I would absolutely love to have a patriot act version of India. but remember what happened after Hasan did that election episode? he was banned from entering the stadium when modi visited there and the irony was that he was there to talk about Indian Americans. fortunately Hasan being an American, he wasn't in any imminent danger but an Indian doing a patriot act version of India inside the country can be banned, jailed or murdered.

While if, here in India, even if the host is a Hindu that loves his country, he'll still be called a "deshdrohi" by many protesters.

I like both Hasan and Noah. but I will just correct you on one thing. Hasan's parents are immigrants, but Hasan is an American since he was born there and he won't be considered an immigrant for this very reason.

Vir is absolutely right. Being honest, I didn't cared about Sushant when I watched his Films. Ms Dhoni was good. Kai Po Che was forward looking. I would be trying Sonchiriya and Byomkesh Bakshi next. But these things doesn't matter.
I started to respect him and acknowledge his absence when I went through his insta, when I checked the cool stuffs he had posted about astrophysics. Wehn he tried different things. When I got to know he was fucking ranked 7th or something in the nation for his academics. Man, that guy was a genuis. Or else, who the fuck in Bollywood has that much brains to achieve such things? He took the drugs or not, that was his choice. But the things he did in life are something that I wish to accomplish now.

Vir Das is one of the best comedians on an international stage. He is shining a light on the tragic state of the country while making it funny and entertaining. Very few comedians(probably no other Indian comedian) can touch such current and sensitive topics without being ostracized for it by the 'patriotic' mob and 'news' media.
He is truly a gem. There are such comedians in America that speak the truth with comic relief. In India, there isn't so much tolerance in the people and the government.
Vir unfortunately cannot go all out. I wish there was true freedom or speech and journalistic freedom in India.

You cannot be tricked into smoking pot- the effect of a regular cigarette and a doobie are entirely different. Plus, there were statements recorded about how he talked about the best pot being available in Kedarnath. You can't have it both ways- SSR was so wise, and sorted, he knew who was right and wrong, he could tell real people from fake people- but he was in a relationship with a gold-digger and was tricked into smoking pot! The Mumbai Police has admitted that SSR's father informally complained to DCP Zone 9 about threat to his life. Even if there was an informal complain, how was police so certain about suicide from very beginning? The way they handled Bihar Police personnel, it took even SC by surprise. So yes, there are evidences glaring in face. Those evidences are not against his gf (as far as I can understand). But they certainly raise doubt on Mumbai Police's handling of case.

This is something that has made the most sense to me in quite a while! And it's so beautiful that you internalize all these things he says and are bound to laugh! I mean you don't come here thinking that this is comedy and shit.... You just listen to his facts and the reality in his words makes you laugh!
The thing is that people do not use their own brain. They just listen to someone else's perspective instead of using their own brain and decide if they like it or not based on how many other people are liking it (herd effect). And hence the biggest problem is that the side b is not giving out its perspective at all and not raising the core issues and is just completely silent. And hence they get no support. The core issues that I am talking about are: 1.no one is doing hard drugs they are just doing weed which was actually legal in India till 1965 and which is even legal in USA today 2. No matter hard or not if someone is doing drugs to TERA KYA JA RAHA HAI. Wo uski personal life hai, tu apne kaam se kaam rakh na.
And I have not seen a single influencer mention any of these above 2 basic points / core issues.
