All great upgrades, I’d say my favourite upgrade ls are
Twisted P600 Remap
Alive comfort suspension
ORE steering guard, cranked DRL bumper, seat box guards and light bar.
I have the same LEDs all round as you they really are good.
Next on the ever growing list is
Headlights
Rear work lights
Spare wheel carrier
It never ends does it !
Nice episode keep them coming
Cheers Mark- I forgot to mention the suspension- big upgrade that made a big diffnece
Your truck looks really smart, a proper head turner !
Cheers Dave!
I haven’t even got my defender yet and I’ve started modifying it, white Wolf wheels and LED headlights are being fitted by the garage I’m buying it from and I have a new steering wheel with quick release boss ready for when I get it. Also bought the MUD seat rails for a bit of extra room in the cab.
Sounds very nice that- enjoy!
Great summary video. I have done three of your six and will do the ORE bumper when mine really starts to delaminate. For what it is worth, I think you have got the balance right about your truck being stunning but not chavvy (so agree with that comment). I still procrastinate on the remap - always worry that the handling will become unbalanced
Thanks Alex appreciate it-just go for a stage 1 remap to start with - makes a huge difference
Stage one is a game changer it really makes massive change that’s well within a standard defenders tolerances, Next levels you need to think about better brakes and suspension to keep things safe and under control in my opinion.
@@thedoctorsgarage thanks- more to ponder
@@markriley2733 thanks Mark. Useful
1. Galvanised chassis etch primed and 2 pack painted; 2. Suspension and running gear: Koni HD shocks, HD anti roll bars, SuperPro bushes; Ashcroft HD half shafts, CV’s and drive flanges; 3. Rebuilt engine with gas flowed head and rebuilt gearbox / transfer box with 1.2 ratio; 4. YRM galvanised stuff, stainless fixing kits and lots of Ceramslip anti seize; 5. Demand Engineering stainless exhaust system.
Serious list that! Definitely some on there I’m keen on
In addition to your points, Wright Off Road seatbox and bulkhead sound insulation and a Slick Shift conversion.
I like your tire choice, even though the side with the white raised letters should have been placed on the inside. The truck looks great!
Thansk Jerry! I originally liked the white outside but I’m tending to agree with you now they have aged a bit
First on my list for every Series and pre-current Defender has been soundproofing.
So many I forgot in this video but I agree - every time I find some bare metal I soundproof it
Have you installed ORE or other Wheel carrier? Its not for looks but to protect rear door......
Not yet.. it’s on the list
Such a beautiful classic, had one in ORANGE 🍊 🤠🤟💯 my eyes are old so 8 needed to find it easy while parked 🤣⚡
That green is so awesome 👌
Soon be time for an exhaust 😃.
It will! I’m pacing myself - interior is the next thing then I will get back to you- sorry been so
Out of Touch
nice, id say my top 5 aren't disimilar, iv got a winch bumper with drl and rear nas step with removable tow reciever from wildbear both awesome pieces, second would be the stage 2 map from empire tuning!!!, third probably my rear reverse gear camera used mostly to reverse back up narrow overgrown byways lol.. fourth would have to be cruise control yup i said cruise control on my td5 90 from audiofile-incar, fith is my most expensive conversion to a dormobile pop roof and 270' awning with leisure battery and 240v hook up. from dormobile.
youve insired me to upgrade those interior door cards looks awesome and that would also prompt me in to upgrading the sound system to fill the tweeter space haha. and my front right wheel arch is cracked from a disagreement with a tree which has pealed of the silver paint so considering a black arch respray too.
Yes the door cards are great - more suited to a defender I think- also
I need to fill that speaker hole too!
oh i forgot the bonus number six 100% without a doubt LED lights all round and inside makes such a diffrence
My first upgrade was to replace all screw’s and bolts to stainless steel.
That’s a good one to be fair
Good choices.
🙏🏼
Hello, what is the paint color of your defender?
Keswick green 👌🏻
Nice some good ideas for mine
Glad it helped Ricky!
i know you have standard boost alloys and cooper tyres but do you have spacers fitted ? cheers
Hey yes 30mm spacers
@@thedoctorsgarage Thanks. They look perfect. 👍
Someone near me has a 90 and has put huge black alloys with low profiles tyres, its looks completely wrong
Yeah low profiles on a defender aren’t great!
Hello, can you please supply a link for the door cards, Thanks in anticipation.
Hey Terry- they are from PowerfulUK
Think that's the point with modifications.. self happiness!.. The things you have done in some respect arnt bank breaking too & you have ended up with your personalised landy which looks amazing 👏.. + With the mods you have done will also give it a better re sale price if you ever wanted to sell!. As not gone down the chain route lol. Good vid!
Thanks Richard appreciate it
Good video
Wish I’d spent more for a better looking 90 in the first place
Mine needs a re spray
But imagine how fresh it will look with a respray!
Great video and great contents what you have done is fantastic and transformed it
Cheers Stephen!
Good & cool choices! Nice project 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
