The mixing here is impeccable. The background vocals just at the right volume. The lead guitar being just a touch softer than the piano to accentuate that phoenix lisztomania style holding melody.
On my 15th listen, i noticed a little saint motel in their instrumentation as well. Fuckin hell

I love when the artists don't just cover songs that sound like they would sing them anyway. They take something totally different from their usual sound and make it completely their own and sound like something different, without even changing the melody
