CIAO everyone! I've finally awaken from my slumber (I was playing Lords of the Fallen nonstop).
I really love this game (it's my favorite Soulslike) and I'm still currently playing it and waiting for more updates and patches.
As you may have hears at this point, the PvP is…a mess. BUT, when it works properly, it really shines and has a lot of personality.
Let's hope the devs can fix it in a reasonable amount of time.

For real…it's such a shame they release a game with a multiplayer system in this state.

I'm so happy you decided to do a video on this game's PVP, you're the perfect person to show off its high highs and low, low, Mariana Trench lows: the host-based, borderline occult netcode; the parry spam that makes Bloodborne blush in embarrassment; radiant builds; the lack of matchmaking; and the multiplayer "scaling" which produces invaders who feel like Elden Ring password phantoms on their 3rd Tren cycle. Coming off of Elden Ring, I'd forgotten what if feels like to crystal / sever out of invasions because it would be ethically indefensible to kill the host.
But despite all that, you can occasionally catch a glimpse of LotF PVP's potential, whether you're parrying and riposting your third dual Pieta's sword invader of the day (who only takes 40 damage from your attacks because of "scaling") or having an honest 1v1 between 2 melee characters. I'd love to see a world where more of that potential shines through.

Glad to see there are other people who has hope and passion for this game. I like this game to bits but it really needs a lot of polish. But with how much commitment and passion hexworks has shown so far, I do have the confidence they will pull through.
They finally released an autosave stutter fix on PS5. God bless…

Man it's so good to see another upload from you! This video is so funny and had me dead because every time I seen that time rewind I can't help but remember when I did a drop attack that teleported me back onto the wooden plank before putting me in the middle of the room to die. I love how you make the PvP look so good and fun while not ignoring the glaring problems. Also wanted to ask before I leave if you decided on a video to send to jjjacksfilms? I'm curious about what your own personal choice is as a favourite if not one of them at least. Also the way he shows them are randomised so you aren't in a long waiting list and have as good of a chance as someone like me who sent a vid on the first day.

btw, to answer your question, I decided to send my second Crimson Dragon video, the sequel. I decided mostly on how I did the editing for that video and because it doesn't have copyrighted songs, which I know it could be an issue on streaming.

seeing this makes me feel like i oughta give this game's content another shot. lots of cool weapons and spells here i didnt get to see, and if theyre improving the game it might be worth another playthrough
The PvE is just awesome, honestly.
No need to hold back for that one, maybe only on Series S I know about some hard performance issues.
Ps5 is not perfect, but it’s playable for sure.

i hope level based matchmaking comes pretty soon, i am tired of invading and being invaded by some super high level player that takes less than 10 damage regardless of what hits them
Yeah…a lot of times I just straight up one shot them or they oneshot me.
I will say as of present day of me posting this PVP is better than where it was plus new DRIP 💧
I heard that Oroboro was saying that they almost fixed the PvP entirely. I am kinda curious.

I will at some point! I genuinely loved the game, both PvP and PvE, and I didn’t have the chance to try the latest updates
Some of the footage I saw made me think it was literally unplayable but I suppose it depends on the platform. Said footage was probably from PC *sigh* but then again, streamers like Oro were on PS5 so I don't know. Don't have the game myself yet but I'm glad at least some people can have some fun out of it. Devs' attitude seems promising from what I can tell though, hope it gets better.
It could have been so MUCH better man, such a shame. It's criminal that they released a game with a multiplayer in this state. The PvE is fun as hell and the game itself has a lot of replayability, lots of builds, top tier fashion a fun mechanics. I love it.

It’s a mix bag…you could get a somewhat fun experience, or completely garbarge, as you can see. they are working on it, we just have to wait…

No, apparently they just match you with whatever and scale your character down. It does not use a level based matchmaking system like From games.

I’ve been saying it’s such a good time! World full of tarnished unwilling to give it an honest try. It’s buggy as hell but super fun.
The PvE is AMAZING. The game has super solid game mechanics and lots of original ideas.
The PvP is…well…a mess.

I haven't played myself (potato PC can't handle it), but I have heard pretty much everywhere that its a fun game with great ideas, but the PvP experience is severely lacking - and that's on top of massive connection issues.
I hope the devs can pull a bit of a No Man's Sky and fix this game, cause it seems it could be a nice alternative to Elden Ring otherwise.
Oh man…what a shame. The game is SUPER fun. Lots of great ideas, the Umbral world is very cool and functional for exploration. The world itself is very reminiscent of how Lordran works, with a big emphasis on interconnections between areas.
The best map of a Souls like, for sure.
Pulse, armor designs, weapons and spells variety….awesome.

I’m just getting constant auto save stutter at moment which is ruining game .. the pvp would be great if they fix online play rather than focusing on buffing and nerfing items
Yeah, autosave stutter is horrible on PS5, never experienced something like it.
Apparently the PvP connection issues are tied up to how Unreal Engine 5 works, so…I don't about any real fixes on that front.

Honestly I don’t know! I didn’t played too much with those at the time, and now the game has gone through several patches and fixes.
Yeah. Pretty much. So much missed potential. When it works we get a tiny view of great gameplay that rivals Elden Ring. When it doesn't work you become the pinball.
Such a shame that a very good pve game like this is dragged down by its lackluster multiplayer system. The game is so much fun.

Thanks! I put a lot of effort to show (the very real) both sides of this PvP. It could have been SO MUCH better than this. But unfortunately it has some glaring issues that just destroy any attempt.
I still sinked 200 hours in this game tho, I love it.

Well, compared to this Elden Ring PvP is incredible on every aspects. But that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t need adjustments and polishing.

The game isnt even PvP focused, Its obvious some weapons are better than others, and you cant Control the conection of your opponent. Fromsoftware made lots of patchs that ballance the game
Oh, that's true. FromSoft put a lot of effort to balance the game pvp experience, more than any other past games, for sure. Also, with the expansion we'll see finally a "complete" product and only after that we'll be able to judge it for its entirety. @@joaoaugustonunes6591
