I just started learning Japanese and made this channel out of my hobby of watching VTubers.

@@neeevirus That was around the time when she transferred to Hololive. Before then she was a part of the Sakura Project under Cover Corp, but not Hololive.
0th gen merely means they weren't part of any Gen when they debuted. Sora was already there when Hololive was created, the concept of Gens weren't a thing when Roboco debuted. (I think) Miko was transferred from another... Branch? Agency? Under Cover to Hololive, AZKi is less a vtuber and more a musician using a 3d avatar, and Suisei was originally an indie vtuber.

She was part of cover corp project called sakura miko project, i am not sure about the project but i heard its a project that tried to replicate the success of kizuna ai,it ended with not so good result and she transferred to hololive after that. Then GTA moment come and here we are now.

I'm glad more people can know precisely how far she's come and how hard she's worked to get to this point. The Miko we see today is a cumulative result of all of her efforts and it's sometimes easy to take it for granted when you think "Oh yeah, well she's always been ELITE"
When people say "She/he worked hard to achieve something" I always imagine a person being loaded with a 50kg bag of cement and forced to climb a steep slippery hill filled with thorns and vines. And then this person emerges at the top of the hill covered in blood and sweat, and people say "look, she/he worked sooo hard". Is this really a case for vtubers? I imagine playing games and having fun each and every stream shouldn't be THAT hard.
@@user-kp8mv8od4c When it comes to entertainment it's hard to get noticed and keep the crowd. You noticed the ones who has thousands of views but what about the ones who could barley get a hundred or even 50 at least? It's easy just to play games, but you also have to be interesting while doing so because anybody could just play a game.
@@user-kp8mv8od4c As for Miko, it's really hard. Okay history time: Miko was originally from another branch of Cover called The sakura project, which was meant to be another Kizuna Ai at that time. However, the result wasn't that good. We all know how hard it is to work in a place where everybody just see you as a replica, a copied version more or less and have to live like everyone want you to be. Not to mention, vtuber wasn't really well known at the time and most viewers only watched famous Vtubers (for example Kizuna Ai) so imagine streaming with only a few viewers for a long time. Right now, some new gen members start with at least 50k subcribers before they even debut, however gen 0 had to start from 0, which is way different due to how stupid TH-cam's recommend system work. Umm and Miko had some serious health issues, which i won't mention because we all know how bad it was.. (she didn't stream for months and had to stay in hospital because of it). Working under pressure, low view, health issues and so on... That's why, to her, it's a long journey. Oh right, another point is that talking while playing game like that isn't that easy as you saw. It requires practice and preparation, 1 second of silence is the end so they always have to come up with new ideas, new jokes and even new play style. If you notice, every streams are different from each other (from jokes to how they interact), and you only have one day to come up with new streaming ideas before another stream comes.... so Yeah it's hard.
@@robox7814 @JJDude Thanks for clarifying some things, but dont get me wrong, I dont try to devalue the work Miko and others do. It's just that it feels... too different compared to regular grunt work most people do. Not to mention they have little to no success in what they do. Anyway, I hope all the major troubles are behind for our beloved holotubers.

I think Sora and Miko is the only two who weren't going through auditions. Roboco and AZKi both went through auditions if I remember it right.

Actually miko is a gen 0 and by that i meant she is actually start utube from scratch and alone with a goals which is become like her idol tokino sora . And she do struggle to keep motivated until one of her audiences suggested gta v That's when miko was a hit . If you search for "miko cry" u can see that at that moment she was with sora doing live with tons of viewers couldn't finish a song because too emotional tbh i too almost cry

From what I recall Miko was seen as a failed project and was going to be retired but that was around the time hololive was starting up like she said, and Yagoo chose her probably because it would make more sense to recruit someone who actually had experience as a Vtuber.
all members have vtuber/streamer experience, everyone you know used to be someone else. Miko(well her va) was a well known figure in the vtuber scene since it started. Project sakura miko started in '18 and she was transferred following the gen 2 roll out.
