essentially a battle of politics at that point.
