I did Crib Lem, after you recommended it earlier this year. That's a great route too, just started editing it now, and the drone footage looks great as it was misty when I went.
Lists are always fascinating but a climb running with water? Not for me, if it’s steep, although ghylls can be nice on a hot day. So, what would your replacement choice be if that gully did not exist?
Yeah, I quite like getting wet, wild camping in the rain is another interest I like too. Idwal Continuation is a good grade 2 route, with decent rock and plenty of other scrambles to do nearby. Bastow Buttress is another grade 2 I'd like to do again and it's close to the road so could be done in the evening plus lots of other routes nearby for a longer day but a slimy wet gully beats them all IMO. :-)
I must have lucked out with Bryant’s Gully. The lower section was wet but I managed to stay dry, from about a third of the way on it was bone dry though. Last July I think it was.
Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying them, there's lots more for me to film and next year I'll do a trip to the Lakes and film some of the scrambles up there too.
@@thebaldscrambler look forward to it. Do like how you keep it real with how realistic the scrambles are for different abilities. My bucket list has been added with some scrambles i thought would be beyond me, but your route descriptions as you go are a big help. 👌
Got it back this afternoon, all in good working order, just had to get DJI to unlock it as I reported it as a Flyaway but that only took them 10 minutes. Will put a short vid up with footage of the crash but I'm away for a few days, so maybe next week.
I was surprised at how enjoyable Cwm Glas Mawr approach was at grade 1
Interesting how we all like different things about the routes mate, definitely some A listers there

@thebaldscrambler great route too that and the route means a great deal to me! Bristly is my favourite grade 1 though.
*Crib Lem has to be up there for grade 1's. Gribin Ridge preceded by the so-called False Gribin, also*
Footage from Crib Lem was on my drone, that I got back today. I'll be putting that vid up next week or the week after but yes, great route.
I really enjoyed the overall day out I had on Crib Lem. The walk in was gorgeous, really atmospheric. Scrambling was good too.
short and to the point love it! Shout out to Penmaenbach arete
Shortest walk-in ever 🏆
Agreed. Fantastic rugged scramble that is! 🤙🏻
Nicely filmed. Careful now!
Yes!
Completely agree regarding Notch Arête. Wonderful scramble that needs to be double the length.
Also, the continuation above Idwal Slabs is similar but not quite as good.

Great stuff. Love your videos. Look forward to them. Inspiring me to keep going up north snowdonia and trying new routes 👍
