oh she's gotten mad before, she saves it for those who deserve it. my first thought was Raggedy Ann in Cookie Land when she smacks a goblin with a paddle for trying to eat the living cookie people!
If you haven't seen it the 1977 full length film Raggedy Ann and Andy is on here. The live action scenes at the beginning and end were shot in NJ. The little girl still lives in the area and is friends with a lady I know. Only movie she did.
"...And you know what? I think I'm going to like goodness better than I liked badness. But, you know? I don't think anybody can say that for sure unless he's tried both." Boys and girls, you heard the wolf: it's time to try badness!
If the owners of Raggedy Ann & Andy decides to bring them back in a new era I hope they keep some elements from the classics and try to spice things up without making a downgrade from it formal self
Magnificent job of restoring this oft overlooked Christmas classic as we can now finally see the detail in the animation without that awful oversaturated color that left previous versions so blurry and even ugly at times. Thank you so very much and I hope your restoration efforts continue on helping old classics like Raggedy Ann & Andy Halloween special, A Very Merry Cricket and the original Grinch special- all Chuck Jones holiday gems that definitely need some restoration efforts. Merry Christmas.
Thank you! We're definitely hoping to find the other Raggedy Ann one! This scan was sent to us, so they may be hoping to restore some of Chuck Jones' other work as well, but for this channel we'll just be posting the Raggedy Ann related stuff
Nice job! Looks pretty good. It's interesting to see the soundtrack printed on the side. Also, since this is a Chuck Jones animation, it bears a strong resemblance to the 1966 classic, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."
I honestly think the wolf is related to the same wolf that’s always going after the sheep in the Looney Tunes show also he looks like Wiley coyote maybe they’re related can you imagine if they turned out to be cousins?
Les Tremayne does such a good job in the special and people don’t know that he was actually British this is probably the closest you have a got to use his natural accent in role
@@raggedyannrevivaleffort Although you've already scanned this special, don't lose the chance of scanning an even better print, if @jasonbeard is still okay with loaning! This print is watchable, but very rough. If his print is even better, I'd say it's worth a second scan, even if it takes a while. I love this special so far, try to consider it, only if you can, of course.
@@raggedyannrevivaleffortYep, all this extra stuff around the edges wouldn't have been seen if projected on a screen, like in a classroom, or seen on TV, as it would be obscured through normal playback.
The original scan is available in higher quality on the Internet Archive, uploaded by the person who sent it to us: archive.org/details/tgcc_20231209
To be honest this is the first time that Raggedy Ann got mad it’s very rare to see her mad

@@raggedyannrevivaleffort true
@@raggedyannrevivaleffortI'm sure the original Johnny Gruelle stories had some "Ann being mad" moments.
The first time I have ever seen Raggedy Arthur on an animated cartoon.

Thought of Lupin III here.
Another one I had not seen since childhood. Glad to see it again.

I’ve made some ra&a artwork and hope to one day bring the franchise back. Can’t promise sadly

I completely agree with you, they are both so beautiful and cute!

They should make a TV Series for kids.
Disney Junior, Nick Jr., Cartoon Network or PBS KIDS?
@@justinhall9231They did, in the late 80's on CBS.

I’m honestly kinda shocked that Chuck Jones was the director for this!
