    Thank you for sharing this plug-in. This thing sounds incredible and really improved the sound of all of my lapel mics, including my Boya. That presence control alone really helped with clarity. I am running it in DaVinci Studio. Occasionally it has issues with the UI sizing but after creating a preset for each mic, I am able to just activate those.

      You can use this on any audio track recorded with any microphone. The settings on the plugin might be a bit different.
      On my recent video on the Sennheiser MKE200 I used the exact same plugins but with minor changes to the settings.

    Just a heads up that the link for to EQ indicates that the page was hacked. A comment on that page indicates that there was a virus in the download and another comment indicated that the correct link for the EQ is at "Ignite Amps". It is there but I haven't tried to download it yet.

      @@thomasfransson I don't know what to think about the comments at the bottom of the KVR page. Looks like the "hacked" comment was left in 2017 but the comment with the link directly to the Ignite Amps page was this past October. I guess I will try directly from the Ignite Amps page just to be safe. Looks like KVR is just a distributor. Thanks for the video and tips by the way. I use the Boya for most of my videos and find myself cutting the same frequencies so I would rather use this plug-in and save it as a preset.

    A lot of people saying this m1 mic better using via smartphone mode. When i look at your video description, you say you recorded with Fujifilm X-T4. It means you use this mic with camera mode switch on.
    If i use this mic via camera mode switch on with "Audacity" on my laptop's combo jack, does sound better like this video?

    Will this work live? Like while gaming

    • @thomasfransson
      @thomasfransson  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can make it work.
      But you'll need to pass the signal through a software that supports VST or AU plugins and route the signal from there to your streaming software. Sometimes this can require a sound card with multiple in and outs (at least back in the day when I used this method for my podcast live streams)
      There might be some delay on the audio this way because of processing. Sound cards with ASIO drivers with allow you to lessen that latency/delay to a point where it should be tolerable.
      If you don't have a sound card with asio drivers, there is something called ASIO 4 ALL which essentially gives fast asio drivers to any sound card.
      Mac computers have native low latency audio drivers.

    How to install this pleaee

    • @thomasfransson
      @thomasfransson  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's a guide in the description of this video.
      But basically install the plugin like any normal software and rememberwhat directoryit was installed in. In Premiere go to audio and audio plugins and from that window navigate to the directory where the plugin was installed. Add the directory and click ok.
      Sorry typing this from memory. But it's very easy as you will note.
      There's also a tutorial in the follow up video -

    • @thomasfransson
      @thomasfransson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It can be done but it's rather tricky and will require a sound card with multiple in and outs or a virtual mixer allowing you to route signals.
      Sending your microphone through the plugin and out from a software and in to another channel that feeds your live stream.
      But it's probably easier to get a used voice processor from Behringer and do it with hardware instead unless you own a multi in/out card

      The Boya comes with the option to connect it with either trs or trrs with the included adapter cable. Smartphones uses trrs while computers, cameras and other types of devices typically uses trs.
      Have you tried using the adapter cable when youconnectit to your computer?

    Does it work while gaming?

    • @thomasfransson
      @thomasfransson  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, there might be two ways.
      I've done this for my podcast, but it requires a sound card with multiple in and outputs to route the signal through the plugin and then into your streaming software.
      A potential second option would be to to try using a software called "vst host" a standalone program for vst plugins.
      A third option just came to mind, if you have a second computer you could run the vst plugins on that and run the output signal to your streaming setup.
      You will probably need asio drivers to handle any audio processing latency. If your current sound card don't have asio drivers there's a universal option called "asio4all"
      Forth option is to buy a hardware voice processor from a brand like Behringer and use real hardware instead of software. A used one could probably be found for $50

    How to make my boya m1 sound better while streaming?

    • @thomasfransson
      @thomasfransson  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You you could look into some sort of Live EQ software that you run on your computer and assign the EQ to your mic input and not the entire audio.
      I would say experiment with that first. It could be that you will get a slight delay (latency) because of the eq processing. If that should occur I would suggest trying a low latency driver like ASIO 4 ALL, if your sound card doesn't have native asio drivers.
      The second option is to get a cheap hardware EQ or pre Amp with a decent EQ built in. Something like the Behringer Vx2496 Ultra-Voice
      can be found used for about $50-60. That will give you a whole array of tools to make your voice sound as good as possible.
      Run your lavalier through that device before the signal gets to your computer and streaming software.
      That way you won’t have any latency and the sound quality will be good straight away. And your not taking processing power away from your computer, making your stream more stable.
      This is by far the best solution and it's how professional radio is done. It will serve you well even if you upgrade your microphone in the future.
