I love how Echo and Jocko can just listen, without interrupting the flow of Arnold's stories. This is how you conduct an interview!
Word. Appreciate that way of interviewing. Just a lil bummed that it is black/white...
Well this is Arnold Swartsenager. Tippy top. Not best o the best. Tippy top friend. Joko was nut in the sack. Your mind fails. Tippy top.

yea respect to that. straight up discipline and respect
what do you know?
I bet Echo was on cloud 9 when the great Arnold told him his “guns” are pretty big 😂😂😂
His poor wife... She's going to hear that story fifteen times this week and hundreds for the rest of her natural life. And his kids? Don't take Dad anywhere that he can stand by the grill or you'll introduce him and hear "..so Arnie, we're '*like this*', so that's what I call him, he says... Guns. ". And the kids are mortified mostly because half the people standing there have heard it. And how each year Echo and Arnie are '*like this*' just a bit more. 😆
Wonder if Arnold knows Echos inner child will literally never let that moment go
@@DearDivorcee would _you_ ever let that moment go? :)

'Comfort is the evil of everything' What a great quote!
Comfort is great when you earn it through work.
Comfort leads to idleness. Idleness leads to vices.
@@MortonGoldthwait Beware of making comfort the goal of your work and life. We are made for so much more than that. There will always be people in need. Helping our brethren is one of our principal tasks in this life. And to much comfort leads to spiritual laziness which is the begining of evil. Peace! my brother.
Absolutely.
Well if it it is than it is an evil I will have to tolerate...

Jocko is an adult and he's mature enough to talk to different people even if he or anyone else doesn't agree with them. I've noticed that both sides point fingers at each other and can't discuss anything without yelling or raising pitchforks. Nobody today can disagree with anyone on anything stupid thing without people wanting to automatically crucify them. It's ridiculous.
Crazy to think that Arnie was playing Jocko in the movies, and Jocko was playing Arnie in real life. Two Ledgends having a great conversation

The one and only Arnold Schwarzenegger. This man was my hero growing up and a huge inspiration for me. Great to hear stories of his early life.
His advice on working and toughing out is spot on, like the saying goes: Tough times make tough people. As a kid who was bullied all though school, my life changed when I discovered sports. My athletics coach, who I will be forever grateful for, provided me with guidance and pushing me when I felt like giving up. He changed my habits, my diet and my whole outlook on life. He is gone now (passed away in 2005) but i learnt his lessons well and try to pass them on to my children.

What he said during covid was unforgettable. Freedom is everything
Man… that was a let down wasn’t it…
That was the unforgettable part.... fuckin really. Not being an immigrant, not becoming famous for lifting weights, not for becoming the highest paid action star in the world with English being your second language, then becoming a member of the government to govern California. No, one moment during covid......that was the unforgettable moment that ended up not meaning shit. I couldn't have done those things, what about you, you do something unforgettable?
To be an influence to so many people and to say "screw your freedom". Yea, that is unforgettable and a disgrace to every man and woman that has sacrificed so that others may live in liberty. Fuck Arnold.

Jocko: Discipline Equals Freedom.
Arnold: Screw Your Freedom.
Both are right
Arnold made that comment from the perspective of trying to help those out there who are vulnerable. You could say he was misinformed perhaps but at the time he felt that lives depended on people wearing masks in public. Being alive seems more important than someone putting others at risk by expressing their freedom to not have to wear a mask if they didn't want to. I can understand the frustration he was feeling at the time, even if it was misinformed.
@@Verzeke and you are wrong.
never forget
@@RichieIsRight All authoritarians could make the same excuse. Also, if we were actually free to choose and discuss the issue, then being misinformed and arguing for masks wouldn't have been as bad.
