As a teacher who studies history and has studied Jewish history, I find this project amazing. A real teaching tool! His story is quite amazing and teaches a lot about the social history and experience of growing up Jewish in America. For Nimoy, looking into his past gives a unique perspective on a respectable individual with a story to share!

I am not Jewish but I deeply and sincerely empathize with their struggle, particularly in the first half of the last century. Nothing has horrified me more as a child or as an adult like the honest descriptions of what happened to the Jews of Europe up to and during the second World War. It hurts deep in my heart, it's own place that nothing else has ever touched.

Leonard Nimoy was right all the way with what he said through this interview. Even as a Canadian Catholic, i was confused about Roosevelt and i believe the Jews suffered a great deal of loss during the course of this war.

Jean Tetreault I’m Canadian too! Our country had the same debate when we joined, Quebec still hasn’t signed the constitution. It was deep! English vs French/Acadians & Metis or Anglicans/Protestants vs Catholics. Canada had two Catholic Prime Ministers between confederation and world war one the majority of the elections juggled between Presbyterians and Anglicans. Acts of terrorism and 2 referendums later, we’re still one big dysfunctional family! It’s interesting that this is the feeling is relatable here.

The adults may have been reminiscing about the 1928 election when Irish catholic candidate al smith lost to Hoover.
